Fantastic! At 40 years of age, I picked up a guitar for the first time 2 months ago and can play this! Who are the 89 dopes that gave this a thumbs down...!
Thank you so much Nicholas! It gives me a lot of pleasure to teach these classic tunes and contribute to keeping the Beatles music relevant for future generations. Many more are on the way. -Rob
I've been working on this for a week now (listening to Let it Be Naked version and practicing form tabs) and decided to look for a proper tutorial and OF COURSE you absolutely nailed it! This is an absolute gem and your version as well as your teaching of it are as always spot on. Thank you!
Great job, man, and thanks! Ordinarily I avoid lesson titles that say "easy"-anything, but I gave your vid a chance, and it was great and wonderfully instructed. While I realize this is a fairly simple song, IMO you included all the bells and whistles, and that's exactly what I was after! Best of luck with your channel.
For real I’m 15 and began playing guitar 3 weeks ago with prior knowledge of music notes and I’m already starting to get the hang of this song after a few days
Definitely one of the few lessons that stands out from the rest. I have seem too many videos which are long and boring and shows only how to play or do the interpretation version..those type does not interest me as I prefer to play and sing. This is why I rate Rob's lesson's 10/10
thats the messup version on the let it be album, the guitar is out of tune, the first and my fav version is the charity one on past masters, that is done correctly
@xander Tune every string to one below it's current tuning. So the E strings become Eb, A becomes Ab, so on and so forth. Your tuner might also call these notes F# or G#, instead of using flats. Good luck!
This was excellent! i was looking for a good tutorial of this song because i want to perform it at my last concert in highschool and this one was very good. keep up the good tutorials =)
How did it go? I want to learn how to do this so I can ask my teacher if I can sing it for our spring concert, I'm just learning the guitar and I rlly love this song. Was it easy for you?
Truly excellent performance and lesson! Thanks for the cool, je me sais quoi chords on the A7. It really adds a lot when one is doing solo gigs. Kind regards, Hooch
Nicely done Rob. 👏🏻 This is by far, my favorite Lennon composition. The first verse can be confusing and many people have transcribed the lyrics incorrectly. To be fair, I don't know if you wrote down what you thought you heard from a recording or read from someone else's transcription but the following are the correct lyrics. ...they slither wildly as they slip away across the universe. Not, ...they slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe. As I said, I know they can be a bit confusing to hear, but I hope this helps. ✌🏻
Excellent while playing J'ai Guru DIva I like to add a small embellishment to d chord with pinky on E string in G position keep it going Robert great tutorial.❤
Thanks for the lesson!!!! it´s very easy to follow at any level (I think). One little detail is that the original recording is half a step down... realized while trying to play along lol
Words are flowing out Like endless rain into a paper cup They slither while they pass They slip away across the universe Pools of sorrow, waves of joy Are drifting through my opened mind Possessing and caressing me Jai Guru Deva, Om Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Images of broken light Which dance before me like a million eyes They call me on and on across the universe Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe Jai Guru Deva, Om Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Sounds of laughter, shades of life Are ringing through my open ears Inciting and inviting me Limitless, undying love Which shines around me like a million suns It calls me on and on across the universe Jai Guru Deva, Om Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Jai Guru Deva Jai Guru Deva Jai Guru Deva Jai Guru Deva Jai Guru Deva Jai Guru Deva
I Played the "Let It Be" 8 track. "OK, I'm old" constantly when it came out in 70' I believe. Its not easy making some of the chords but I'm trying.: )
thanks, this is the first song I'm teaching myself through your video (ISO constructive creative).... now to play all the parts together. Need some speed. Thanks again :)
Start with just learning the regular f sharp minor barre chord which you're gonna need for the verses forget about the intro for now. Believe it or not it is one of the easier barre chords or maybe just start with the f major barre chord apart from this song - it really is the foundation for E shaped barre chords and shows up Everywhere in 60s and 70s pop and rock songs. PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP. trust me we've all felt what you are feeling now. Decades ago I came very close to resigning myself to a destiny of never going beyond open chords and campfire songs (there's nothing inherently wrong with that btw) but I wanted to use more of the fretboard. It took me 9 months of extra practice and a heck of a lot frustratio and tons of curse words . I hung in there years ago and I dont regret it. The bminor barre chord used to be my arch nemesis and I used to avoid any song that had it like the plague. Now I don't even break a sweat when I see it . I have confidence in you and I know you will ultimately get where you want to be
Tip for starting bare chords start high on the fret board the is less tension on the strings and you don't need that much strength to pull it off. Try playing "where is my mind" by the pixies it helped me a lot doing bare chords
Hey Saul, thanks so much for the positive feedback, I'm so glad you're enjoying my work here. Many more are on the way, both here and at Patreon.com/swiftlessons. Be well and enjoy your progress! -Rob
Please dedicate this song to your lovey dog hahah Just like my dog could give a s++t when I'm practicing haha ! Great video version and easy to copy ! Many many thanks ! Mickey
Dear Rob, I follow your lessons , and I have A question: How do Artists build a song, Do they play a chord progression instinctivly on the moment and try to build a song after their feelings, or some othe manner? btw, you,re number One teacher on the Web. thanks to you on behalf of all wannabe guitar players like me and others. cheers

So expertly taught, and the singing puts the lessons above all other RUclips Guitar Tutors, well done.
Great vocal too. Faithful to John's rendition and very close to his pitch and timbre. Great listen.

All I wanted to do was learn the intro, but then this bloke's voice captivated me. Really, really lovely.
thanks, man! I now know how to play (well) 3 beatles songs with intro, actual song, and ending with correct strumming pattern. total bliss.
This song suits your voice soooo good. I learned it when you posted the video, now I come here just to listen you sing. And honestly, I am in love...
Great job, man, and thanks!
Ordinarily I avoid lesson titles that say "easy"-anything, but I gave your vid a chance, and it was great and wonderfully instructed.

Best of luck with your channel.

Simple and to the point! I'll have to do a shoegaze version of this song with my band.
Even a young kid can learn the way you teach. Can I request IN MY LIFE guitar solo tutorial. ?Please.
For real I’m 15 and began playing guitar 3 weeks ago with prior knowledge of music notes and I’m already starting to get the hang of this song after a few days

Holy shit his voice is so good
love your simple guitar styles. Keep playing.
To save tuning down, the standard tuning "take 6" version is the last track on the super deluxe version of the white album.
This guy really knows how to teach guitar lessons... congrats!
If you want to play it like the record, tune your guitar half step down
thanks
I was wondering why it didn't sound right
thats the messup version on the let it be album, the guitar is out of tune, the first and my fav version is the charity one on past masters, that is done correctly

Tried the f sharp **** chord = screw this
+Max Karlsson don’t give up, rather check out my video on how to master bar chords!
I’m exactly the same lollll
F SHARP ISN'T THAT HARD
nah but keep trying, it's better to learn barre chords sooner than later trust me.
@tearsdontfall14 yep there are hard but then you learn them and you can do anything
