Amy, treasure hunting is so much fun! I used to be a big collector of things until God changed me after I started reading in His Word every day! They suddenly became hunks of nothing to me. Wow, only God can do that! It was because they were separating me from Him. He even took my desire to watch TV away! He wants an all the time relationship with us! Our sweet Savior! Amazing haul! Must plan a road trip to WV. Thank you for sharing the store's name. Your enthusiasm for treasure hunting is contagious. Tempered with scripture to remind us of the true treasures in life. 😌
I have a whole set of cast iron pots and pans that I got as a wedding gift, plus some that were passed down to me. I love cooking in them because it just makes the food taste better and reminds me of my childhood when my mom would make refried beans or cornbread in her small pan. My sister got my mom's old small iron griddle (comal, in spanish), that my mom made tortillas on. She gave it to her along with a molcajete (stone mixing bowl with the stone grinder) because she can't cook anymore. We use our large dutch oven to make Dump Cake or large pan with the lids to make fresh biscuits on our camping trips. All you do is wash them out with hot water. Rinse and dry completely with a rag (never let air dry because they will rust). Wipe down with oil, let it heat up on stove then cool down. This is to season it and also to protect from rusting. I just store mine in my stove when not in use.
I would love to use the cast iron skillet!! Unfortunately I have a genetic condition that makes me absorb too much iron. So no cooking on cast iron for me!! Thanks for sharing! Lots of great items with special memories behind them!!! 🥰

I have a hand beater that was my Grandmother’s almost like the one you bought for decor and I DO still use it to beat my eggs and French toast batter… it’s ‘vintage’ but the Old Girl is still working!

Cast iron can always be seasoned and used! You can clean the rust off with salt and olive oil, grape seed oil or avocado oil.

Great finds Amy and under budget!!!❤❤❤my mom had the plate stand but used it to display cookbooks in the 80s . It's possible it from the early 80s or 70s. Also my mom had the corn bread black skillet. I love everything that you picked out!😊 I also loved the Bible verse as always!❤❤❤

My grandma had the egg beater & the handle was red. We also had the corn bread pan. As kids, we thought it was so cool to have corn shaped cornbread. Love your videos. Great haul!

I had one of the cornbread cast iron for cornbread. Note the shape of the 🌽 design. I used it often in my mo.s kitchen.
I also have two copper bowls. I have one of the beeters, I have a coffee grinder, I have several items you have I love copper and I have loads of unique baskets. I put them on a wooden doul in a square around the light and loop them ie baskets on the dowl it is different. I like to collect orange and lemon squeezers I have some old ones. I have a set of copper jello molds. .
