@@HellcatDreaminJosh the Performante had worse tyres. Normal tyres against semi-slicks. Go slicks on Performante and the Evo with Toyo's and the thing will be the same only with the favor on Performante. Tyres matter more than people actually think.
Performante is slightly faster. But a race with the same tires and the same amount of fuel would be great 👍🏻. ( Perf had 50% fuel, EVO was almost empty: 9:03 , 9:31 )
I feel like this shows the perfomante is actually slightly faster. On the same tires, with the same driver, the launch should be exactly the same. But the performante consistently trapped higher speed even with a worse launch
Pretty sure weight does not play a role here. Maybe the ALA system on the Performante does reduce drag more effectively than I thought, or maybe the Performante has a slightly less restrictive exhaust system than the EVO?

Seems like they are similar in everything other than the launch. I don't got much drag experience here in real life but I'm a forza drag fanatic lol so don't take this too seriously but many cars in the game hit the same trap speeds regardless of drag tires vs street tires or even rwd awd. Same car but with a shitty launch traps within 5 mph of the good launch versions.... once again in a video game 🤣

@LeMao ZeBron Can I suggest we have a respectful discussion. I don’t think equaling fuel tank will do much if the two drivers have different body weights. A centric downforce in the tail of a car is much more of an advantage and even than relying solely on tyre grip. Tyres do help to a certain degree I don’t disagree.
I thought that too given in a long term Porsche gt, Superleggera, perf owner I always pick the track variants however let me tell you this/my new evo rwd is way way more pure than the perf believe it or not... (not the AWD with all the dynamic shit) The rwd with fixed stiffer coilovers and fixed ratio non dynamic steering plus the rwd is just beautiful to drive... stiff, one way all the time I hated the adaptive shocks and dynamic steering it’s always guessing, loosening up, tightening up at times when you don’t even want it to Perf is special car but if you’re a driver driver I think anyone would find a rwd a way better drivers car!

In US spec Evo is about 3500 lbs vs the Performante 3300 lbs with the same powertrain. The Evo being heavier surprisingly held its own, it seems like it came down the launch. The r888r's dont need as much heat to provide optimum performance!

Yeah the aero slows it down a bit you can see because it’s lighter it’s just under 1mph faster in the 1/8th but then it’s that same amount slower in the 1/4 in trap speed, aero definitely affects it up top a bit

Aero Factor I predicted before the races that aero would not prove to be a factor, as proven by the nearly identical trap speeds. At higher speeds...perhaps, but too much time is spent at relatively lower speeds during a quarter mile run for the aero differential to be significant.

The second race shows that if all things were equal, then the Performante is still the faster car. That's the great thing about Lamborghini's ALA system. It doesn't slow the car down and produce downforce unless it needs to. It's the reason why the Performante's top speed is the same as the Evo's.

Performante Guy Screwed The Engine or Gearbox or Clutch or Something which is not launching the Car Properly. Needs a Rematch with a well oiled Performante. It's felt like SV LP750 beating SVJ LP770
Cause that is an incredibly dangerous way to slow down. You don’t want the wheels free rolling. Besides, rev matching (like these DTC boxes are very capable of consistently doing) put almost 0 wear on the clutch. Also, you will slow down quicker with the engine braking effect. Shifting (up or down) should not wear your clutch out if you do it properly - thankfully modern auto boxes don’t exactly have any problems doing so considering they can make almost perfect decisions in a fraction of a second.

Lamborghini's needs to improve the launch tech in their new generation flagship cars. Lots to improve in that area. Porsche and BMW are waaay ahead in that aspect of engineering. The new M series bimers and 911's have one of the best launch control features today. The Lambos always bog down/lag for a split second after launch, allowing the other car to pull ahead. It's frustrating to watch 🤔
Hi I have no experience on a drag strip (living in The Netherlands). Is there an advantage in acceleration times on a drag strip (how much on average compared to normal road?). Nice video especially also with the Dragy results
Drags strips, when prepped properly, are extremely sticky and help cars launch without losing traction. Day and night difference when a car can put down the power that it actually makes.
The performante is faster because it had a quicker 60-130 time of 7.49s compared to 7.52 on the evo....... the performante also looks a lot better in my opinion so performante wins
