I will say that hospital housekeeping is hardcore. I'm a former housekeeper myself and I did linen and rooms throughout the week for a rehab hospital. Awesome video and kudos to you for keeping a sane mindset while you do it. It's not for everyone but you do feel somewhat proud that you are helping the patients in a big way.
Can you give me any advice about the interviewing process questions? Suggestions? How to answer I have an upcoming interview and I’m so nervous thank you.
I'm about to start my evs housekeeping aide in a hospital in less than a month and i'm nervous! lol, any realistic words of wisdom and tips? im an overthinking and i have anxiety but i was blessed with this job opportunity and i dont want to screw up or ever feel like i can't handle the job.
@@MrRedroom93 i think if you like repetetive work that gets you into a rhythym then there's no need to worry. Hospitals shouldn't rush you like hotel since precision is more important than turnover.
May I ask what are you future goals with the hospital . I’m an ekg specialist but I May have to take a housekeeping job so I can get a foot in the door . I know that’s is difficult getting into a hospital because internal employees get fist dibs .
is the housekeeper-enviromental services technician the same as you do? I have experience in cleaning houses but it ask resume to apply the housekeeper. I don't have any other skills or experience to add in the resume. is it okay to just mention the I had experience working on houses but not in a company? how did you apply for it?
I'm nervous....I statt my first house keeping job in 9hours and I've had various jobs but this is gonna be a first and in a nursing home. Going from customer service to this.
@@ceciliamorales5302 yeah, been working at this current job since March 10th. Everyday I'm beat up but it pays well. Honestly my most favorite job I had so far.
@@MsLong94 yeah, it really is for me at least. I'm the only male on the housekeeping crew other than my supervisor but the job at my place of work is really laid back as long as you get the job done. And the rest of the women have been there for a while. It's tough in the moment for sure, especially now during summer, but it feels good knowing you helped a disabled elder out. That makes it rewarding for me. I can't speak on other places with this job title but in my opinion, if you can get through the smell and view of feces and urine, and whatever other accidents residents have, then you can Def do it.
Is it an interesting job??? How many rooms we have to clean on an average in a day if we join and also for how many times??? Does we have to clean bathrooms also??? And if we have to clean bathrooms then for how many times we have to clean it??? Does we have to clean other parts of the hospital also such as kitchen and other parts of hospital and also for how many times we have to clean it??? Does we have to clean potty and vomit of patient??? If so how we have to clean it?? If in the bathroom pan remains a piece of potty and it is not going through splashing thn how we should clean it??? What education it requires to join as a cleaner in hospital??? What salary we will get per month??
The answer is yes discharge and EVS housekeeping is the same. Every job can be stressful it’s how you handle it ,so far it’s good. I ran into a couple of nurses that requested rooms right away. My coworker said next time I work discharges to close the door and clean up so nobody can bother me. Lol Less stress hehe …Oh yeah I work with awesome management and team leads.
