Not really a good point. There are always multiple shades of nude. For example if you're looking at makeup (and it's the same product and brand), you'll notice the multiple nude shades such as ivory beige, naked peach and cola pop. Nowadays all nude shades (in terms of makeup anyway) cater to all skin tones, it's just dependable on which shade you get. I'm more focused on the fact that BuzzFeed tried to say that darker nude shades are non-existent and that nude is only one colour, when it really isn't and they were so careless that they couldn't get a nude shade suitable to all of the women, which that makeup brand carries.
I feel like instead of giving every girl the same lip colour they should have given appropriate colours within the same family to each girl given the different skin tones - it probably would have really changed the results and how they saw themselves with it on.
Dear BuzzFeed people, When you're buying the NYX lingerie lipstick, there are shades in the same brand that are darker and won't make her look like a coke addict
I 100% agree. That's exactly what I meant. That woman is gorgeous but they made her wear a shade that's way too unflattering on her. Melanin queens can pull off practicaly anything but light and ashy lipsticks.
they all wore the same lipstick shades... it wasnt about picking what looks good for each girl it was an experiment with random common shades. im black and i feel like you guys are getting over sensitive about this video damn...
They said it was 'nude' lipstick, meaning NUDE lipstick. There are multiple shades of nude and they easily could have matched a nude lip colour to each girls' skin tone. So, in a way, different shades of nude would still have been the same lipstick colour, because it still classifies as nude.
Emily Hendra, nude is a large variety of skintone-like colors yes, BUT one specific color "corset" was chosen for everyone to be more of the extreme light end of the experiment and they ALL had to wear the same color or else there is no control for the experiment... if they picked and chose the best colors for each girl then theres no 'risk' in trying out the colors that likely look awful on you. They were Supposed to hate some. and to maybe like some. trial and error, getting an idea of what they like to maybe try out more on their own.
and just because it was considered a 'nude' lipstick doesnt mean anything, it was still just THAT color they were trying. saying they should use Any nude shade for each girl would then mean they could have used Any brown, Any red, Any purple.... defeating the purpose of making they try things out of their comfort zone/fitting colors
Why would they give the same lipstick to all three girls, knowing that they have different skin tones? Nude shades aren't universal, and that's going to give a bad experience and low confidence. Jesus.
I had to stop watching the video because that pissed me off so much! I look HIDEOUS in an orange based red lipstick, but give me a blue based red and it looks fantastic.
Tasty Beansprout She did, and I was very happy for her! I just don't understand why they'd give her such an awful nude shade. She deserved better. I thought these videos were to help them build confidence, but that shade was not poppin. :(
Kitarina Brown I thought the point was that these girls weren't confident in lipstick and didn't like it, and they were going to do it to build confidence and give it a chance. Not about the shades at all. That's why I think it was incredibly unfair.
maybe their point of choosing colors that didn't match each of their nude colors is to show women that they don't need to be self conscious or be afraid to try new things
Love wearing crazy colors. Only color I won't do is hot pink. aside from that blue, greens, bright reds, black, dark lips. Love bold colors! Sorry I know this is an old comment.
Right? They got a diverse group of women, they shouldn't have had to wear the exact same colors. Just a nude day, brown day, red day, purple day, and black day.
+ArabOnARocketCamel Yes, they know that. They weren't calling it a skin tone. There's nudes that are made to suit darker skin, nude isn't just one shade.
Twenty Øne crybabies at the discø thats not racist at all! Seeing this coment as racist just means your trying to see it in a negative way instead of its original purpose.
NEVER wear a nude lip lighter than your natural lip color, it makes you look like a escapee from the frosted lip era. The colors they found didn't work for all the girls' skin tones, and as a lipstick devotee, unflattering lipstick makes me actually sad.
This is so stupid. Makeup is supposed to compliment someones skin tone and features. Of course they won't like wearing lipstick if you give them something that won't work for their skin tone.
why didn't they give them lipsticks that matched their skin tones?? yeah, they aren't going to enjoy wearing lipstick if their lips look ashy or just blend in with their skin. it will make them feel more self conscious about the fact they are wearing lipstick.
+RowanTreez I'm a girl too, a tomboy too, and I hate makeup,I didn't think you were joking I just thought you were male because it looked like you had short hair.
They should not have made the woman to wear that "nude" which was NOT her nude color. Be a bit more accommodating Buzzfeed. She woulda looked gorgeous with exotic from that nyx lingerie collection.
+ArabOnARocketCamel dude. That color looked like dead people skin tone on her. It's not being PC. It's knowing when something doesn't look good. It's not her "nude" color.
Coming from a guy who isn't pretentious lip gloss feels slimy and I would rather the lipstick in any shade because I love people who love makeup and just love playing around with it
Can we get married? Lol My husband won't even honestly kiss me when I have lipstick on, it's the tiniest, weakest little peck followed by 10 minutes of wiping his lips to make sure he got any (if any) off.
Krystle I doubt that...why would you sign up for something you don't like just to get money off your paycheck 😕 either way: it's lipstick and I'm a lover 😻
poor girl lol they should have allowed her to have a nude lipstick for darker skin. They tend to do this a lot with black women on buzzfeed, getting their makeup right and all.. It bothers me a little bit
I think they should've found a nude lipstick to match each skin tone. The one they chose looked awful on all of them. It made the pale girl and the Asian girl look dead, and then it looked ashy on the black girl. I don't understand the appeal of wearing lipstick that makes you look dead. Nude doesn't have to look like you've got corpse lips. "My lips but better" is what I've always taken from the idea of nude lipstick.
