    I find chart patterns very useful to decide whether to take the trade or for better entries on swing trades. I trade options as well, and patterns definitely help. Takes practice to see them, so I also flip to different time frames (I usually go from 1 min to 5, then 3). The more you know, the more your mula grows! Thanks for the wonderful education and of course, I love the trader family every morning on TraderTV Live. Kudos!

    Great video. Why set your entry for ROKU in the middle of the consolidation (given sell off on a good volume, and it broke support)?

    at 6:26 You risk $3 to $4 to make $3 to $4 even partial out at $1 ,so with 1:1 RR ,whats your winning average ? that would definitely will not work for me

    Hey Guys, Good edu video. Would a Bear Flag work in the reverse.... Gap down, consolidation, and a break below the bottom line of consolidation?

    Can you do an options video? I know it's not your field of trading but you know so much, so you probably can deliver this knowledge better

    I use the thinkorswim to scan the us stocks and i like the charts like sma,Rsi, Macd. Any idea if i can use it for Canadian stocks or if there's any alternative to check the charts technical analysis thank you.

    On ROKU, you're risking $5 to make a $1 or $2? Isn't that poor risk management?

      Depends on the probability, but yes, generally as day traders we look for at least 1/1!

      I was thinking the same thing looking at that. But like they said it depends on the probability. That trade set up might be so strong for them it works out the majority of the time so can absorb the times when it doesn't. However still seems like a really loose stop...

    Patterns are good but they don’t work all the time. Most of the time algos use them to trap retail traders because they know that we trade these patterns.

    • @whenmullet2674
      @whenmullet2674 4 года назад

      What does work all the time?

    • @paladdin1500
      @paladdin1500 4 года назад

      When Mullet nothin’ :)
      There are high probability setups that keep changing depending on market conditions. A bull flag or first retracement might be a high probability setup in certain market conditions and then it stops working under other conditions.
      What will make you profit consistently is the ability to cut your losers short and find which patterns are working now.
      Never fight the market, market is always right.
      Usually it takes 2 to 3 market cycles to get familiar with the action.
      Good luck!
