- Disneyland has opened its new queue and it includes an ALL NEW themed exit through previously unseen portions of the mansion and new exit through a custom built crypt!
That would been cool if they dressed up the room with the stairs & elevator like the exit ramp where the guest exit out, with the dark brick looking walls. Looks good overall
Thank you Paul for showing this to us! When I was there this summer, I had to ride the stretching room back up. I’m looking forward to seeing this firsthand on my next DL visit in 2026.
@@AndrewPrince You’re gonna love it!!!
I was impressed by the way to get to the elevator. Much more efficient than having to go back through the entrance. I was NOT impressed by the fact that after exiting the elevator, you have to manually open the door to exit. As a scooter rider and usually by myself, I had to get off my scooter to open the door partially, get back on my scooter while holding the door awkwardly and then use my scooter to push the door open he rest of the way. Either they need an automatic sensor or a button to open the door.
@@airwalwer Agreed… and I found that the elevator door closed too quickly and I had trouble getting out.
Wow - they really themed that great!!
@@FunAtDisney They went above and beyond and made a really special exit to give the accessible experience everything that they deserve.
@ Well I think everyone deserves a nice themed exit, not just one group of people. And besides they use to just have them go back up the stretching room which was themed.
Yes they did and now they’re exiting through their very own themed exit… and they’re no longer missing little Leota (or Sally, currently…).
Still hard to tell how you got there after getting off the ride? It still looks a bit more modern than I expected. All the gray tones are just giving me the home decor fad from like 5 years ago for everything gray and monochromatic.
@@alextirrellRI We captured this last minute and blew the filming… we are returning on December 14, and we will film a better video, showing how we get back to the ECV, how we get to the hallway and then we will have better footage of the details in the hallway.
I agree about the grey. I'm curious about the reasoning behind that.
It's better then most wheelchair exits, though I really wish it was more heavily themed
@@wmweeza So, you’re saying that sound, lighting and Interior design aren’t enough. What do you wish they had done beyond that? Be specific.
Love the Everyday Astronaut hoodie!
@@thecliff4838 Bringing Disneyland down to earth for everyday people!!
This is a great upgrade. I'm really curious about the color choices though. They seem out of place with the rest of the theming. Thanks for posting.
What’s your opinion on the color choices?
They themed it nicely. Like others have said, the colors seem a bit off, almost more like Tower of Terror than Haunted Mansion but I get it, things need to be bright for ADA reasons. I love that mass of bells at the end of the corridor, all waiting for a rope-pull on the other end to alert someone.
Yes… those bells used to be backstage, but are now on stage because of the new exit plan.
i'm assuming that they don't bring wheelchairs up the stretching room anymore?
@@tennojiberri You are correct. This video shows the new exit process.
@@tennojiberri That kinda sucks. It's fascinating to see the stretching room resetting by riding it back up.
@@rainbowrunner1550 True, however it was always a logistical nightmare (see what I did there? 😇) for the cast, having to wait for guests who are going up and then to get the new guests to wait to board the elevator until after the wheeled guests leave. This new process allows for a MUCH better experience for everyone involved.
@WindowtotheMagic I agree with the logistical nightmare part. I have been with my friend when she was ECV bound and the amount of times people have tripped over her scooter while entering the elevator was plentiful.
@gothamsangel absolutely. The process is safer and easier now.
I'm trying to figure out how you get to the elevator after the ride. Did you loop back to the ride entry platform and exit past the operator to the exit?
@@zenomorph8806 Yes. Our next video, which we will film on December 14, will do a better job of capturing the entire experience.
My stepmother uses the EVC so the last few times are when we ride together. We stay in our dune buggies past the unload area until we go back to the loading area To go back to her vehicle then we would go all the way back to the stretching room and actually see it unstretch and go back to the front door
@Wiiguy1606 …and, from now on, she will use the new exit.
The new ADA lift looks good
@@Darth_Lucifer It’s a wonderful addition!!
Wheelchair thru exit crypt
@@mroscargoldman Good day. Can we help you?
@@WindowtotheMagic no just chatting with Paul
The elevator looks difficult to navigate since the doors are on opposite corners. Wouldn't it be better to have something like the Incredicoaster where the elevator doors face eachother?
It certainly would, OR… they could take just one assistance device up per load. The problem I had was caused by trying to get everyone up on the same trip.
i wonder how it will look during normal haunted mansion operation
Please stand by... we'll let you know!
Would it be possible (when you return to film) to see the ending of the ride and then getting off to the new exit?
@@mmh290 That’s exactly what we will be filming on December 14th. I’ll upload it on Sunday, the 15th.
So, I guess no more riding the stretching room back up?
@@HomePlateDrums You are correct. This video shows the new exit process.
@ Dang. I was just there a few weeks ago with my mom, who needs a scooter to survive both parks, and we rode the stretching room back up. I guess we are one of the last few to have that honor.
@HomePlateDrums it does, in fact, sound that way. Next time you visit the parks, you have something brand new to experience. I think the new process is much more efficient, if not as cool as going back up in the stretching room.
Kind of lackluster theming.
@@millcity9711 What would you have done differently?
And you are an Everyday Astronaut fan .me too buddy
@@robertjones1729 Yessir! Been watching him since the beginning. Sorry we missed you yesterday. Hope you’re having fun!!
@WindowtotheMagic I'm hobbling around..crowd wasn't bad yesterday
We were there from 1:30 until just before the fireworks. We recorded our show for this coming Monday.
I guess they couldn’t afford wallpaper.
I’m confused… there IS wallpaper.