unless you're goth in which case we dig grey toned nudes. Looking deathlike is kind of the point :P Cryptic cosmetics is a good illustration of this point
but yes I agree with nudes it's not a case of one shade fits all. It's like foundation in a way. They should have picked different nudes to match their skin tones. I mean my area of expertise in liquid to matte lipsticks would probably be Jeffree Star as that's what I'm more comfortable with and the chocolate shade Dominatrix would have probably been more suited to the black girl
She really needed the liner to tie it all in. You could even make the Tyrone Biggums nude look work with a decent liner, maybe contour it a bit. As a black person, the liner is key.
She's beautiful! a slightly smaller nose ring on lip stick day would be good though, I have my septum done too and some times it will track lipstick up above the lip line. her lips a so beautiful and full, I could see it as a long term deterrent for daily lipstick.
Katerina then she shouldn't have participated. I cant even believe she walked around like that (but from what I hear, buzzfeed employees don't have a lot of freedom)
So is anybody else kind of mad that Kuw wasn't given an appropriate nude for her skin tone? NYX has darker nudes that would have actually look nude on her. She still killed it but I think she'd be happier with the appearance if she got a different one.
why was she forced to look like a fool walking around with a "nude" lipstick that looked like her lips were ashy? there was no doubt she would look terrible with that color on, and wasn't even allowed to use a lip liner(not that that could've helped). why didn't they cater the nude to her own skin tone? how disrespectful. I will say though, she rocked the black lipstick.
I know I'm hella pissed I would've been like nah I'm good you can use three light-complexioned women since you chose shades literally designed for them!!
I feel bad for Annie because I would totally be like her if I had to wear something I'm new to in public. Her co-worker said she looked dead, and girls stayed away from her. Geez.. The others girls had some days of confidence, but Annie was self-conscious the whole time..
Dianna Bishop she took part knowing what she was getting into :) the other 2 girls looked awful with the dark colours and theres no complaints on that.
Seriously though! She's incredibly charismatic, and I couldn't wait until her "scene" popped up again. I feel like her and I would be friends irl. Haha!
It was kind of mean to give that specific nude shade to the Asian girl and the black girl. What would have been nice is if you didn't treat them all like one person and instead got a make up artist in to give them all a few different shades that would match their skin tone, style and hair colour..
+Sup? People want to see how girls who wear a full face majority of the time not lipstick, mascara, liner (or similar combinations, simple makeup) everyday. Like a drastic change for people.
Why didn't they give the black girl shades suitable to her skin tone? Of course she isn't going to like it if she's wearing Porcelain instead of Cocoa.
They really set Kuwilileni up for failure with that nude. Not everyones skintone is the same so why would their nude lipstick be? there are definitely nude lipsticks in that exact same collection that would have suit her
i wish they were able to choose their own shades and just be given guidelines that they had to fit in to. like a "nude" day, metallic or brown day, red day, purple day, and unconventional day (grey, black, blue, green). that would've been more enjoyable for the ones wearing it
They have teams to plans these videos. They could have found colors that would match her skin tone, yet they chose not to. That is disrespect and borderline racism.
chase the meme it didn't look right on her tho , they could've gave her a different color nude except for having her walking around looking ridiculous (not trying to sound rude btw)
+ArabOnARocketCamel it's not racist lol. it's being fair. different skin tones have different types of nudes that look good on them. the nude they gave her was way too light.
I don't know someone has already said this, this vid is really old, but you should ALWAYS make sure to set your lipstick with translucent powder. Split a tissue, so it's really thin, cover your mouth with it, and tap powder all over the super thin tissue. It makes a HUGE difference
***** Actually, when referring to your *self,* you are usually referring to your person, or body, or you in general. Being self-conscious is when you are nervous that others will judge you for being *yourself,* Yes, "self" is a thing that does exist. Not caring for yourself is *selfless,* and caring too much about yourself is *selfish.*
Okay, how about you put on a different accent for a week. People are allowed to feel self conscious, just as people are allowed to feel guilty, overwhelmed, and nervous.
I feel like Jess was actually promoting sexism by saying she didn't want to wear lipstick as she wanted to be "taken seriously". I very much disliked that comment, and her decision to continue not wearing it to work for similar reasons. She is essentially saying that looking feminine and womanly means you won't be taken seriously which is a crappy belief to be perpetuating
Well as one of them mentioned, their lip line was kind of hidden but it started showing 4 days applying it. So they had a little trouble but I can see what you're saying.
you know what... instead of corpse lips nude lipstick, just give each woman something like... Frog Prince from Lipstick Queen. That will turn your own shade of pink.
Yeah, people might not take you seriously in a baby pink lipstick or a bright red, but nude tones and browns mean business. When I see a woman in a brown lipstick, I know that she's the boss and I probably shouldn't mess with her.
I don't think it is fair that they had them all wear the same shade because that "nude" was definitely NOT for Kuwilileni AT ALL! They should have had them go to MAC and/or Sephora and pick out a few pinks, reds and even a better suited "nude" that would compliment them
The African American girl made a really good point about nude lip colors. One nude shade may not work for every skin tone. She's right.
+Barbie Girl she literally mentioned "like one nude tone isn't going to work for another's skin tone." How is that not talking about just nudes?
Not really a good point.
There are always multiple shades of nude. For example if you're looking at makeup (and it's the same product and brand), you'll notice the multiple nude shades such as ivory beige, naked peach and cola pop.
Nowadays all nude shades (in terms of makeup anyway) cater to all skin tones, it's just dependable on which shade you get.

