Did anybody ask what if Jason is wrong about GOD and the Christians are right?
If the Jewish nations had kept Torah and worshipped the one true God there would have been no need for anything in addition to the Torah. However the Jewish nation slaughtered the prophets, disrespected their God by refusing to listen to his word or keep his commandments choosing to worship dungy idols rather than keeping the commandments given to Moses. The Kosha law was given to keep the nations of Israel in good health. The commandments were to keep the nations of Israel in union with God. As these nations would not adhere to Gods' standards and opposed him God opposed them and still opposes those who disregard his laws which he has written in the hearts of his creation. Therefore those who obey their God guided by conscience are acquitted but those who disobey the law of God as their conscience bears witness will suffer retribution to twice the amount of pain they inflict upon others it will come upon them in the judgement because no one escapes pay back for sins inflicted upon others or for disobeying the law of God the Almighty.
me me If Jason is wrong about God, then Tanakh has to be wrong? What sect of Judaism you belong where Rabbi are considered infallible in their understanding of the Tanakh?
I cant speak for all Christians but majority of us Christians, doesn't trust our own understanding. In all our ways we acknowledge The God of Israel.

The prophesies were looking toward a great peaceful time(s)...which didn't happen..quite the opposite...the land became desolate..the people were dispersed. Mathews point was that a young girl( possably a virgin) was sign that a better king than these would eventually come. And that would happen thru the Messiah...in the future.

@@56username the messiah is foretold to be a human from the line of David through a biological father. Rabbi/priests must be from the line of Aaron, a Levite, and must be married, as is commanded. The Davidic king cannot be both a king and rabbi.

It is not mere words that should sway you but rather grow in your own spirituality. For example a man who is married yet has wandering eyes . Do you think at some point he will break ??? When he brought up Deuteronomy 24:16 the father shall not be put to death for the sins of the children that pertains to a sinful sacrifice; the father isn't sinless before God, the child doesn't believe IN his father as his sacrifice to God for him, the father wouldn't have been the sacrificial lamb of God in the Passover meal for all mankind: no one could die for another in the other's place to cover all the sins of the other, only for a certain number of sins, but it wouldn't have been a sinless sacrifice.

The only way to resolve some kind of similar conclusion - is to first agree on what is the starting point or record. As long as one part discusses with the N T texts in mind as an already preconceived idea about truth, and the other part has Tanach and it's own context in mind, - this 2000 years old debate will never reach a final conclusion and with both party's reaching answers that satisfy.

If Jason is right, where was The GREAT GOD of Israel when about 6,000,000 Jews were killed? That's about half the number of Jews who walked out Egypt during the time of Moses where The GREAT GOD of Israel performed countless wonders. What does G-d have to say with the 6,000,000 Jews who was killed?

I agree that we should ask what does God say.
Can you read Zechariah 12? Who is speaking through the prophet?
The easy to say, hard to accept answer is that God created this world as a job for us to do, and that requires the ability to fail at this job. If God would interfere in the test to guarantee success he would undermine the very reason why he bothered to create the world in the first place.
Also, this is not the first time God has punished the people, as he said he would from the outset when we defy him (or you can call it the natural consequence not following correct behavior - you get undesirable results). In this case one could say that the punishment was for insisting on staying in the exile after the return to the promised land already started.
The purpose of the Nazis was to wage war against God and wipe out morality. Jews are the originators of the belief in God and the moral idea, we are the carriers of these ideas, and the Nazis wanted these ideas permanently gone. They figured we have some inherent trait that causes us to spontaneously come up with these ideas out of thin air, so the only way to prevent them from popping up again was to physically exterminate us.
The Nazis waged war on God by waging war on God's people.

I would like to point out that the line of Solomon was mentioned in Mathew but because Solomons line was cut off then the alternate lineage was used in Luke directly connecting Jesus to Mary. It also states in Genesis that the seed would come from the woman.
It certainly does not. If you referring to Gen 3:15, that is a stretch. It does not even say "seed of a woman" like there is any ambiguity in the matter. It says "her seed", with her being identified in the verse as Eve. The offspring of Eve literally refers to all humans. Saying the messiah must be human is, like, okay... so what?

