These mics are extremely sensitive and I have not found the sweet spot for nature recordings yet but they are the best mics I have used for field recording till now.

I had also considered building a setup with these mics, as luck would have it, I was able to bid on a very well used BP4025 at a price that I couldn't say no to! @@HpBeck_Fieldrecordings Congratulatuions for the BP4025! That is my absolute favorite mic and I use it in the most of my recordings. If I had to choose one mic out of all it would be the AT ! As crazy as it sounds the 4025 is also easier to handle than the LCT540S when it comes to the right balance of trim and audio level in the field. The 540S is extremely sensitive and dynamic with a very high output. I really have to push myself to be very careful with the input levels. The 4025 is much more "friendly" and it makes it much easier to find the sweet spot for great recordings.
