    Post-commentary routine post-youtube channel-deleted-incident.
Oichi might as well be Basara's poster girl, as their attempt with Kasuga sort of failed, Oichi succeded.
The first chapter, based on the historical event where Oda clan (with the help of Tokugawa) besieged Azai and Asakura clan, castle by castle. This stage based on their battle on Anegawa.
On to the gameplay! this stage will plays differently if you managed to defeat all 100 soldiers before the bridge got raised up completely. I thankfully succeeded to prevent that from happening (and double thankfully I failed in Azai's story, which is good because I can showcase the other route).
In this bridge route, Akechi will activate the corrosion incenses that'll corrodes your (and everyone actually, telling by the cutscene) armor, lowering defenses.
We onto Akechi's boss fight, in this route he will be activating the incense on himself like the masochist he is, making this fight double bladed side. He's weak but so do you.
After we ended Mitsuhide (yes, he died this early), we now to face Nobunaga, still hoping to be forgiven. Nobunaga of course, being the magnanimous man he is, choose not to.
The final cutscene, Azai took the fatal shot, saving Oichi's life and show that Azai did cares about her despite him being the male representation of a (good) tsundere. And Nobunaga blames Oichi for his death is the cake on the top of the cherry.
This of course lead Oichi into a breaking point, not yet though, as there's more stages that'll come.
Now we on to chapter 2, another historical event! this time Oda vs Takeda, on Nagashino. Historically Oda (and Tokugawa) took on the Takeda to take the Nagashino Castle as a transport point. The Takeda of course, fought back by bringing best of the best which is their infamous cavalries. Unfortunately for them, Oda has the power of god and guns on their side.
In this chapter, Oichi has been 'welcomed back' to the Oda as seen in the stage intro cutscene, the gunmen, the soldiers accompanying you, AND the fact Nobunaga and his co portrait is in blue.
Nobunaga is really cold and cruel towards Oichi for the whole story, made me feel sorry for her, Shingen too! It is also revealed here by Oda soldiers that Nobunaga really is the one who betrayed the Azai, not the other way around.
Then the gameplay, a really almost accurate representation of the actual battle. The cavalier captains can't be shot down by your forces' gun squad, but they can skim their health to 1% and it's your job to personally defeat them. After numbers of the captains killed, Shingen will deploy Sasuke to conjure fog to obstruct you gunmen's visions, stopping them from shooting. Now I don't know if the cavaliers can actually broke the defense as I actually never tested it, but you'll really need to defeat Sasuke before stopping all of the cavalier captains, they'll be useful for Shingen and Yukimura's boss fight.
Speaking of boss fight, after defeating all 20 captains, it's time for Shingen and Yukimura to enter the scene with their rather 'unique' ways of horse riding. The gunmen while can't damage them, they can still stun them and probably cancels their moves.
And we end the battle with a really sour note, more Nobunaga oral abuse and Oichi's blaming herself for everything.
We move on to chapter 3! ANOTHER historical battle! they're on the roll with the historics!
Battle of Tetorigawa, just after Nagashino, Uesugi broke off his alliance with Oda and allied himself with Ikko-Ikki (and by lineage THE Honganji Kennyo, the Gold hoarder guy) and Takeda Katsuyori, Shingen's son who's supposedly fought Nagashino since Shingen fell ill. Oda historically have Katsuie and Toshiie to attack Uesugi. They gonna pull the same trick against Takeda in Nagashino, but unfortunately, while the Oda has the gunpowder, Uesugi has literal plot armor on his side. He first flooded the rivers, preventing Oda clan from advancing, but also at the same time, a rain comes down, making the flood even harsher AND drenches the gunpowder from Oda's matchlocks. Thanks to this, the Oda are forced to retreat... Only to attack again after receiving the news that Kenshin's died of cancer.
NOW to the gameplay! where Oda sweeped Kenshin's forces in one fell swoop!
At the start we're greeted by the infamous "if a bird doesn't sing..." Poem, Oda's version. These poems are made to distinct the great three unifiers of Japan during Sengoku era, the first poem belong to Nobunaga where he stated in game himself, to "end the bird". Representing his cruel and ruthless nature. The second poem belongs to Hideyoshi, where he will "Make the bird sing" referencing that he forcefully defeats all of his rivals to unify Japan. And the third and last poem belong to Ieyasu where he will "Wait until the bird sing" referencing his patient nature, and how he literally took over Japan by just waiting and a very minimum war campaigns.
This stage is very straight forward, if not simple. The part where Kenshin tell his soldiers to retreat kinda reminds me of Magoichi's surprise attack in her stage.
Oh yeah, there's the Snowfalls, their attacks inflict ice element attack which is quite a nuance.
AND there's THE infamous Kanetsugu! he looks just like a regular general in this game, but he gets his glow up in 3 and so on! he's also a bit stronger in this game.
There will be always some soldiers rushing back to the base even after you defeats all of them. In retrospect, letting them live just to round them up in this moment might've been the better idea.
Now there's Kenshin's boss fight, where he blames Oichi for ending Shingen. And Nobunaga telling that Oichi haven't letting her "inner demon" out yet.
