For my buds who still use legacy settings and want good aim assist as on the new aim settings (linear......) Change the (R) stick deadzone to 0.06 and see the magic happen. Dont know how it works but my aim became way better with this change (my settings: X: 84 Y:80 build: 2.3 edit:1.9 and ADS(doesnt matter use what feels better)) Good luck with these settings.

The lower deadzone essentially tricks the aim assist. As long as there is some stick movement on the player model the aim assist will kick in and pretty much do the rest. It's both the coolest thing and most broken thing about linear settings.

I use the Razer Wolverine Ultimate Edition, I suggest you get it too, 6 programmable buttons, magnetic joysticks for customization, magnetic dpad, trigger stops.
I think the razer wolverine ultimate should be considered for controller. It has 4 paddles and 2 additional buttons in between the L1 L2 R1 R2 buttons. They're super convenient when pickaxe switching and reloading/ interacting. Thumbs never leave the sticks.

I play regular xbox one controller and play exponential settings. I also don’t L2 and don’t ads with an smg, i still get 15 kill wins easily. If you’re comfortable with your setup/settings, don’t change them, just get better with them.
