@@typo6616 that's not one continuous scene like the temple diorama. Better example would be the Bespin Duel going from the Carbonite Chamber to the hallway, to the catwalk.

The endor bunker could be a facade for the middle scene? Would need a decent number of figs tho like an MBS
Honestly each of the 3 scene-dioramas could easily be priced as individual $50 sets. Its such a dense set with great play mechanics. 100% worth the price
Hey MandR just letting you know, you actually are able to use the whip on the play feature over the pit. You just wrap it around the piece up top and twist the knob.
I think you have really grow as a person, RUclipsr, and reviewer over the past few years. I used to be a bit of a hater because I really believe you were much too negative about Lego. That’s not to say you were not right in what you were saying, just how you were saying. I think recently you have landed in a place where you state the criticism without over doing it. All this to say, you have a renewed my faith in your great channel. Congrats on the house :)
I really like this set, it’s really well done. My only (small) wish is that the boulder scene had a bit of a longer corridor to draw it out a little. Although, I guess compromises here give more room for details later on. But otherwise super awesome!
this was awesome. definitely the best diorama set. so many different play features as well! it was beautifully designed and the light brick was a nice touch. wish they would incorporate it more. sets like this really benefit from the light and add more atmosphere as a display.
I would've liked to see Jock and another warrior for $150. But still this is a banger. I fortunately have the old one so I can't wait to put these side by side.

This set is absolutely amazing despite its horrible flaw of having stickers for the quote tiles… I have held the opinion that cutting corners by adding stickers for the tiles instead of prints like the other dioramas have had in the past is a bad thing, and I have received a lot of hate for that opinion. I can’t believe how many people will just blindly defend LEGO even when they are wrong! I don’t think it’s right for a billion dollar company to raise prices and take away things such as prints and quality control that should be a given! LEGO just pulling their same old selfish crap. The set otherwise is fantastic though, can’t wait to pick it up! Hope they don’t use stickers for the new Star Wars dioramas!
The Lego community and especially the US Lego community as some high amounts of fanboysm and copium that prevents any meaningful and justified critique of the Sets. Even on this channel I have rarely seen a review that isn't 9/10 or 10/10. The stickers are an absolute no-go and a slap in the face of any adult collectors especially with the price they are asking for this set. I myself have purged and sold all sticker sets out of my collection. That leaves me with the Star wars dioramas and mostly Cobi, MOCs and some sets from Chinese premium brands such as Pantasy. As you mentioned, I really hope that Lego doesn't pull the same shit on the new Star Wars dioramas which are laughable overpriced from what we have seen anyways. At least they won't be Lego exclusive so they will be heavily discounted day 1.

at first I was thinking "why a diorama, why not a playset so it has more space" but then we got to the last section and I'm bought, it looks beautiful and it's probably the most complex mechanism I've seen in lego system since that V19 torrent wings. Flaws you mentioned dont stop me from giving it full 10/10 score
So easy to get the skin tone matched. Just need the Pantone booklet for the ink used. Hold the skin colored cards up against the minifigure head until you find the match. Then a base color of white printed where the skin will be on the torso, to help keep the opacity of the the skin colored ink being printed over it. Can't print light colors over dark ones, it's really the basics of color and design. Worked at a bmx company that is much smaller than lego. We took the time to match the red rubber tires with the color red we'd be using for the bikes decals. A process lego should take when working with two different materials and color matching.
I definitely am going to pick this one up, the stickers for the plaque are disappointing but still a must buy. I would have liked to see one more Hovito tribesman included. All three of the Indy sets are must haves for me.
I really appreciate the price point of this set because it feels on par with other licensed sets that cost $200+. It's the perfect size and has so much playability to offer with those cool hidden Technic elements!!
In regards to the pit, it might just be the camera and lighting but to me the black makes a reflection of the wall and it looks like an actual hole. A sticker would’ve been nice but at first glance in the video it looked legit.
I’m seriously thinking picking this up. I’m not a die hard Indiana Jones fan but back in 2008 I bought those OG sets but never got the temple set which I kind of which I did plus it looks like a solid build. That plus the opening in this movie is always neat.
After Lego released the Ferrari Daytona SP3 with a printed fact plate a lot of people assumed Star Wars UCS sets would start getting printed fact plates, but with the diorama sets getting sticker display tiles are we still sure the UCS X-Wing won't have stickered fact plate? Seems suspicious!
Something is wrong with my mechanism. When I turn the nob then the place where the golden idol is turns up and the face above falls down😢 The thing that the golden idol is standing on is supposed to go down and the face above falls. But it doesn’t do that i need help😢
On mine, it is VERY difficult to turn the knob to the right, as if you're going to break it. Yet mine looks just like this and like the instructions say it's supposed to be. I wonder if some sets just aren't made right.
This one is just the best by far just like the lego up house and Rivendell hopefully I’ll be able to get the up house soon and then I’m going after the golden idol temple and Rivendell

I havent bought lego for a long time but do you think that I have to buy this right at the release because it will be sold out very quickly or can I wait some days?
Tampo printing (aka pad printing) can’t do gradient colours. It’s technically impossible. All other sets that include name plates with printed pieces feature solid colours so it makes sense that the red to yellow to white gradient on the Raiders design had to be a sticker. They couldn’t replicate it correctly with tampo printing. That to me explains the reason for the Raiders sticker and I’m ok with the sticker being used. The white text plate could/should 100% be printed but maybe LEGO decided two stickers was better than one sticker and one print. Who knows?

And obviously we have to do it on Indy, he’s the main man! As for the other 2? Just give them any old unprinted legs!” Bare minimum springs to mind rather than premium set!
Do you think Lego cancelled the Temple of Doom set to make a display diorama set like this? Imagine a temple set with the booby trap room, a ritual chamber with a cage that lowers down, and a mine cart chase. Then for the last crusade you do the same with the 3 trials before the grail.

Omg I used to have the original back in the day. This is a cool reimagining but the old one was definitely bigger and had a longer boulder track

This is my probably one of my favorite scenes out of all the movies. I have always wanted a set of this scene. This might have to be one I get.

Why is the big Indy set so cheap compared to Rivendell or is that just to do with licensing cost differences? . Or more to do with certain parts used?