SquirrelCake13 you are everywear! !!!!!!!!!^is that how you spell it 😂😂😂😂😂😉😉😂😂😂😉😉😉😉😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nick B. Right but all she needed was a lip liner, preferably chestnut by Mac
Nick B. She might not be African but i like how you didn't say the color of her Skin Cause that sometimes offend people
I feel like instead of giving every girl the same lip colour they should have given appropriate colours within the same family to each girl given the different skin tones - it probably would have really changed the results and how they saw themselves with it on.
So true👌🏽👌🏽
Molly Burke I love you so much♡
Molly Burke • MOLLYYYY!!
Ikr
Molly Burke MOLLY I didn’t know you watched them
The darker skin toned woman looked stunning with the black lipstick
Dear BuzzFeed people,
When you're buying the NYX lingerie lipstick, there are shades in the same brand that are darker and won't make her look like a coke addict
the asian girl looked amazing with every shade of lipstick omg
Simone Mösle seriously, I was so jealous
Simone Mösle true! In my opinion, she looked best in the red lipstick
Ikr
Rude
Simone Mösle racist
I bet Kuwilileni would look awesome in a deep violet or berry color. She could definitely rock it
or even like a plum color!!!
Berry for sure
I wish they would've done a pink or berry!
they shold have given her a different nude shade bc like??? obvious reasons, her nude isnt white???
Kuwilileni slayed that black lipstick, it makes me so happy that she was happy with it!
Shelbo b
They should have kept all their skin tones in mind
true
The short hair girl rocked all the lipsticks though 😍😍
Ikr!!!
totally!
She's so insecure, it's sad. She looked great.
ikr, day one she looked like heavenly tbh but all throughout it are was gorgeous
YAas
The darker lipstick looked better on the darker girl, and the lighter lipstick looked better on the lighter girl. The Asian just rocked everything
did ya miss me?
The berry/purple color looks most attractive on darker skin tones. Nude lip stick doesn't look good on anyone.
+astrea79 no way..Nude lipsticks are my favourite

