I wish only to buy from Patagonia, but in Brazil, which's actually a country next to the real Patagonia, the clothes are so expensive that a rain jacket or trousers, sometimes cost more than the minimum wage. I completely understand Patagonia to be more expensive because of its higher cost of production, but the prices here are prohibitive for most people.
I just got a patagonia wetsuit, it has a lot of problems and isn't very well designed compared to other wetsuits I've owned. I think you pay more for their environmental friendly materials and brand. It's not high quality technical gear, you may find a more affordable alternative that is much nicer.

please tell me you put double or triple layers on the bum area. Sliding over trees and down rocks is what put holes in my last pair.
They are a 4 layer construction but we do recommend being careful if sliding or climbing.
