Armand and Louis had me giggling with those looks in the flashback. Made me think I was falling in love. Daniel needs to watch what he says sometimes. Don't agitate the vampires.
Sometimes I think he's doing it on purpose so they say something in anger and not so composed and rehearsed. Especially with his line of questioning. It's like he's trying to get the truth and doesn't believe the words that they are saying.
We didn't really see Lestat do anything to the extent of Louis hallucinations in this season in season1... We did see him use the mind gift but not to this level. Additionally we also know that the mind gift does not work between maker and fledgling... So there not really ANY way for Lestat to actually be invading Louis' mind. And also the actors did confirm in interviews that it was Louis subconscious. So it's basically how Louis thinks Lestat will react to situations happening. Sam Reid even said that he was attempting to put some of Louis' physical mannerisms into how he was moving his body when playing hallucination Lestat.
Good to know. I guess sometimes it's just so good that it's hard to believe that it's not him. I mean that really speaks to Louis understanding of who Lastat really is to have played him in his mind so well.
@DirectorsCutReactions yeah, some people have crunched the numbers but I can't remember exactly but Louis & Lestat were in New Orleans together for like 30-ish years... Granted, the majority of those years were probably when Claudia had already joined them... They most likely only been together, alone, a couple of years. But yeah, at least 30 years getting to know a person means that you can probably predict how they're going to react to certain situations. But yeah I absolutely agree with you Louis' subconscious does a really really good job! You definitely aren't alone in theorizing that maybe it is actually Lestat.... But the theories of people thinking it's actually Lestat...the show has already told us that those possibilities are just not possible because of them being maker and fledgling.... If they didn't have that specific relationship to each other. Yeah, Lestat COULD be using the mind gift to project himself into Louis' mind. Probably. If he was skilled in the mind gift which we have seen that he's relatively decent at using it! He's not the most powerful at it...but he's pretty good. The yeah the crux of the situation is the fact that they are maker and fledgling and so the mind gift is completely severed between them. The show has not changed that bit of vampire lore from the books.