HEY RYAN
literally ryan i love your videos so much
iLY RYAN
+Lapis lazuli and then replying to yourself with fake accounts you made yourself.
hey ryan!
Why would you give a black woman a shade's that's unflattering and too light for her...
They wanted the same type of Lipstick to set a constant, they weren't meant to like all the lipsticks
Noura Alaboudi that's kind of rude
Noura Alaboudi I think they wanted them to experience all the same brands and the company that made the nude may have only made that nude color
I 100% agree. That's exactly what I meant. That woman is gorgeous but they made her wear a shade that's way too unflattering on her. Melanin queens can pull off practicaly anything but light and ashy lipsticks.
actually, i think peach would have been a great color for her
But.. how did the date go?
ikr
PEOPLE NEED TO KNOWWW!!!
I need to know!
Asking the real questions here
omg I love ur profile picture
I love the black girl's voice.
her name is kewilileni
+Kelly B how do you pronounce her name?
She sounds like Azealia Banks tbh, it's amazing
same
same!
What? The dark skinned girls lipstick was way too light for her. I think they should at least find a lipstick that match her skintone (;
Yeah, I thought so too.
There were darker ones...
Exactly. The NYX Lip Lingeries (the exact same line) have much darker colors suited for her skin tone. Did they even try? XD
+Reegan Kay she meant a darker nude that matches her skin tone
Yeah there are nudes by NYX in that same line for darker skin tones

