About Trixie levitating herself: Twilight was the first to do that, back in the season 3 premiere, when she caught herself after falling down Sombra's hidden stairs. Both she and Trixie just held and then lowered themselves to the ground, whereas Starlight did the full flying thing, ascending instead of just landing with magical help. Still, quite an improvement in Trixie's powers.
We also have another example of a unicorn actually lifting themselves with their magic, Twilight Velvet. I'm just assuming overpowered magic runs in the family with that one considering Shining's shield spells and the adorable little weapon of mass destruction that is Flurry Heart.
This episode was all kinds of fun, not bad at all. The only downside is that we didn’t make it to Saddle Arabia. Unfortunately, the MLP staff didn’t have the time to design the residence and the place itself and because it wasn’t in the script of the episode; so says Big Jim. As understandable as that seems, we are way overdue of exploring this elusive location and its inhabitants.
Yeah... We'd like to see the origins of the horse. No, really. Been having this theory going around in my head kind of based on the origins of the human race. The original human is from Africa, original horse from Saddle Arabia, and the modern western human is the modern western pony. ;)
Yeah, too bad. Hopefully they'll be able to make Saddle Arabia the setting for a future "Map Mission" in Season 9. There are STILL many unanswered questions and unseen locations we want to be revealed before this GREAT adaptation of My Little Pony airs its final episode.
+Aloubell Okay, see I didn't know that because I have skipped MLP episodes that I deemed fillers with no progression. I wonder what other things in episodes I skipped I'm missing out on...
Yeah, it's similar how a famous musician's guitar can sell for several times what others of the same model and year regularly go for. Plus, look at that custom paint job. Trixie's cutie mark is all over that thing. As far as Trixie memorabilia goes that thing's almost up there with her hat and cloak.
My thoughts: 2:00 If Cadence and Flurry could come to the show, then you'd think that Sunburst would come too, or at least have a reason for not coming. 3:17 Wait, so Trixie has been travelling around all this time? Huh. I thought that she just chose to live in Ponyville long-term now. 4:29 Trixie is moonwalking, your argument is invalid. 4:44 Starlight taught Trixie her flight spell! Trixie can fly! I repeat, TRIXIE CAN FLY! 6:12 Puzzles and board games, I get, and the raft could be useful. But what the heck are "Campfire spices"? And why does Starlight have a collection of them? Regardless, I bet Zecora approves. 6:31 Is that the same cannon from "No Second Prances"? Callback win! DING. 7:50 I love how aware Starlight is of all of the Mane Six tropes we've gotten used to at this point. Also, I love how last time this joke came up, the Mane Six really did sing a song, and this time it was Starlight and Trixie's turn. Yay. 9:41 Starlight is a fan of Rio. 13:03 That explains why nopony like Party Favor ever tried sneaking out at night to get their cutie mark and try embracing their talent again for one night. 13:14 Starlight looks so much like a ninja right now, I keep half-expecting her to throw a shuriken made of magic. Also, I have to give Starlight credit for not doing what Trixie did and waking her up just to shut her up. 15:37 This was the moment where the Starlight's infamous storm cloud of rage should have made a return. Missed opportunity. 16:20 Douche move, Starlight. However! This is a rather nuanced moment for her character. This is a moment where her character flaws and her character development are colliding with one another. On one hand, Starlight's impulsive control freak persona who can't understand other's emotions or properly gauge reactions is rearing its ugly head again. And this is technically her biggest character flaw, discounting her magic addiction. It might be something that she keeps working on, but it's not necessarily something that she'll truly ever get over. On the other hand, Starlight is looking at this problem logically rather than emotionally. Before she grew as a character, Starlight would either guilt-trip Trixie into getting rid of the caravan, and we'd see Starlight be oblivious to Trixie's feelings about it, or she'd try to use her magic to make the situation more enjoyable(First thing that comes to my mind is shape-shifting the caravan against Trixie's wishes. and/or mind control). Here, she just thinks that she's doing Trixie a favor, and improving their condition at the same time. Plus, she does it WITHOUT abusing her magic! To Starlight, she's trading a cramped cottage that's making them get on each other's nerves, for a spacious mansion and a set of robes that make her look like a sorcerer from Dr. Strange. Logically, it is the better choice, but that's because Starlight isn't factoring in Trixie's sentimental attachment to the caravan due to ignorance of it.
I assume that Flurry and Cadence just happened to be in town. No reason to go out of the city to see a touring magician, after all. She's probably performing in the Crystal Empire sooner or later.
Trixie performing in the Crystal Empire? ...Okay, hands up! Who wants to see a Trixie/Sunburst episode where they get into alicorn babysitting shenanigans?
