Remember that the show has a time span of 3 years, beginning when the Yui, Ritsu, Mio and Mugi arrived as first year students and were 15 years old and it ended when they graduated at 18 years old. Azusa only joined when the 4 older girls were in their second year and Azusa was in her first year. In the movie, I guess the 4 seniors were already 18 (not sure if Mio reached 18 yet though, she's the youngest of the 4 seniors) but Azusa was still 17.