You can't tell me that they couldn't have gotten a nude shade that matched the black woman better. 🙄
they all wore the same lipstick shades... it wasnt about picking what looks good for each girl it was an experiment with random common shades. im black and i feel like you guys are getting over sensitive about this video damn...
not being over sensitive, just stating the obvious
They said it was 'nude' lipstick, meaning NUDE lipstick.

L Marshall Exactly. We all have different shades, and they should've chosen shades that would fit her skin tone. >:( i'm not impressed!
Buzzfeed is more about quantity over quality lol
Kitarina Brown I thought the point was that these girls weren't confident in lipstick and didn't like it, and they were going to do it to build confidence and give it a chance. Not about the shades at all. That's why I think it was incredibly unfair.
Why didn't they pick lipcolours suitable for each person. Or like if you want to do a nude, buy something that is actually someones nude colour..,
maybe their point of choosing colors that didn't match each of their nude colors is to show women that they don't need to be self conscious or be afraid to try new things
I know. I think they should've been able to pick their own colors. Lipsticks should express you and make you feel comfortable in what you like
C
Emmalee Braam they r lazy people 😒 as long as the actors r not participating in the creation buzzfeed tends to get indifferent

I have so much respect when I see someone with a bold lip like DAMN yes you rock that bold lip. I should probably take the risk ha!

She is so beautiful and I'm so happy she had such a positive reaction
Same 😌
lol same
YAS
I didn't think about it until I read you comment but you are right
"Nude" lipstick is supposed to match your skin tone... Darker, even. Not lighter.
its so annoying that they didn't give kuwililani different lipsticks to compliment her skin
+Kat K. i agree!!
Right? They got a diverse group of women, they shouldn't have had to wear the exact same colors. Just a nude day, brown day, red day, purple day, and black day.
Hahaha your stupid. Nude is a colour not a description of skin tone.
+ArabOnARocketCamel Yes, they know that. They weren't calling it a skin tone. There's nudes that are made to suit darker skin, nude isn't just one shade.
The darker lipstick suited the girl with darker skin, the lighter lipsticks suited the lighter skinned girl while the Asian girl Rocked everything❤️
She surely did, it's unfortunate that she doesn't feel confident in it. I'd wife her asap.
thats racust
Harley Quin if you want to hate spell things correct