Yeah, which is very weird, considering it's _her_ waggon that she supposedly used for such a long time :q Almost as if it were a subtle suggestion/foreshadowing that you can know something (or somepony) for a long time and still don't know certain things about them ;> BTW the waggon is not _that_ old, though, considering that it was completely destroyed by Ursa Minor in "Boast Busters" ;>
Upon further review, there were also times where the door opened outward, so I'm pretty sure Silver Quill will be unimpressed by the lack of CONTINUITY
"You two have a real chemistry!" Mi Amora Cadenza, Princess of *Love* , to Starlight and Trixie. The writers just love to sprinkle those in every once in a while, don't they?
@@cherryrush210 Actually, didn't we see her do just that once, in one of the flashbacks of Twilight when she was younger? Granted, they were nameless background ponies, but still.
I think the writers intended that to be her mending a broken relationship. I meant more making folks fall in love who otherwise might not, as the greco-roman love gods were wont to do.
@@cherryrush210 Yeah, but doing that means she could (and arguably would) also do the other. I mean; she didn't even ask in that scene. Also there's the fact that we've never seen her do something like that apart from flashbacks. Maybe she used to be a lot more liberal with her powers, but stopped.
At least one of them wasn't that much "nameless": it was Sibsy's (Sabrina Alberghetti's) OC/ponysona, Wild Fire ;) (Sibsy was one of the storyboard artists for the show back then.)
Actually the self levitation has already been performed in the show by the Cake twins and Twilight before... Starlight wasn't the first who self levitated.
Okay, I had forgotten about Pumpkin Cake, but I honestly don't remember Twilight ever doing that. Regardless, it seems to be a rather rare skill, one that only over-powered Unicorns seem to have, so I say that still says a lot about Trixie's current power and skill level.
16:35 He did say Trixie has fans in Saddle Arabia(probably since her fireworks show for dignitaries from Saddle Arabia in "Magic duel" episode). So he probably can trade it, or just keep it for his collections. I think former more likely than latter.
He also really likes Trixie's shows, so it's like trading vehicles with a celebrity. If he was telling the truth and she's got a fanbase in Saddle Arabia, he could have resold it or just have showed it off to the other fans.
Yeah, the wagon is for Trixie like the Going Merry was for the One Piece crew. (an anime about a pirate crew. I don't know if you knew about it.) Given the hinting they used, I wonder if they should have had it come to a head differently, or at least explained the sentimental value a bit better. But that's just me. I wasn't in the writers' room.
Lol nice usage of Thorax there when you figured out they were in Somnambula. (Man it's awkward to mention the village by name when Somnambula is an actual pony and back to the living world... "Somnambula's no doubt filled to the brim" indeed)
Somehow, Starlight snoring loudly, and Trixie talking in her sleep, fits them perfectly. But it looked like Starlight wasn't dreaming about kites in this episode lol 19:20-19:28 well, besides possibly being hungry, looks like those crocs wanted to get back at Starlight for using them as stepping stones earlier, by having her for a snack!
I want to eat Starlight, but not as food, I want to "eat" some other part of her body that's very sexy! Can you guess? Starts with a "p" and ends with a "y" with "uss" in the middle
I loved the Starlight and Trixi duet song in this episode. Unfortunately, I have seen a few spoilers for the last six episodes. I tried so hard to avoid spoilers, but they just popped up randomly in my suggestions. I haven't watched any clips or read about the plots. So I still don't know how the episodes will play out. Next season I'm going to definitely avoiding spoilers.
27:45 Twilight (as a "higher level" unicorn) also levitated herself for a few seconds in S3E02. She stopped her falling body, sustained herself a bit and only ended it after teleporting safely to the ground (that was really close to her, but she also did "flipped" her orientation for convenience).
41:36 Hooffar said he recently acquired his new, big nice cart. He wanted to swap it with Trixie´s back in Ponyville (even before knowing she will travel with her assistant in it). -> Ideally Starlight should have got her own small cart, as even with his big one they would have to still sleep together. It is implied that he trades on silk (stereotypical for "middle east" road merchant characters in a pseudo-medieval setting like Equestria); since he also had some "nice clothes" on the size and shape for Starlight (that he could not use himself); plus he did not wanted to take it to Saddle Arabia. He probably did not needed such a big cart for his travel BACK home [but rather one just big enough to house him plus the money/spices he colected]; something that would also be an advantage when having to sort through difficult places like the swamps and rivers. -> He got it while he was still "full of stuff" FROM Saddle Arabia that he wanted to sell through various towns of Equestria.
