You have got no idea how hard it is to actually talk to people about DELTARUNE where I'm from. Here's a hint: impossible, for literally no one has played it, so I'm kinda pumped.
I liked that PLAYER took the stance they did. Have you read The Determinators' Tumblr? I use it as my main source on things, and it's very complete.

What chapter is this meant to take place in?
I think it most messed up thing you could do is play through the Weird Route version, proceed right up until the Vessel holds up their sword, and then pick “Do Not.” That is the single biggest “screw you” they could possibly give to Kris. You shrug off their impassioned yelling about how you’ve ruined their friends’ lives, beat them about an inch away from death, made them beg for their life complete with tears, and then just… silently and disinterestedly walk away. Like a cat that broke a mouse’s spine and decided it wasn’t hungry. It’s like saying “Yeah, I’m not possessing you anymore, but that doesn’t mean you’re in control at all, and it doesn’t make you matter any more than you did before. Honestly, you’re expendable now.”
I do wonder what Kris would do after that. Hell, what would the Vessel do? They’re basically a god with their RESET abilities, and with no Kris or Chara-like entity to inhibit them in any way (although maybe Gaster might hold some influence over them), they’re absolutely free to turn the world into their own consequence-free playpen. That is, depending on what happens to them in the Light World, since best-case scenario, they become some random gray teenager that literally appeared from nowhere. And has a voice that would sound familiar to anyone Kris has spoken to (particularly Noelle).
There's always a way to be more cruel...
I love seeing more creativity on the pacifist storylines though, much more uplifting and less messed up :)

This is such a unique fan game honestly. I do believe that in the near future we will encounter our creation since it makes no sense that after such a long process of creating the vessel it just gets discarded just for us to learn a painful lesson. It could be possible that one day we might get to use the vessel since it is a possibility that Kris might be able to resist our control one day

I think it would make more sense if we as the player spent any significant amount of time with it, but as it is, you spend MAYBE 15-ish minutes in the character creator (and that's only if you're playing day 1 or otherwise didn't know Gaster/whoever throws your OC in the trash). Hardly a "long process" imho
totally a theory I just came up with on the spot and it probably doesn’t have any validity to it, but what if the knight is our vessel?
I honestly think this will happen, since the game saves the vessel we make, but what I’m not sure about is why the game doesn’t make us make a vessel when we start a save from chapter 2, it just asks for ‘your own name’.
@@TheGrammarNazi123 ik lol it’s just the only point of evidence that the vessel will come into play later on (if you don’t count the thrash machine potentially being kind of a ‘practice project’ to get used to coding special attacks and dialouge for a customizable enemy, but that’s just my personal theory)
its neat seeing the ghostly companions moving and reacting to you. noelle's little glance down as she helps kris attack for example.
Hope in the game we either see our vessels and fight them, or play as our vessels.
I hope our vessel will at least be mentioned in some way or hinted at

Well, that was an interesting well written script nonetheless. It's pretty well done actually. The fandom is sometimes kind of surprising with the things it can do, but I like the good surprises over the awful stuff. Ah, how much long till Chapter 3, 4 and 5?

@@MAXIMUMPOWER42 That actually seems pretty interesting. I'll be honest, I'm certain we're gonna need all of those sweet armor and weaponry later in the game. Just think of it as a Chekhov's Gun.
@@MAXIMUMPOWER42 What you just said made me realise something, you know how CH7 is the last chapter, and there's 6 other chapters, much like how we can have 6 armour slots at one time (2 per party member)? Yeah well I think the final secret boss fight will involve each of our party members needing to have 2 of the 6 armors we'd get by SPAREing the 6 secret bosses.
Some fangames that have red attacks, as you stated either instakill or more damage, but there's a few that take away your max HP
"Side B" Is the ingame name for the snowgrave route.

Toby should make the vessel the final boss in chapter 7 and they posses all possible attacks from every enemy and depending on the stuff you chose in chapter 1 for the vessel makes it easier or harder. For example, if you chose pain as it’s favorite food, every time you get hit the vessel gains the amount of damage you took as health.
While I'm not quite sure if this is how they'll act, I really like the idea of Kris being pissed off at the player and attacking once they manifest outside of Kris's body, and having to convince them to stop by telling them you didn't have a choice.

Just by skimming into this I was reminded of a head canon I was a lot into before. That Arthur (the name of my vessel) showed up before Kris as a warrior in red outfit and two thin swords. And he basically despises Kris for being a "weak" hero, yet gaining recognition; and, secretly, because he lost his only loved one, his grandmother, on a disaster, which hardened his heart greatly. This was surely based in that "vs the Fun Gang" fangame
I made this story where three kids were playing a game and were so surprised when they realized that wasn't their vessel. Player two wrote a song to explain that his world was a video game.

I think this is a great idea , considering the teory that the roaring knight is the kris you wont control at the en of the chapters, in the final bátlle we would need the one who acts maybe the ves el would take the place of kris in a form at the end

In the proceed ending, the vessel should have ripped the players soul out and threw it into Kris.
Why? The Vessel is a far better vessel than Kris could ever be (at least for genociding).
I think, that side B does mean route B, like another round instead of the main one and that fits the weird route

Personally, I think they might be Frisk. While Frisk doesn’t perfectly fit the mold for a “blank slate” protagonist, they come pretty close, and with their lack of resistance in Undertale when it came to our actions, it would make sense if they were the original body intended to house the SOUL. Although this goes a bit into crack theory territory. I just think it’s interesting.

0:40 I have never seen someone refer to the weird route as "Side B" aside from when talking about a certain file i forget the name of (that ends in _sideb)
It's true that Kris had a life before the vessel came, and the reason why Kris takes possession of the vessel (player) at some points is because it'll prevent the player/vessel from controlling the main character.
As a scratch coder I can tell you, this would take 2-3 months of coding and a few days of graphics and concept stuff

I've seen in some fangames the red attacks take away from your max health (I believe only for the battle but it also might've been a single fight fangame so idk) which seems like a really cool concept because it's damage that you can't heal

This is actually INCREDIBLE for something made in scratch of all things. It is a little edgy, but I think that’s because we know little to nothing about Kris, so the creator just made something up.

Someone should make a fan game where the vessel was never discarded and kris was never controlled
It'd be cool if they added the ability to customize the vessel to add some attacks (like how [SPOILER ALERT] the thrash machine gives you special attacks in the last fight)
I have a theory about this fan game
The reason why kris isn’t talking in deltarune is because while the outside world is happening these two (the vessel and kris) are fighting over who controls the body and while the vessel is fighting kris they are controlling kris too so after chapter one when this fight is done that’s the reason kris throws out the vessel (which is the heart/soul that you are controlling) and starts taking control of his own body (I just made something up because I wanted to and I wanted to try and make a theory)
The end could be a dark fountain because Kris is in his dark form
Ironically, there are three ways to kill Kris and only one way to spare them and at the same time, it is even difficult to decide which of these methods of killing is the most cruel, because here you can: Attack the whole fight and eventually finish off approaching Kris while they are trying to somehow dissuade you, attack the whole fight and eventually leave them to slowly die of bleeding, the whole fight to gain confidence and eventually inflict the strongest attack while they are exhausted
You can actually make good games with scratch. That's if the coding actually works and not bugs out with some things xd

I really liked pacifist tho. Cus its so relatable. We came to "escape" from our world. Every time i play indie games like these i always feel more relaxed than ever. Its si nice to "escape" from school, work, my friends, my family and just everything and play some adventure games at night. I bet many other people can relate too.