NEVER wear a nude lip lighter than your natural lip color, it makes you look like a escapee from the frosted lip era. The colors they found didn't work for all the girls' skin tones, and as a lipstick devotee, unflattering lipstick makes me actually sad.
Same here
EXACTLY
All these years.. And Buzzfeed still doesn't know how many days a week has..
Els E HAHA so true
Elsss 5 days is their work week 😀
They meant a work week which is 5 days for most company's

For Kuw they didn't really choose good shades for her to use
But the red, purple n black were good
+Ramallah E. rite
All she needed was a brown lip liner and they all would have worked for her
This is so stupid. Makeup is supposed to compliment someones skin tone and features. Of course they won't like wearing lipstick if you give them something that won't work for their skin tone.
They all need to try the same shade because they need to see the different reactions when on different skintones
bade d nope! makeup is like paint in your face

why didn't they give them lipsticks that matched their skin tones?? yeah, they aren't going to enjoy wearing lipstick if their lips look ashy or just blend in with their skin. it will make them feel more self conscious about the fact they are wearing lipstick.
It’s not matched* that would imply that it was the same color as there skin

They should not have made the woman to wear that "nude" which was NOT her nude color. Be a bit more accommodating Buzzfeed. She woulda looked gorgeous with exotic from that nyx lingerie collection.
The fact your complaining that buzzfeed isn't PC enough is pretty funny. Also nudes a colour look it up.
+ArabOnARocketCamel dude. That color looked like dead people skin tone on her. It's not being PC. It's knowing when something doesn't look good. It's not her "nude" color.
+ArabOnARocketCamel They actually recently changed the definition of "nude". So, lol.
blueriverg Thats like saying there is red for just black people.
If they had to make them wear nude lips, at least buy nudes their skin tone.
The girl who didn't wear the black lipstick on her date looked incredible with it!
Tru
It's hard for a pale girl to wear black and not look goth, and she pulled it off. Jealous. :(

That nude lipstick on the black girl though... 😁
Yikes
Ikr she has such beautiful lips they just needed a lipstick that better suited her skin tone
poor girl lol they should have allowed her to have a nude lipstick for darker skin. They tend to do this a lot with black women on buzzfeed, getting their makeup right and all.. It bothers me a little bit
+Alyssa Smith agreed
Ikr. Maybe a darker liner to ombré it would have saved it, MAYBE.
the dark skin girl looked so amazing with the red lipstick omfg
AND THE BLACK OMFG
yess
you mean the black girl?
LEGOAT JAMES nope meant the dark skin girl :)
+Kuma so you mean the Asian girl?
I think they should've found a nude lipstick to match each skin tone. The one they chose looked awful on all of them. It made the pale girl and the Asian girl look dead, and then it looked ashy on the black girl. I don't understand the appeal of wearing lipstick that makes you look dead. Nude doesn't have to look like you've got corpse lips. "My lips but better" is what I've always taken from the idea of nude lipstick.

fatalrob0t I liked it on the Asian girl xD
fatalrob0t now that I think about it she does look dead
The Asian girl looked good with all of the shades, I wanted to reach into the screen
and give the black girl a plum/brown lip liner
I know right? I wished they gave the black girl a nude color that fits her.

yep
+Charlene Okonkwo yes she looked like she was eating powdered donuts
She really needed the liner to tie it all in. You could even make the

She's beautiful! a slightly smaller nose ring on lip stick day would be good though, I have my septum done too and some times it will track lipstick up above the lip line. her lips a so beautiful and full, I could see it as a long term deterrent for daily lipstick.
They should've tailored the nudes to their skin tones. That was rude of you, Buzzfeed!
exactly. why was she forced to wear a "nude" that wasn't even for her skin tone?
+MarQueisa James maybe they didn't have the time
Katerina then she shouldn't have participated.