20:53 hoo'far: perhaps you could prove your friendship. trixie: How!? hoo'far: I think it's kissing each other by the lips. Starlight: KISS?! Oh that's just ridiculous! I am not kissing my best friend on the lips! Trixie: oh just come here,! ( trixie pull starlight close to her and she kissed her fiercely. Starlight was surprised by her move and try to pry herself off.) hoo'far: no I don't think it was kissing. (trixie opened her eyes in shock. she push starlight off and they both spit in disgust.) I put in spongebob part when he and squidward were delivering pizza. spongebob suggest that the pioneers would eat coral. squidward began eating the coral, but spongebob said, "no maybe it wasn't coral." and squidward spit out the coral in his mouth.
I love how quick you were to catch on the "Road to" movie reference and at least knew that their song was a reference to some movie. The reference the song makes just so happened to be the same "Road to" movies complete with fourth-wall banter.
You know I happen to have a headcanon about that wagon. I think it actually used to belong to Trixie's father. Like it was his before he settled down in los-pegasus. So he decided to let her have it. Which would explain why she was so torn when she found out Starlight gave it away, she was in that wagon her whole life. Her childhood. Everything. All those memories and Starlight just gave it away without a thought. Yes that's my head cannon, and it is fully loaded and ready to fire.
I like the episode too, but I think the resolution was a bit rushed, or at least minimally spoken. And it could have ended in a way that still had the trip work out. On a minor note, Trixie was right about the budget, but should have given a better reason for standing in that long line for food.
For me it's 22. 23 was great too, definitely up there with regards to writing and message, however these new characters were kinda... weird :q (And I shut up now because spoilers...)
I think the reason that unicorn wanted Trixie's wagon was because it was better suited for one pony and his was better for two. His was so much bigger in fact that Starlight obviously had problems moving it with magic. So I understand why he would probably want to downsize for the convenience.
9:20 "How?" Magic, snerk snerk; magic, snerk snerk; magic, snerk snerk; magic, snerk snerk. 15:00 That is a good question; IS that a horse? 15:50 As I said when Starlight pulled Trixie out of her trailer on the first half of 'To Where and Back Again', "Do not mess with a ticked off unicorn.". Of course she was not ticked off back when; but my point still applies. 16:30 I don't understand why he wanted it so badly either; I myself didn't see it coming. Total jerk move if you ask me; both on Starlight's part (for it wasn't hers to trade), and on Hoo'far's part for bypassing what should have been clearly the owner. 17:40 She certainly did. 18:20 Oh yes she can. It should have been abundantly clear that Trixie, not Starlight, was the owner. By trading with Starlight away from Trixie who made it clear she didn't want to trade, he took advantage of both of them. He is as much in the wrong as Starlight is on this one. 19:10 Wait, he's a unicorn; can't he teleport? 19:40 Two are better than one. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 22:00 I'm not surprised; I suspected when I read the synopsis that we weren't going to see Saddle Arabia. It was clearly about the journey; not the destination. Although I expected they would have made it there. 22:55 That's what I said. 24:20 I always assumed her wagon was rebuilt and she still has the same one. I'll have to go back to 'Boast Busters' and compare. 18:25 "De magix." I'll go sit in the corner now.
33:18 Starlight did a lot of "travel" before by herself when she was developing her cutiemark removal spell... but she always had everything she needed and plenty of extra supplies. We only have a "reminescence" of Double Diamond meeting Starlight (and only Starlight, as he was her "right hoof pony" in their town because of the previous time they share together), up on the snow peaks path between mountains [he was there "driven&pushed" by his cutiemark to practice snowbard on the most difficult places], with her living alone already in those same "cave systems" she escaped at the end of S5E02 [it also explains why she carved an underground tunnel in her house, she learned how to make them long before building her village]. -> While not "loaded" with money; Starlight has never being a poor/humble pony [her father provided her with all of those things she had in her bedroom as a teenager foal... things he never sold when she abandoned her home]. In fact the whole "lack of a NEED" for making friendships to survive/prosper, plus how easy she adapted to living later as a Mayor (and on a castle with royalty) sugest that her family was always "a 1%er elite" just like Twilight´s parents.
"Camping" is something only the "lower class" does.... as they do not have a home that is comfortable enough to never feel the need to "go outside" except for things that actually do require a lack of ceilings (like flying kites). -> Same with "sport teams" like the Wonderbolts [or hoofball]; things Starlight was not even aware of their existence before befriending the mane six.
