Sadly, this show is not on Crunchy but I will binge it later this month.

there was many "isekai" in the past it's just most was not well know these days, fushigi yugi ( inside a book), magicknight rayearth (summoned from tokyo tower, inuyasha ( fall in a well), etc... there is even 2 in the tenchi muyo universe that is mostly not that universe with Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure and isekai no seikichi monogatari ( even if this last is not that old (2009)!
