What is your duo process? Lay down one track and play or something else?

I wrote both parts out and recorded them with a met. It showed me that my time needs some work for sure! I am trying to take inspiration from Steve Reich and pieces like "Fractalia" by Owen Clayton, manualy creating a delay effect.