To be fair, Trixie did a number of impressive magic tricks back in season 1 and that's without the Amulet. She hogtied Applejack and turned Rarity's hair green! I thought it was a bit strange that they would retcon Trixie to such a no-magic talent pony two seasons ago.
Another gloriously fun episode with a good message: Just cause you're great friends with someone, does *not* mean you can spend an extended period of time with them in tight quarters
Watching this episode all I could think was " [singing] We're off on the road to Rhode Island/We're having the times of our lives Take it, Trix. We're quite a bit of partners just like Thelma and Louise/Except you're not six feet tall/ Yes, and your breasts don't reach your knees. Give it time We're off on the road to Rhode Island/ We're certainly going in style We've traveled a bit and we fooooound/ Like a masocist in Newport/We're Rhode Island bound. Crazy travel conditions huh? First class and no class. Whoa, careful with that joke. It's an antique. We're off on the road to Rhode Island/We're not going to stop 'till we're theeeere Maybe for a beer. Whatever dangers we may face we'll never fear or cry/ Until we're syndicated Hasbro will never let us die, please! We're off on the road to Rhode Island/The home of that old campus swing/ We'd like to get some college girls and picnic on the grass/ We'd tell you more but we would have the censors on our ass Yikes! We certanly do get around/Like a bunch of renegade pilgrims who were thrown out of Plymouth Colony/We're Rhode Island bound/Or like two groups of college freshmen who were rejected from Harvard and forced to go to Brown/We're Rhode Iiiiislaaaaand bouuuuuuuund."
I see your Seth and raise you a Bing We're off on the road to Morocco This taxi is tough on the spine (hit me with a band-aid, Dad) Where they're goin', why we're goin', how can we be sure I'll lay you eight to five that we'll meet Dorothy Lamour (yeah, get in line) Off on the road to Morocco Hang on till the end of the line (I like your jockey. Quiet) I hear this country's where they do the dance of the seven veils We'd tell you more (uh-ah) but we would have the censor on our tails (good boy) We certainly do get around Like Webster's Dictionary we're Morocco bound We're off on the road to Morocco Well look out, well clear the way, 'cause here we come Stand by for a concussion The men eat fire, sleep on nails and saw their wives in half It seems to me there should be easier ways to get a laugh (shall I slip on my big shoes?) Off on the road to Morocco Hooray! Well blow a horn, everybody duck Yeah. it's a green light, come on boys We run into Villians but we haven't any fears Paramount will protect us cause we're signed for five more years(yeah) Certainly do get around Like Webster's Dictionary we're Morocco bound We certainly do get around Like a complete set of Shakespeare that you get in the corner drugstore for a dollar ninety-eight We're Morocco bound Or, like a volume of Omar Khayyam that you buy in the department store at Christmas time for your cousin Julia We're Morocco bound (we could be arrested)
oh, i just remembered a fan-comic where Starlight DID get some food from the other vendor...and it made her VERY sick! "and THAT'S why no one else buys food there", says Trixie.
Actually, the levitating spell that allows unicorns to 'fly' has been used by Twilight during the Crystal Empire, Part 2. As she was falling down the stairs to King Sombra's door, she levitated herself to avoid impact. Although she didn't make any sort of travel with the spell, I still count this. ruclips.net/video/33162l_ZMkE/видео.html Another time I can think of is when she was about to perform the gravity spell for the "Endless staircase" in the crystal castle, she not only levitated herself but combined that with the gravitational spell. ruclips.net/video/83ohAHOGink/видео.html So, Twilight, Starlight Trixie and potentially others have performed this spell.
I wanted to see Saddle Arabia too. I think Hasbro is afraid to be politically incorrect. Maybe Sonambula's village was as close as they were comfortable getting, and they were testing it out a bit here. I hope we wee it in the future.
