Hi. I’ve developed bilateral TN after mvd that failed completely before leaving the hospital. What causes bilateral when the sides aren’t related. Thanks.

Thank you Dr Zimmerman, such a great lecture. Can we still ask questions? I have just had an MVD 19 days ago and unfortunately my pain hasn’t gone.

I have geniculate neuralgia and MVD did nothing
to alleviate my pain. What's on the horizon for
    geniculate neuralgia?

mvd dont help even in tn for many at first and even other get recurrence later on in first 5 years and some lucky ones with good compression by artery and classic tn pain get good outcome for 10 years or more

I would love to more about Teflon granuloma's. I developed one 16 months post MVD. Are there medicinal treatments? I'm not interested in Rhizotomy or Gamma Knife, since I had a Neurolysis during my MVD and it has left my face a bit numb. Looking for options. Thank you for providing this informative series. It's tough to decide which is the best route - especially if it means a 2nd MVD.

I was diagnosed with TN almost 7 yrs ago. My main complaint has always been stabbing in my ear, that only recently lead to a second diagnosis of geniculate Neuralgia or nervous intermedius. If I were to have a MVD could both affected nerves be done in the same surgery? I'm pretty close to the end of medication treatment, we've tried so much. The last 3 tx's attempted failed dramatically therefore I'm also losing hope. I'm now being guided toward nerve blocks, but my gut feeling is to not do so. I have both TN 1 & 2, bilaterally with IN and feel hopeless.

I have facilpain last 10 years , but i heard this facilpain name last year only ,
From my knowledge it's just a breathing compliant, miss calibration of mind about breathing.
A chest can enlarge and discharge for breathing but above chest is not possible, it like pain ,
Solution is yoga , know about kundalini, press the breath to chest by sensing kundalini, last stage gym exercise , correct sensing give solution on our own
      I passed 60%
Surgery is like cutting or resizing for air , but depending upon situation, consult your doc