As a zjew who was taught to reject the truth that one would die as a lamb for our sins and make intercession for us. Just to make sure, I'm assuming that you know in Genesis Chapter 49 Jacob blesses his sons. In verses 8-10 Jacob blesses Judah with the privilege of Kingship.
In Numbers Chapter 1 (Verses 1-18) we read that the entire assembly of the Children of Israel establish their genealogy of their families according to their fathers household.
A Jews tribal affiliation is patrilineal. (Descendant through the father). For example , a Jew with a father from Judah and a mother from Asher belonged to the tribe of Judah.
You mentioned: "In Num. 26 and again in Num. 36 it says that if a Father has no sons hisinheritance is passed to his daughters provided they don't marry outside of their tribe."
If you go back and reread you will see that in Numbers Chapter 36 verses 6-8 it states:
Verse 6: This is the word that Hashem has commanded regarding the daughters of Zelophehad, saying: Let them be wives to whomever is good in their eyes, but only to the family of their fathers tribe shall they become wives.
Verse 7: An inheritance of the Children of Israel shall not make rounds from tribe to tribe; rather the Children of Israel shall cleave every man to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
Verse 8: Every daughter who inherits an inheritance of the tribes of the Children of Israel shall become the wife of someone from a family of her fathers tribe, so that everyone of the Children of Israel will inherit the inheritance of his fathers.

When the daughter in Zelophahad circumstances married, her husband was adopted into her family and took her name , ref called by their name Barzillai
Ezra 2:61. Joseph was adopted into Mary's lineage and would have taken her name. So Yeshua was a king in line from David and Solomon. That's why pregnant Mary travelled to Bethlehem to be taxed-inheritance went through.her. Despite being a patrelineal system Mary had Zelophahad inheritance so she too had to be registered. Luke2:5 . So Jeconiah had no sons on the throne and yet Yeshua is still a king of the line of David. New testament is accurate as it is written.

Josh is a nice man, but he did a terrible job here. As the head of Jews for Jesus for a major city like LA you would expect more. In 2 Samuel 7 it speaks of Gods Covenant with David.
In verses 12-13 G-d promises David King David that when his days are fulfilled he will establish a son for King David that will build a House (temple) for G-d.
As you read the Jewish scriptures you will see that King David son who built the temple was Solomon.
1 Kings Chapter 5 Verse 5 - Solomon says : "I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the Lord my God, as the Lord told my father David, when he said, ‘Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will build the temple for my Name."

Again, just to be clear I am not saying that the Messiah is not descended from King Solomon. In fact the Messiah IS descended from King Solomon as per Tanach. The point is, jesus is not the Messiah. Scripture is actually pretty clear the Messiah has to be descended from King Solomon. How we know this is because God said that He will establish King Solomon's throne FOREVER. (2nd Samuel 7:13 and 1st Kings 9:5) Thus the Messiah MUST come through King Solomon.

Beliefs aside... based on performance and knowledge of the material Jason won the debate hands down. That was surprising to me considering this was the director of Jews for Jesus. The director was unable to answer several times, he is unfamiliar with several verses, he stumbles over his words and more or less seems to try and dodge the topic a few times. He seems nervous based on what the material says quite a bit. Jason could use a bit more practice on his public speaking skills, but he's already doing quite well based on knowledge of the material he certainly won in that debate. Based on all points he won that debate. Only someone who bring religious bias into it would disagree.

In regard to Daniel 9 mentioned in the video at 1:31, Josh Sofer says that this is one of the few times that *the Messiah* is spoken of. Oddly enough, if one looks at the passage in Daniel 9, the words *the Messiah* do not appear there at all. Rather the verse simply states *messiah* without any qualifier. This is part of the misconceptions the Christian missionaries try to present when attacking their potential victims. In truth there is no reason to qualify this as a reference to the Messiah as there is absolutely nothing in Daniel 9 that would imply such a thing.

One thing that was not brought up is that is important when reading a Christian Bible. The gospels weren't even written for decades AFTER JC died! There is nothing in them that says the writers were eye witnesses so the things that are quoted at JC's words can't be direct quotes!
