    My mom gave me her rose od Sharon out of her yard when she moved. It obviously has sentimental meaning to me. It's the older variety so it sends up shoots all around it. I just clean them up and move on. It's a tree at this point and huge. It gives me the most beautiful flowers. I love it!! It was very satisfying watching you trim up the spirals and mulch!

    Great job as usual! I can’t wait to get into my gardens. It’s 44 degrees and going up to 50 today in PA. I wish it was 70+ here. Loving watching you plant mulch and design. I have rose of Sharon all over my gardens with one standard! Thinking about making more now!😊

    I'm looking forward to seeing the hibiscus/Rose of Sharon trees in bloom! If you're in a hot zone such as 9 or above like I am, you cannot grow Rose of Sharon however. Unfortunately, the nurseries often only label the plants as hibiscus, without staying it's Rose of Sharon. Don't be crying the blues like me. Thank goodness, I can grow all the other varieties of hibiscus 😊🌺🌺🌺

    Good morning! Another great video! And you said something telling to me. The knowing the mound of mulch is on your driveway; compelling you to get it done! I have that same issue. Someone could tell me I have a year to get it done, I'd still work on it every waking moment until I get it done! Anxious obsessive compulsive disorder.

      I totally relate 💯!! The pile of compost I had delivered last year stressed me out I said never again!! Bags are so much easier. Plus shoveling & wheelbarrowing is double the work!

    Everything looking good, definitely giving me inspiration to start in my yard. I already have my veggie garden ready to go. Hey I have a suggestion, I don’t know if you about this plant, but have you ever thought about using Bergenia in your shade garden? They are so pretty! Proven Winners has one called Miss Piggy and a new one called Peppermint Patty.

    • @KreatyveGardenista
      @KreatyveGardenista  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for the suggestion! I actually saw some at my garden center today but they were not hardy in my zone.😔 I''ll have to check out the proven winners ones!😉

    So off topic, but what do you do about snakes in your yard. I live in Georgia & my mom is afraid to plant anything because she saw a snake one time. I heard marigolds are a snake repellant but I want her to add more plants to her yard other than marigolds 🤣 have you had that experience?
    The spiral is so cute!

    • @KreatyveGardenista
      @KreatyveGardenista  2 месяца назад

      I run into snakes every single day in my garden LoL. I just let them be.. luckily I only have Northern Browns which are beneficial to the garden & harmless. I actually kept one as a pet beside my bed a few yrs back (there are vids on my channel) But to answer your question, I don't do anything to prevent them.🐍

    Just curious, have you tried amending the soil for the rhododendron? To me it looks like it's lacking iron and the soil needs to be more acidic.

    • @KreatyveGardenista
      @KreatyveGardenista  2 месяца назад +1

      I have tried everything! I have even had someone come out from NC Extension to test it's soil & take cultures... this is it's 3rd transplant & my 4th rhododendron replacement. I'm done with them. It will be going to a friend's house after it blooms.

    Have you considered planting bleeding hearts in ur shade garden?

    • @KreatyveGardenista
      @KreatyveGardenista  2 месяца назад

      I have actually.. they were some of the first plants I came across when I was shopping for shade loving plants years ago & I just don't care for their look unfortunately so I never planted them.