We end this with another bitter note, as Oichi reflecting on how many people she ended (courtesy of Nobunaga, and the player, heh), she started to hearing "voices" of "Nagamasa"... Yup, she's one straw away from breaking the camel's back.

On to the chapter 4! get your personal item here or bust!
We're going to the rural areas for a bit of government clean up! accompanied by Ranmaru and Nohime! they're much more nicer than Nobunaga to Oichi which kind of warms my heart (clueless).
Start the stage with the main target being a literal child with the power of literal god and anime on her side.... And Oichi being creepy, being OK to game-ending people as long as Nagamasa has the Ok. It also interesting that some of Oda soldiers do actually worries about her wellbeing, unlike the fanatics who surrounds her in 3.
Itsuki's faction, the villagers, are quite unique.... By unique I mean WEAK in matter of HP, they're the lowest of low compared to other factions. But in low health, they made up in numbers! which means more exp for you! horray for oppre-(my lawyer told me to stop the joke).
Oh, there's also otakus on this stage, complete with pink happi coats, they act like I would dub the 'promotion generals', as their name implies, they ascend the ranks of a random soldier, making them stronger and heals them in full, so shoot on sight.
On the snowball slide part, just right before Itsuki's boss area, make sure to get the blue box carrying guy, he always carries a weapon!
Now to the boss area, you can actually cheese this area just like I did to get all of the surrounding villagers, defeating all of them is the requirement of the bonus mission and will grant you the golden box that contains Oichi's personal item. The item in question increases attacks that summons the black hands, her super's counts as this as well.
However the cheese can't lasts forever, as for the rest of the villagers are only summoned when Ituski's health is in half, so be careful!
We end with yet another bitter note, after ending every-single-villagers (Itsuki too), Oichi finally breaks.... Unfortunately for Ranmaru and Nohime, they'll join the villagers that just got yeeted.
YOU THOUGHT THE CHAPTER ENDED HERE? HAH! SURPRISE DUO BOSS FIGHT!
In a cool twist, both story and gameplay, you're to end both Ranmaru and Nohime (I have prepared the black hand skill for this exact moment) both can be painful as they're THE ranged characters of this game, thankfully they're generous enough to leave a red boxes to help you heal (and go search for that golden box, it's missable).
NOW we end this chapter proper with even bitter-er note, Oichi has snapped and ended off Nohime and Ranmaru.... She has one last target in mind....
CHAPTER 5, Honnoji Incident, but made Fraticide!
Unique to the story mode, this stage's moon's red instead of the usual yellow, cool detail. And you fought Nobunaga inside the burning building, double cool! you know what's not cool? this stage used as one of Nobunaga's stages for unification mode. Not that it's bad, but we're just fighting only him, and we're fighting him outside the burning building! that's kind of lame! why not use the harder stage where both Nohime and Ranmaru are there?
We start of the stage with a CUTSCENE! Oichi sang her way into the already burning Honnoji, who burned the temple? damned if I know, but anyways! it's her against the Oda clan. As the stage progress, it became clear Oichi's sanity rapidly slipping away.
As we wipes off the Oda soldiers, here comes the final boss, Oda Nobunaga himself, the boss fight theme plays, instead of his own theme, it's actually Oichi's theme; Nemure Hi no Hana/Sleep Scarlet Flower, showing us whose boss fight this is (the sibling's laugh off is also the moments of all time).
The boss fight starts after both of them screams "There is no other way!"... Which is Nobunaga's last words after he realized that Akechi has trapped him inside the burning Honnoji and before he commits sudoku. In the fight, this is the scariest Oichi has been for me, her tone is really yandere-ish and her out-demon the Demon King himself is a very impressive feat.
At the end, Nobunaga dies by her sister's hands. Poetic justice at it's finest.
Ending cutscene, as Oichi stared at her brother's body her theme begin to replays (and I went through the effort to look up the translation), she laughs out of satisfaction that "justice" is delivered, but at the cost of her becoming the demon herself, she cried as there's literally nothing left for her... The Honnoji then collapses with both of them still in it, credits rolls with Nemure Hi no Hana stills playing, a unique addition exclusive to her story only.
This story got my 9/10, I'm not a big fan of Oichi *before* playing this story (and also not a fan of her playstyle, at least in this game). It's really sad she literally can't get a W in here. But at least she got some of it in 3 (Eastern army route and the grey route... Sort of).
Oh, and her theme is a kicker, sang by Oichi's own VA (Mamiko Noto).

Out of every story in the game, I found out that Oichi story is the most disturbing one, amongst the others. Why? Oichi loses Azai in front of her very eyes, which also consumes her sanity, in a very scary way (forced to do such horrid things as taking many innocent people's lives), turns her into a literal demon. She got blinded in her visions (she can't differs what's wrong or right anymore), that costs Nouhime and Ranmaru life. After taking their pure soul, due to "Azai" whispers... She suddenly wants to avenge Azai's death, while being whispered by "Azai" all over the time to do terrible things against her own brother, Oda... When it was done... She realized everything that she already did before... She's awaken, and regrets everything... And finally... Letting herself burning with her brother's body...
    Can you even imagine.....