I think Kuwilileni would look awesome in a really opaque light blue lipstick.
Did y'all *really make the black woman wear that color? Seriously?
ikr
I know right! But the last 3 looked amazing on her.
I actually think it fits her look and personality
I know I'm hella pissed I would've been like nah I'm good you can use three light-complexioned women since you chose shades literally designed for them!!

I feel like she was exaggerating when she said people were "afraid" of her and that they stayed far away from her. Thats a bit dramatic..
She was really annoying about the whole ordeal
#1 Buddy GFRIEND🎀
That nude is not for the black girl,at least u should hv given her brown lip liner so it wouldn't look so ashy
Seriously, the only black girl in the video doesn't even get a nude lipstick in her shade? Buzzfeed cmon!
Nude only comes in a fair skin tone. That's it.
+Cashelda No it doesn't. Mac verve is a perfect nude for dark skin and there are so many others.
Kylie made a great one for both skin tones. It's beautiful.
theyre wearing the same shades regardless of colour shhhh.
Dianna Bishop she took part knowing what she was getting into :) the other 2 girls looked awful with the dark colours and theres no complaints on that.
the nude lipstick reminds me of that one Snapchat filter that makes my lips look ashy😂
the one with the butterflies 😂
+Tania Johnson you know it 😂
+WaitingForAnExcuse... lol the reason is because it's meant to whiten your teeth when you smile!
+Kelsey Ford lol, really?😂
+WaitingForAnExcuse... lol yeah, if you smile with your mouth open its supposed to whiten teeth Hahaha 😂😂
More videos with Kuwilileni!!
Yaaas I loved her.
Seriously though! She's incredibly charismatic, and I couldn't wait until her "scene" popped up again. I feel like her and I would be friends irl. Haha!
She's amazing!!
Kuwilileni looked best in all the lipsticks (except the nude one)
Gracechilla😆 I think the Asian one looks best
I'm sorry I don't know her name but the dark skin girl omg her with the black I loved so much
Ikr!!
Ikr!!
Ikr!!
yeah
i need her Instagram so i can stalk her lmao
It seemed to fit her personal style the best too.
It was kind of mean to give that specific nude shade to the Asian girl and the black girl. What would have been nice is if you didn't treat them all like one person and instead got a make up artist in to give them all a few different shades that would match their skin tone, style and hair colour..
Yet everyone wants to be treated like one person
+Jaksen Miller no they don't.
triggered?
+Jaksen Miller not necessarily 😕
I actually liked the nude on the Asian girl
Buzzfeed does realize a week is 7 days, not 5.
Business week
+kaship98 lol
a work week
That was seven weeks ago get a life
*****
That poor girl who had to wear the kylie lip... she looked so ashy
there should be one video 'makeup lovers don't wear makeup for a week'
Yea but then they'll feature girls who wear mascara and liner and be like ok these are the girls 🙄
+Sup? People want to see how girls who wear a full face majority of the time not lipstick, mascara, liner (or similar combinations, simple makeup) everyday. Like a drastic change for people.
YES BUZZFEED PLEASE DO THIS
they already did
YES
I don't wear lipstick because I'm always paranoid that it is smeared all over my face
Try mate lipstick :) my favs
+PhanEdiits matte can be overwhelmingly dry sometimes though
Same!
I wore lipstick to a wedding, when we had dinner I patted the napkin on my lips then on the outline of my lips, I looked like the joker had a twin
How could that ever happen and how bad is the formula for it get all over your face???
this video has me nervous because black is the only color lipstick i wear :/ also the girl with the septum ring us so pretty im shook
RYAN? DAN? ARE YOU HAVING A PERSONALITY CRISIS???
+animaljammer897 this is the best comment ever 😂
Not really.
PHAM
+twenty øne smøl beans OMG PHANDOM
I love lipsticks' colors. Hate how dry it feels.
Esther Mei same

