The biggest question is surely how many towns does the victory parade hit the week after we win?
And how many days will Jack Grealish be on the lash after?
Be a tour of berlin i imagine
@@devilsolution9781so he’ll stop drinking when he runs out of Berlin bars?
To win a tournament you need a balance 11 mean LB should be left footed and one of left foot and one of right foot CB.
While in England defense everyone is only right footed and it is very unbalance
But the future is bright for England defense in come 2026 world cup when you have left footed CB (Collwill, Brantwhaite) right footed CB (Quansah, Harwood-Bellis) left footed LB (Hall, Illing Jr) right footed RB (Livramento).
So i will say England will win at least one tournament after 2025 be it 2026 world cup or 2028 Euro.
Wharton has an engine and can tackle, but the one thing that stands out about his game, is the accuracy of his passing and the fact that a lot of those passes go forward. He is not going to misplace a pass, which then leads to us conceding a goal. You can't say that about Mainoo, or Gallagher. Southgate is going to play two defensive midfielders and you don't want players who can't be guaranteed to find a teammate, in those positions. They need to win the ball and give it to the flair players, in threatening positions, that is all they have to do and Rice/Wharton is the perfect partnership to do that.
Saka is englands main creative player....look at stats of open play chances created in 23/24 season in europe top 5 leagues.....Saka and kane are englands main goal threat!
So these 2 are vital
The first question is the reason why Toney needs to stay in the squad - because if Kane gets injured he's the best replacement.
Because if Kane gets injured he's the best replacement.
Watkins plays different.
I imagine this was filmed before the news of the 4 omissions
Surely, you put TAA inverting from the LB position. Play Walker/Stones/Gomez as the solid back 3.
Its not like playing Trippier or Shaw or Gomez, at LB, makes England solid. Trippier and Gomez are already make shift LB's and Shaw is vastly overrated.
At least TAA offers something unique, to that England back 4, someone special in possession.
So you’re taking Trent away from the spaces where he’s most effective? Madness.
@@ConorF727 Not sure how TAA is more effective sitting on the bench 😂😂. Its LB inverting into midfield or the subs bench 😂😂.
100% agree about the off the Field stuff. And i think it matters. i love following this England side in a way i haven't others. They seem nice lads, with a nice bloke leading them.
For a moment I thought you were going to say you were going to make your entire family watch Iceland v England 2016 🤣
Play Trent on the left inverting. Not only you avoid the left back situation, but you could also then get away with Jude in the double pivot bombing on with Trent behind him. Then have a proper left winger keeping width. If foden playing left wing we don’t have a high flying left wing back to keep width anyway
Would you have to play Gordon there then as he’s got the best defensive output??
@@QuaZamp yeah or Grealish just for experience in that system
"That is a testament to what he's done as an England manager."
Absolutely.
People say that England are now favourites and so Southgate should be winning this tournament, as though this has happened in a vacuum, as though this development has had nothing to do with him.
It doesn't have anything to do with him
I mean our stats aren't great considering our talent. Not sure where else the blame can lie tbh. Easy runs aren't a counterpoint
@@nickwoodward819 what talent are you comparing to?
@@BohemianRaichu I'm not sure I understand the question? Obviously talent within other European sides?
Some examples: Kane - golden shoe, Bellingham - topped Madrid's goals, was up front in la liga until injured. Still came 3rd from midfield. Foden - player of the season. Palmer - young player of the year, taking it off of Saka. Rice - central to Arsenal, no denying his quality, or Walker, one of few to keep Mbappe quiet (and praised by him for it). No denying Trent's quality - hence 2/1 odds of a transfer to Madrid. Stones - arguably City's best CB behind Kompany.
And there's plenty of solid talent amongst the rest (Eze/Gordon/Gallagher)
Again, I really don't understand the question? If there wasn't real talent here we wouldn't currently be the favourites. You can argue if that's justified, but even if we weren't, our stats wouldn't reflect the quality in the team.
@@nickwoodward819 Well one, that's almost wholly attacking talent, and defense is important.
But also in comparison to England sides of previous decades.
You two are absolutely sleeping on Wharton! Oh boy, are the England fans in for a treat this tournament.
Absolutely agree. The four times Arsenal played Rice at 6 they lost and drew their games and it cost them the title. I don’t think we have anyone in the quad that plays that position like him. It’s Maino vs Rice for the other position.
While I'm admittedly upset that Branthwaites been omitted, I'm so pleased Wharton has made the final squad!
The idea that “if we’re getting overrun then we’ll bring on Gallagher to do loads of running about” c’mon guys!!! Southgate is finally going for it. No more set piecing our way to the final. Front foot, attacking, flair players. If we win, we win in style, in Germany, with revenge over France!
@@stevenh77 like Churchill would’ve wanted
He won’t get on. It’s Southgate
Damn, the 26 is something
Gomez, should play left back.Trippier is not the answer and Gomez is 6ft 2. I wouldn't have taken Trippier on form alone. We will need height at set pieces especially now Rice,a main threat at corners now seems to be taking them. Stop this.We haven't scored from a corner in ages.
England manger got no idea
Back 4- TAA, Walker, Stones, Shaw (if fit). If not, back 3- Walker/ Stones/ Gomes
You want 3 fullbacks in a back 4? We’d get smoked
The England manager should be English, it would feel almost like cheating to have someone like Poch or Klopp.
Farage would just bray loudly that we won, nevermind the foreigners with their "score"
🥱
Euro 96 was fortunate 😂
12:00 Walker has a notoriously awful left foot. We'd be better off playing Trent left back and Walker right back
'Expectation like you've never felt before' - you're both just puppies. How old are you? 20's early 30's? My first game was against Poland in 1973! You young uns make me laugh.
Ha brilliant, I was 10 then, Clough was great in the commentary, calling the keeper a clown.
England will continue to struggle breaking teams down if they continue to play their best no. 10 out of position for a great number 8. Long may it continue.
Foden? LOL.. 🤣🤣
GIVE ME A BREAK
@@ronnyron4681you not rate the premier Leagues player if the year?
@@ronnyron4681 Lol, yeah, imagine the player of season being so highly rated.
No one uses a #10 anymore though. Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti…none of them use a real #10, and they’re regarded as the best managers around
@@GIBBO4182 well to be fair. For the past 2 years KDB has pretty much played in the 10 spot behind Haaland.