Trixie and Starlight are two very interesting characters. It is interesting to observe how their friendly relations develop! Cool episode! And I really liked that song! =)
(Continued from my other comment.) 12:02 Starlight and Trixie find the wagon isn't so cosy. 12:13-12:20 Trixie getting smooshed. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 12:20-12:24 Nice pun, Applegeek. 12:21-12:33 How long is that thing? Oh, that long. 12:38-13:12 Trixie thinks she hears a wild animal outside. But it turns out to be Starlight's snoring. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 13:14-13:25 What is it with ponies and balaclavas recently? 13:16-13:28 Trixie rehearses in her sleep. I think she needs a balaclava, too. 13:29-13:38 Starlight and Trixie did not sleep well. 13:38-13:45 Starlight eats the last of the hay cakes in front of Trixie. 13:45-13:57 Trixie drinks the last of the juice in front of Starlight. 13:57-14:01 Agreed. 14:04-14:11 It sure will be. 14:16-14:50 Starlight and Trixie perform the "terrifying trunk escape", with absolutely no chemistry. Instead they can't stop insulting each another. 14:20-14:27 Starlight's face. 14:33-14:37 That insult and Applegeek's reaction. 14:40-14:44 Bad timing. 14:46 It's the guy who told the Somnambula story. 14:59-16:00 Starlight and Trixie dare each other to eat the last carrot. Also, more insults. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 15:42-15:46 That face. 15:49 Smoke bomb #3. 16:09-16:16 Starlight is about to go Lesson Zero. She even burns the last carrot. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 16:16-17:12 Starlight I'm shocked at you! Don't you realise how precious that tiny wagon is to your best friend?! Applegeek's right, it has sentimental value. 16:34-16:37 Me neither, it's never properly explained. 16:41-16:45 Trixie is about to have a break down. 16:48-16:52 Agreed. 16:49-16:53 Well maybe, but... 16:54-17:12 Aww, poor Trixie. Have we ever seen her cry this badly before? 16:59-17:12 Come on, Starlight! 17:12-17:20 Yes it's ridiculous. But it's also true. 17:38 Nose to nose. 17:41-17:45 I agree. And now Trixie has to drag her possessions as a result. 17:49 Her wagon! 17:57 You're still calling her that? 18:02-18:15 For once Trixie isn't flattered. 18:15-18:22 Applegeek has a point. 18:29-18:34 That's a good point, too. 18:38-19:09 Trixie takes a stand by lying down - in the Saddle Arabrian's path. 18:40-18:46 That dive and roll. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 18:42 That face. 18:44-18:59 Trixe and the Saddle Arabrian play the waiting game - for a whole day and night. 18:48-18:52 That face. 18:58-19:01 You said it for me, Applegeek. 18:59-19:09 That face. 19:09-19:45 Starlight finds the journey back more perilous without Trixie and the song. 19:42-20:03 It's the mail ponies again. They've made amends thanks to Starlight and Trixie's song. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 20:03 That face. 20:04-20:35 Trixie is still lying in the road. 20:11-20:13 That face. 20:15-20:21 That line and Applegeek's reaction. 20:18-20:21 Even pony Trixie has bad grammar: all she had to say there was "wagon trader" and it would've been fine. 20:30-20:37 Exactly. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 20:43-20:51 Trixie coming clean. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 21:00-21:11 Those faces. 21:11-21:30 Starlight and Trixie improv their own version of the "Sunshine, Sunshine" chant. They should've stuck to the original. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 21:26 Whose Line Is It Anyway? I love that show! But did you say "Hooves"? 21:31 Smoke bomb #4. 21:34-21:57 The Saddle Arabrian saw right through them, but still returns the wagon. 22:00-22:04 Starlight and Trixie return to Ponyville. Maybe in the last season we'll see Saddle Arabria for real. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 22:29-22:41 Umm...oops. Also, Applegeek's reaction. Overall, Starlight may not have been in the last episode. But this episode more than makes for it. I think if she and Trixie were the stars of the new MLP series, they'd be more than capable of carrying it; they're funny, have great chemistry, work well through their problems, and they're both incredible singers. The story here was good, but the music and comedy was golden. As I said before, I know a lot of what happens for the rest of the season. But I'm still looking forward to it.
You know, the magic show hosted by Trixie at the beginning of the episode shouldn't be all that exciting anymore for the ponies. Literally, the whole Equestria filled with magic.
Great episode!!! 2nd best of season 8 behind Horse Play. Starlight and Trixie always makes for a great episode. Although, that was pretty horrible of Starlight to barter with Trixie's property behind her back.
9:26-9:28 did they just break the 4th wall and just foreshadowed the series finale? Trixe:untold seasons to come our friendship will still be here Starlight:Nine at least.
Yeah, she could store things somewhere. I guess if they want to show Saddle Arabia again, they could do that, and maybe rent a bigger wagon from Princess Celestia. The old one could be left at Twilight's castle.
Bless you. The Road To....movies with Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Had to watch those with my Mom while growing up. Funny stuff. At least I thought so when I was a kid. Also, Trixie's wagon is the first building/vehicle not to display the TARDIS Effect. Even the Friendship Express traincars are frigging HUGE inside. Ok. I'll stop talking now. 😋
This was one of those plots where we have to ignore the fact that Starlight can teleport long distances on her own. Or her ability to turn things into other things.
It hit me the other day as I was watching a season 8 episode that we see Thorax and Ember fly by in the intro and we haven't seen either one of them the entire season, aside from the intro.
