Love it I have several griffins now I love everyone of them all different configurations, depending on what type of gameplay and battles what we are engaging in
The Gryphon is my favorite flywheeler, fun and easy blaster to use! It's served me well at local games
It's so easily customised as well.
The Gryphon is easily one of my favourite blasters. I've owned several.
Ah, the Gryphon: such a nice, beautiful little beast. They're absolutely gorgeous. The horizontal flywheel cage might be a bit funky, but I think it gives it a neat profile. You could very easily paint up the cage section with a lot of sci-fi elements, like wire coils, hazard tape, etc., and get something like an energy rifle.
I know the Gauss Rifle in fallout 4 has a similar bump, though it's further back.
Finally!! Such a good platform. Love mine!
Great blaster! I had Brandon Diaz build me one a few years ago and your’s is about as good as mine. Not the most accurate or powerful blaster, but it’s a lot of fun. It’s my main primary… the trigger is nicely snappy. Bangarang!
I am proud to say I fling foam with the dude who invented this.
Looks good, Cap. And it performs very nicely. I think you should get a sidearm version of it as well. Then you could possibly…dual wield!
I'm not sure if I'd ever want to buy a gryphon but for those with a 3D printer I'd certainly say print one. Its a nice easy print and there are SOOO many options you can customise as you like. If you can't make your own I think there are other options worth looking at but for DIY its the best.
If I was to get a cost-effective 3-D printer to print something like this out, what would you recommend me getting that’s 200 to 300?
my gryphon, named Squirtle squad is the club back up and has a bcar on it to make it silly accurate. you should get a banned blasters cage done for it and then really enjoy it.
Looks good cap'n.
That looks nice im more of a fan of springers myself when it comes to darts but flywheel rival is great
I have reviewed and own many of them. Easily my favorite platform. Especially my Banned Blaster Gryphon.
I can’t wait till you get your hands on a Protean.
Soon...
@@CaptainXavier yay!
@@CaptainXavierhardware for that arrives between tomorrow and Monday so I should have it to you by next week
I’m not familiar with flywheel setups, what does it do to the darts with that kind of crush? Great video as usual Captain!
I can see the darts very well! Yellow workers?
Dartzone Bamboos.
It looks great how you've painted/printed it up, idk why but it just doesn't look.. right in the brighter colors. The darker tones make everything "fit" together.
Unrelated note: Have you seen the new nerf pro images? looks promising buuuuuuut ive learned to remain... skeptical.. of hasbro lol.
Now you need a lynx. Lol
What bumpers do you use for your 18 round talons? I've seem them a bit but can't figure out what they are.
You know what? I have no idea. The files were sent to me.
Darn! Oh well. Thanks anyway
Would recommend stronger torque Motors or a lower Crush to Maximize performance or minimize dart destruction, because that Crush is too high vor Krakens.
But looks wise it’s awesome!
Define "maximum performance." I need it to hit just under 150 fps. It hits 145 consistently.
With higher Torque Motors, I would guess 180-200 FPS, and with lower Crush Cage I would expect similar performance but less Dart destruction
*similar to 150
@Allesfruchtig_nicht Cool! So all I have to do is buy new motors, print cages in all the possible spacings, rewire the blaster half a dozen times as I test them all until I find the combo that gives me the exact performance I am already getting, reprint the flywheel cover, and repaint it. All so I can conform to your definition of "maximum performance"? ...I'll get right on that... ;P
But seriously, that is really good info for future builds. Which motors and spacing do you recommend for 150?
Also, someone just randomly mailed me 12,000 darts so...dart damage is not something I am overly worried about. ;)
I personally used 42mm spacing with Fang‘s on 2s and Daybreak‘s for avg. 145 on elites, and 41.5 with Fangs or worker 132 43k rpm Neo Motors on 3S for 140-160 on short-darts depending on Blaster and Barrel length
I have a Griffen from Xfox games it worked great but one of the fly wheels does not spin up enough so the darts do not fly out and get stuck in the fly wheels if u guys have any suggestions pls help thanks
Well, either the motor is dead/dying or the wheel is getting jammed. I would take off the flywheel cover and see if there is some debris jamming the wheel. Failing that, I'd replace the motor.
@@CaptainXavier ok thanks I will do that
