  • Soundscape recorded on the edge of the Fagradalsfjall volcano eruption lava flow in Iceland. Recorded at night with no other visitors present.
There is something sustaining an eerie hiss, the emission of volcanic materials a kilometer away. Nearby, the higher-pitched, almost glass-like, sounds of liquid lava setting into volcanic stone and pumice.
The wind, ever-present on Iceland, appears to be driven by the volcanic eruption and is hitting on the lichen-covered rocks that I'm standing on.
    Recorded with #audiotechnica large-membrane stereo microphone AT-4025 #sounddevices MixPre recorder. ‪@AudioTechnicaUSA‬ ‪@sounddev‬