This episode was great but OOF episodes 21-23 are just wonderful! (At least to me lol). I can't wait to see what this finale has in store!! S8 has definitely been one of my favorite seasons! 😊❤
how many iterations of that song are there gonna be lmao the original was in "Road to Morroco" then it was in Family Guy "Road to Rhode Island" now its in MLP "Road to Friendship"
point of order There is one another unicorn that has levitated them self Twilight season 3 episode 2 she caught herself when she fell down the stairs she only did it for a short time but Twi was first.
Yah, i was gonna point out that Trixie might have mainly slowed her own descent.
Yeah, good point, except that Pumpkin Cake beat her to it ;) (S02 E13)
Bon Bon
Oh, you're right. Totally forgot about that.
We also have another example of a unicorn actually lifting themselves with their magic, Twilight Velvet. I'm just assuming overpowered magic runs in the family with that one considering Shining's shield spells and the adorable little weapon of mass destruction that is Flurry Heart.
Didn't Trixie train magic from Starlight.
I also love how the old stallion had the last line of the episode. "Is the show over?" Cue credits.
Peaceful Dusk me too
I like it too.
yes it is over
This episode was all kinds of fun, not bad at all.
+SpacialRend7
Wait... that place they went to before turning back wasn't Saddle Arabia?
No, they were in Somnambula. Hoofar even said they were in the middle of their glowpaz festival.
+Aloubell
Okay, see I didn't know that because I have skipped MLP episodes that I deemed fillers with no progression. I wonder what other things in episodes I skipped I'm missing out on...
Hoofar was a fan of Trixie, probably wanted the wagon so bad because it belonged to her.
I'm so impressed how much Trixie changed since season 1.
My thoughts:
2:00 If Cadence and Flurry could come to the show, then you'd think that Sunburst would come too, or at least have a reason for not coming.
I agree on all your thoughts about this.
Matthew Crombie Trixie is Learning more Magic :D
4:07 The reason the door is "stuck so bad" is that she's trying to pull on a push. At 17:54 it clearly opens inwards.
Yeah, which is very weird, considering it's _her_ waggon that she supposedly used for such a long time :q Almost as if it were a subtle suggestion/foreshadowing that you can know something (or somepony) for a long time and still don't know certain things about them ;>
BTW the waggon is not _that_ old, though, considering that it was completely destroyed by Ursa Minor in "Boast Busters" ;>
Upon further review, there were also times where the door opened outward, so I'm pretty sure Silver Quill will be unimpressed by the lack of CONTINUITY
She might have been so tired that she just wasn't thinking clearly as well.
Theory time: What if there's actually two doors? :> One in front and one behind, both opening in different ways :D
@@bonbonpony maybe because in 6:07 it shows that the Door is in "pull mode"
"You two have a real chemistry!" Mi Amora Cadenza, Princess of *Love* , to Starlight and Trixie.
The writers just love to sprinkle those in every once in a while, don't they?
I wonder if Cadence ever uses her magic to actively ship ponies.
At least one of them wasn't that much "nameless": it was Sibsy's (Sabrina Alberghetti's) OC/ponysona, Wild Fire ;)
(Sibsy was one of the storyboard artists for the show back then.)
The fact that Cadence did the (sun shine- sun shine) dance while Flurry Heart was still on her head. 😁 2:23
Flurry didn’t seem comfortable with that 😂
Actually the self levitation has already been performed in the show by the Cake twins and Twilight before...
Twilight did it when she fell to the bottom of Sombra's dark hidden staircase.
Twilight did that when she felt down the stairscase in Sombra's hidden underground chamber or whatever that place was in the season 3 premier.
laszlo zsurka Twilight Velvet also did it back in the Zeppelin episode.
The episode was Crystal Empire part 2 just before the Door of FEAR. season 3
4:29 michael jackson would be so proud of trixie.
Definitely.
16:35 He did say Trixie has fans in Saddle Arabia(probably since her fireworks show for dignitaries from Saddle Arabia in "Magic duel" episode). So he probably can trade it, or just keep it for his collections. I think former more likely than latter.
I don’t know who snores louder, Starlight or my dog
It stil doesn't beat Rainbow Dash's snoring :q
Bon Bon I forgot about her and Pinkie
My dog doesn't snore, but she "talks" in her sleep. And it is adorable!
FEqBrony one of my dogs does that too
Michalina Sos when he snores it almost feels like my bedroom is shaking. Almost 🤣
"Its a good thing were not like twilight and the others." (Immediately burst into song)
5:14 Trixie: draw me like one of your French girls
That song is officially one of my favorite songs for this season, if only because it's Trixe's first song.