The black girl is absolutly beautiful
I agree. She's soo prettty.
Her nose ring is so different and unique, I love her style
She has a name
+Stephanie Lymon they probably don't remember her name, alright, chill
+Stephanie Lymon I'm saying his because you commented this on a lot of other people's comments
but did the date go well tho????
I thought I was the only one curious about that 😂
I was wondering the same thing.😂
+Olivia Hemmings me 2
exactly! it's like teasing us!
+7LeopardStar ikr
Next video: people who are allergic to peanuts guess different brands of peanut butter
lmao what
i'm allergic to peanuts i volunteer
I love Kuwilileni's voice idk why
Why didn't they give the black girl shades suitable to her skin tone? Of course she isn't going to like it if she's wearing Porcelain instead of Cocoa.
Because they gave them all the same colours you idiot.
Agreed, unless they couldn't find one but I doubt it. Nude lipsticks are pretty much everywhere, different shades too. :/
Tenebris Ebur Also nude is a colour, it just happens to match the white skin tone.
nude is supposed to fit your skin color, as if you were naked.. you cant give a black lady a white person's nude.
I don't think it was ANYONE'S skin except for maybe the Asian girl.
I love Kuwilileni, she was soo funny, and the black lipstick looked absolutely stunning on her! Super jealous
yes! she's so gorgeous.
liquid lipstick is life
Matte
I HATE LIPSTICK BUT I LOVE LIQUID LIPSTICK.
I hate it because the ones I own shed and crack. Also the application is more difficult. I have the Stila all day and a NYX. Can you recommend one?
+tamisame Revlon ultra HD lip color. Drug store but I think it's pretty damn good
Yaaaas 😍
Dude that purple day 4 lipstick is a power move
I love how self-confident the black chick was. I love it when girls look good and they know they look good and aren't afraid to totally own it.
They really set Kuwilileni up for failure with that nude. Not everyones skintone is the same so why would their nude lipstick be? there are definitely nude lipsticks in that exact same collection that would have suit her
i wish they were able to choose their own shades and just be given guidelines that they had to fit in to. like a "nude" day, metallic or brown day, red day, purple day, and unconventional day (grey, black, blue, green). that would've been more enjoyable for the ones wearing it
#QOTW "Typically on my lips I wear saliva or chapsticks."
this was so disrespectful to the black girl
not disrespectful, just not thought out very well
They have teams to plans these videos. They could have found colors that would match her skin tone, yet they chose not to. That is disrespect and borderline racism.
Not so much...she looked the best (out of all the women) in the black and purple colors. Every shade isn't suitable for everybody, and that's OK.
What?! I think she looked better than the other two!!! Her confidence really inspired me.
What?! I think she looked better than the other two!!! Her confidence really inspired me.
why didnt they give the black girl (I don't know her name) a different nude color , it looked off
she literally looked like she was drowning in coffee..
because all of them wore the same kind of lipstick
i agree but yea they all has to wear the same color nude
chase the meme it didn't look right on her tho , they could've gave her a different color nude except for having her walking around looking ridiculous (not trying to sound rude btw)
I agree, makeup isn't universal when it comes to skin tone. They should have given her a warmer nude-brown option to go with her lovely dark skin.
kuwilileni is so pretty, i wish they used a lip shade that matched her skin tone better :(
the black lipstick looked great though
Yus ikr at least she SLAYED the black omg xD
ThePipsqueaker The pipsquaker= Triggered.jpg.
Thanks for the tip!
Is that to help the lipstick not get everywhere (ie. stuck on your teeth)?
TammiBloo it helps it stay in place and set. and makes your lipstick look a little matte.
Black women look SOOO good with red lipstick
I don't wear lipstick because I know I'll just lick/rub it off
same
thats the reason why I only wear mat lipstick
+Mistyy Schrader *matte
That's why I like to wear lip stains. Mattes are good too, if you have a good one that doesn't make your lips feel like the desert.
+maddwitch
why only top?
I just prefer dark colors because super light pink is pretty much bees on fire. Yes, it stings, and it burns.
Same..but
Are you playing LoL?
Raven TheRavenous
Every now and then
People don't seem to understand why I hate lipstick because I LOVE lip gloss
Ashley Von Sherelet I am the same way, I just don't like the texture of lipstick and the feeling.
These girls are so self conscious it's just lipstick who cares
yeah, there's no such thing as a "self." They are worrying about something that doesn't even exist.
*****
Actually, when referring to your *self,* you are usually referring to your person, or body, or you in general.
Being self-conscious is when you are nervous that others will judge you for being *yourself,*
Yes, "self" is a thing that does exist.
Not caring for yourself is *selfless,* and caring too much about yourself is *selfish.*
Anghelina Calderon
The proper term is "witch."
Thank you. ^-^
+Cara Elias lol kk
Okay, how about you put on a different accent for a week. People are allowed to feel self conscious, just as people are allowed to feel guilty, overwhelmed, and nervous.
The Asian girl is sooooo beautiful
Lmao , more like "the Asian race is beautiful " because they all look the same
+Arch I'm super damn butthurt
+Arch get shut down. Damn no ones on your side. And Asians don't look the same at all. Caucasians do kind of. But they are more diverse
+Arch STFU
aww, triggered coin slot eyed people in the comments
why couldnt they get kuwilileni a nude lipstick that would actually be her skintone?
like thats a thing
I feel like Jess was actually promoting sexism by saying she didn't want to wear lipstick as she wanted to be "taken seriously". I very much disliked that comment, and her decision to continue not wearing it to work for similar reasons. She is essentially saying that looking feminine and womanly means you won't be taken seriously which is a crappy belief to be perpetuating
"Typically on my lips I wear saliva and/or chapstick" BAHAHAHA
Not to be rude but the only thing is they needed a little practice applying it right
Well as one of them mentioned, their lip line was kind of hidden but it started showing 4 days applying it. So they had a little trouble but I can see what you're saying.
The black girl (not being racist) (I'm black too) looked kinda bad when she put the nude color, but she looked gorgeous with the black lipstick ❤️❤️
+yabucca it's just in case someone does get offended. You know how people are these days.
the nude wasn't her nude.. you know what i mean? but i agree with you
What Idk saying someone's black isn't racist it's a fact it's only racist if you mock or takeaway privileges because of there skin tone
+What Idk You do know calling someone black isnt racist?
What Idk that's because they gave her one for.. 'lighter skinned' people. Oh
you know what... instead of corpse lips nude lipstick, just give each woman something like... Frog Prince from Lipstick Queen. That will turn your own shade of pink.
Man. I wish I hated lipstick. I would have money for so much other cool stuff. My lipstick love is too strong though.
same
^
+Audrey Benton same
I dont wear it but I sure do buy it
I feel you >< Lipstick is my weakness when it comes to make-up, i just have to BUY.IT.ALL
Yeah, people might not take you seriously in a baby pink lipstick or a bright red, but nude tones and browns mean business.
When I see a woman in a brown lipstick, I know that she's the boss and I probably shouldn't mess with her.
Also, at 1:48 - the egg pin. Where can I get myself one of those sweet fried egg pins? I love it.
+falsebuild
usually on etsy they sell pins, just write egg pin lol
Blood red looks pretty bold in my opinion. Like a deadly vampiress.
LOL of course it doesn't *define* a status... But definitely sends a message.
Wow. Just wow.
the nude looked awful on everyone 😨
the Asian looked alright
ur username gives me life 😂
loving the username !
PHAM
We really are everywhere 😂
I think they all looked the best without lip stick
But maybe I'm crazy
I don't think it is fair that they had them all wear the same shade because that "nude" was definitely NOT for Kuwilileni AT ALL! They should have had them go to MAC and/or Sephora and pick out a few pinks, reds and even a better suited "nude" that would compliment them
Worried about wearing lipstick outside, but not embarrassed by giant hideous nose ring.
omg yes just what I was thinking lol
some people like different things let her be
people like different things.
I think she slayed the "giant hideous" nose ring.
it's rad quit being such an uptight nerd
that nude looked so bad on everyone especially the black girl she must have been so self conscious wearing that for the whole day
I think it looked good on the Asian girl, her skin tone looked nice w it
+emily zee yes it wasn't too bad on her but I just don't like the colour really :')
I think the Asian girl looks good as!
rude asf smh keep that to yourself
TRIGGERED!! lmao
I just realised wen ever there is a creak I literally die but I like the buzzfeed sound ._. MIND BLOWN
