  • Who was Abd el-Ouahed ben Messaoud ben Mohammed Anoun, and what was his connection to this University? The Moroccan Ambassador led an embassy to London in 1600 to create trade and diplomatic links between Britain and Morocco - and is thought to have been the inspiration for Shakespeare's Othello!
The painting hangs at our Shakespeare Institute but is travelling to New York on loan to be part of an exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art where thousands more people will get to hear his story #MetTudors
Here you can find out more about this fabulous painting and his links to Shakespeare.
You can watch the follow up video of his journey here: • The Moroccan Ambassado...

The Moroccan Empire has 12 cycles of age, and the friendship with the British Empire is a good page in her history 🤝

No the 12 century was just from when moulay Idriss arrived to Morocco, but Morocco is more older that that, they found the oldest human being in JABAL IGHOUD ,