Beautiful reaction!

Felix the cat One of my favorite films.
Bruh...😂
I'm guessing that the other traveling pony wanted the smaller wagon because it would be easier to handle
He also really likes Trixie's shows, so it's like trading vehicles with a celebrity. If he was telling the truth and she's got a fanbase in Saddle Arabia, he could have resold it or just have showed it off to the other fans.
they even added a melody and sound effects to the sunshine ladybug dance this time XD
I love it.
I seriously think the hoofar or whatever he’s called is discord in disguise. He was trying to test starlight and trixie’s friendship.
27:45 And Twilight.(Episode "The Crystal Empire" she levitate herself at the bottom of stares)
That's why you use puns for location names in honor of someone.
@@danielantony1882 Just in case the historical figure decides to turn up a thousand years later and make things confusing?
Starlight and Trixie episodes are the best. :)
All Bottled Up lol
I love them both.
One of the best.
I wonder who Trixie and starlights voice actors are.
12:21 applegeek: hey look, more “pan”-dering
Me:ba dum tss😁
More like ba dum f'tong :J (the last one is the sound of a pan)
Badum pssshhhh
Somehow, Starlight snoring loudly, and Trixie talking in her sleep, fits them perfectly. But it looked like Starlight wasn't dreaming about kites in this episode lol
19:20-19:28 well, besides possibly being hungry, looks like those crocs wanted to get back at Starlight for using them as stepping stones earlier, by having her for a snack!
I want to eat Starlight, but not as food, I want to "eat" some other part of her body that's very sexy! Can you guess? Starts with a "p" and ends with a "y" with "uss" in the middle
I wonder if Kelly and Kathleen actually ad-libbed the "friendship chant" at the end, sort of like Cathy did with Spike's "song" in "Equestria Games".
Finally, I see reactors are able to get this reaction up. An episode I very much enjoyed, especially since we get a Trixie song :D
Looks like I made it just in time, after viewing Universe and RarityDash’s reactions!
@12:41 OMG it’s that star from The Care Bares Movie 2!!! This is definitely nightmare fuel 😂
At 17:42, now Trixie knows what it feels like to have Snips and Snails haul her heavy, wheel-less chariot back in Season 3's "Magic Duel."
"You two have great chemistry" Princess of Shipping everypony!
Except isn't she comparing them to the sisterly relationship she has with Twilight?
I'm glad we finally got a new song in the season. It's been quite a while.
Twilight did that self-levitation spell as well.
I’m surprised that starlight glimmer didn’t make all of somnambula’s village go into mass hysteria due to her snoring like that 😂
I found a good RUclipsr I can actually watch the whole video of reacting to this episode! Finally!
3:40 The Great and Powerful Trixie has a new nickname, Miss powerful.
Better that than mis-powerful :q (as in someone mis-using their powers :> )
20:53 hoo'far: perhaps you could prove your friendship.
trixie: How!?
hoo'far: I think it's kissing each other by the lips.
Starlight: KISS?! Oh that's just ridiculous! I am not kissing my best friend on the lips!
Trixie: oh just come here,! ( trixie pull starlight close to her and she kissed her fiercely. Starlight was surprised by her move and try to pry herself off.)
hoo'far: no I don't think it was kissing.
(trixie opened her eyes in shock. she push starlight off and they both spit in disgust.)
I put in spongebob part when he and squidward were delivering pizza. spongebob suggest that the pioneers would eat coral. squidward began eating the coral, but spongebob said, "no maybe it wasn't coral." and squidward spit out the coral in his mouth.
She kissed the wrong end, didn't she? ;J
Bon Bon yep. even though I made one up, I thought it would be funny if I add something to this.
I love how quick you were to catch on the "Road to" movie reference and at least knew that their song was a reference to some movie. The reference the song makes just so happened to be the same "Road to" movies complete with fourth-wall banter.
Your genuine excitement over the show is so fun to watch
21:17 when you are forcing yourself to act as if you are a professional actor in theater 🎭 when you barely know what you are doing 😂
18:56 Trixie got VERY determined this time
This episode was definitely my favorite of season 8 up to this point, and 'Bound for Friendship' has made it's way into my top ten MLP songs.
Yup, this episode was very well written, animated, and overall well executed :) 8/10 for me ;)
However, there is an 9/10 yet to come :>
Which one's that? Because for me, the only ep that top's this one is 23.
For me it's 22.
23 was great too, definitely up there with regards to writing and message, however these new characters were kinda... weird :q (And I shut up now because spoilers...)
