In this scene, for the first time in his life, Zero knows the truth. He's here to do something monumentous; and he knows that in killing Chronos, he, too, will die. The ending turns all of that on its head, of course. But for a moment, so close to the end, the alternating wonder and confusion and _brutality_ of the rest of the game fell away, leaving me an ephemeral feeling of unadulterated _hope._ _Delusive Bunker_ really contributed to that, I think. It sounds so _final..._ but not _venomous._
He was not here to destroy chronos, nor was he a hero, he came for more chronos to live a few more days and he would kill hundreds for it. No remorse, nothing. This soundtrack is played when he is slaughtering all those who get in his way inside the bunker, both pt.1 and pt.2 He then kills another Null Soldier, In the end, you can see that he was not a war hero, he was the one behind child killings and war crimes. He did not feel anything, there was nothing righteous about him, even that little girl was part of his imagination.
@@sikethatsthewrongnumber9278 In the pre-fight dialogue with Headhunter, she (accurately) tells Zero that there is no Chronos left, to which Zero responds by saying "I'm not here for Chronos." Besides that, following the revelations from Leon in the Slaughterhouse, the Psychiatrist rouses Zero to action with an impassioned speech about ensuring that Chronos is _never_ re-developed, and the sole justification he gives for the Bunker mission is the importance of ensuring that nobody else is ever made into a NULL. I'd say all of this is reasonable grounds to conclude that Zero is motivated by a performative narrative of heroism in the Bunker scene, especially in light of the idealism he demonstrates when talking about his service medal in the rooftop scene: "It reminds me that no matter what I'm doing now, I did something good once." Of course, Zero _is_ a war criminal. But he was also a child soldier--the war happened seven years ago, and his dossier list him as only 22 years old during the events of the game. Zero is a victim of New Mecca as much as he is its weapon; and haunted by memories of killing other children during the war, he's unwilling to go through with killing Al-Qasim's family when he finds them in the Bunker's saferoom, despite knowing that his refusal will alienate the Psychiatrist, Zero's only known remaining source of Chronos. I really don't think self-preservation is Zero's primary drive during the Bunker.
But seriously- without your works, the memories and energy of Katana Zero would not come to life in my head as vividly. Your music and the way it was put into the game seriously complimented every single scene that was added. Even today I can't stop listening to the soundtrack- it is a beautifully composed masterpiece of indie soundtracks. And the hard work to make this whole video makes me happy. It came out brilliantly. Don't stop.
5:00 - it's just the most powerful moment in the entire composition. So goosebumps run on the skin... Katana Zero without LudoWic - just killing simulator. LudoWic gives the biggest part to the perception of the game. Thank you for amaizing job, LudoWic!
This gives me so much BF3 ost vibes, listen to it while smashing it with my M60, while tanks blow up next to me and seeing the helis/jets make strafe runs above me....its such a piece of art that i cannot explain how i feel after a round.
WOW!!! Keep it going Maestro! I remember finding out about the artist when "LudoWic Jam 1" showed Up on a feed and I decided to check it out. I'm still checking it out today.
Love this masterpiece. It is a pleasure to see the mastery with which you handle your instruments. Music made by a genius for a game made by another genius!
please do a studio reveal or some tutorial like videos where you explain your gear. would really like to know some of the sound design aspects of your tracks as i am currently working on a katana zero styled track myself.
@@ludoWicmusic We all appreciate your consideration of it. In the meantime, enjoy some chronos so you can continue to rewind again and again to perfect even more tracks, hopefully for a sequel or DLC to the original Katana Zero.
Não tem ideia do quão incrivel é essa musica, Eu a coloco todas as vezes que vou jogar independente do jogo, eu queria aprender a tocar ela no teclado do quão incrivel ela é, I love you work, You are Amazing!
Yo Ludo, your tracks are absolutely stunning and atmospheric, how much in USD would you charge a commission for a single track if I were to one day commission you for an indie game OST?
So iirc this is the same stuff that Andrew Huang has right? How do you even save sounds and stuff on this? Iirc its almost impossible to replicate something if you take off the wires... Cool song btw Edit: Btw the flashing lights hurt my eyes :(

This isn't music. This looks like some sci fi spaceship and you're the 40 years experienced veteran riding it!
He looks like the scientist of music
Loved the mission just because of this song playing in the background.
same i even stopped moving to listen to it.