22 was pretty good, and the new characters may be weird, but I love them.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
22:00 I'm not surprised; I suspected when I read the synopsis that we weren't going to see Saddle Arabia.
The shipping is strong in this episode
To be fair, Trixie did a number of impressive magic tricks back in season 1 and that's without the Amulet. She hogtied Applejack and turned Rarity's hair green! I thought it was a bit strange that they would retcon Trixie to such a no-magic talent pony two seasons ago.
Trixie lulamoonwalk
12:02 that was a Biblical joke
This has to be my favorite episode in the season. I even think that "We're Friendship Bound" (the song) is my new favorite MLP song

oh, i just remembered a fan-comic where Starlight DID get some food from the other vendor...and it made her VERY sick!
"and THAT'S why no one else buys food there", says Trixie.
Those two certainly know how to do come backs and burns. This episode was to good.
2:34 for some reason I keep hearing that as “The Great and Powerful Trixie doesn’t sh*t”
"Sleeping in tight quarters bonding. Yay." Gets me every time. XD
"there's no such thing as too cozy!" yeah there is, Cozy GLOW
Actually, the levitating spell that allows unicorns to 'fly' has been used by Twilight during the Crystal Empire, Part 2. As she was falling down the stairs to King Sombra's door, she levitated herself to avoid impact. Although she didn't make any sort of travel with the spell, I still count this. ruclips.net/video/33162l_ZMkE/видео.html
Another time I can think of is when she was about to perform the gravity spell for the "Endless staircase" in the crystal castle, she not only levitated herself but combined that with the gravitational spell.
ruclips.net/video/83ohAHOGink/видео.html
So, Twilight, Starlight Trixie and potentially others have performed this spell.
6:57 Starlight: "There is no such thing as too cozy!"
Me, taking a side glance at Cozy Glow: "Are you sure?"
oh my god! trixie just dove in front of hoo'far like a speeding comet at 18:40

14:40-14:44 Bad timing.

10:08 its call Kebab, popular in Europe and Turkey, street food
yea, I can't wait for you to react the remaining episodes, they are great.
7:57 and yet you two are singing anyway lol
You know, the magic show hosted by Trixie at the beginning of the episode shouldn't be all that exciting anymore for the ponies. Literally, the whole Equestria filled with magic.
Great episode!!! 2nd best of season 8 behind Horse Play. Starlight and Trixie always makes for a great episode. Although, that was pretty horrible of Starlight to barter with Trixie's property behind her back.
Damn, a lot of shipping in this ep.
I like it.
43:53 actually, they do appear 1 other time. The Equestria Games back in season 4
You're going to need this next episode. ✔
7:02 "You may eat those words" - Applegeek, _Predictions and Prophecies_
9:26-9:28 did they just break the 4th wall and just foreshadowed the series finale?
Trixe:untold seasons to come our friendship will still be here
Starlight:Nine at least.
Yep
Yeah, she could store things somewhere. I guess if they want to show Saddle Arabia again, they could do that, and maybe rent a bigger wagon from Princess Celestia. The old one could be left at Twilight's castle.
ok maybe he's just a pure on a fanboy, that's my theory on why he wanted the wagon. cus 18:10 dem hips don't lie
8:46 Trixie: "It sure is great traveling with you, buddy!"
Starlight: "You too, buddy!"

When will you react other EQG shorts
The part with the hoofcuffs could be a reference to Rio, the movie about the birds
This was one of those plots where we have to ignore the fact that Starlight can teleport long distances on her own. Or her ability to turn things into other things.
Ironic that i just got the notification, right as im working on a Starlight and Trixie SFM. Based off Dragonball Z Abridged XD
Just finished school as i looked forward to watching your reaction to this! 😁
2:28, you did enjoy that a bit much, but so do I, the only difference is I just smile and acknowledge it as cute
12:41 How did you know it was Starlight?
I’m glad you liked it, the next episode will feature the return of an old wonderbolt
1:18 Best Clip Ever

Flurry Heart: (Hides) I can't watch!
Episode 20 is one of my favorite episodes in season 8, you'll just have to watch it first to see what I love the most!
It's one of the characters ^w^
Ok,that was pretty cute when you did that chant,Applegeek.
It hit me the other day as I was watching a season 8 episode that we see Thorax and Ember fly by in the intro and we haven't seen either one of them the entire season, aside from the intro.
16:09 Starlight laughing like a evil witch
This episode was great but OOF episodes 21-23 are just wonderful! (At least to me lol). I can't wait to see what this finale has in store!! S8 has definitely been one of my favorite seasons! 😊❤
