My Italian Grandmom's Big Pot of "Bosteen" recipe: - 3 16 oz cans of College Inn chicken broth - 2 cups water - 1 clove garlic, crushed - 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning - 1 tbsp dried parsley - 2 cubes chicken bullion - 1 small can tomato paste - 6 chicken wings - 1 cup pastina Bring to a boil, cover then simmer on low heat 30 minutes. Serves 6😋
Wow, This brings back memories. My mom would make this for me and the family back in the day, but she would make it more like a soup with diced carrots and the broth. Delicious.
I'm not pure Italian but I had eaten Pastina on a few occasions. Yes, it's delicious, it was pleasant you added some comical input with your story from the old days. I have watched some of your videos over the recent years & they had been great. With getting snow at the start of this winter season the other day, I'm sure Pastina has helped you warm up in regard to recent cold temperatures. From what I noticed, you probably consider Pastina as a nice meal to have on a cold winter's day just like Chicken Soup or Chili (which I'm currently eating for my supper tonight). I want to personally wish you, your friends & family a Merry Christmas. Hope you have a nice holiday season.
I love Pastina with farmer's butter! 🤤 Too bad I can't get it down here in Virginia. Somehow it just doesn't seem to travel south of the Potomac River. It's like contraband down here. That kettle faucet is really handy!
Italian comfort food (Poor people food) i called it but absolutely delicious love you mom for making it taste great no matter what you put on it BON NATALIE
Thank you, Vic, I needed that today‼️
What a coincidence! My wife and I are at HomeGoods at the moment and your post just came in! Who knew!!
I haven't thought of pastina in 40-50 years! But my Ma made it more soupier. Not a clump. Butter and salt/pepper
That third scoop with all the butter 😂😂🤌🏼🤌🏼‼️ delicious
Italian comfort food at its finest.
Instead of budda, I use 2 spoonfuls of lard...with some salt and peppa...

2:57 Yes, if you say “ricotta,” you’re not Italian. You’re American. And if you don’t say “Meddigaaan,” you’re not American. You’re Italian.

No, not at all.
Basically, polenta's bigger cousin.
I know it’s probably sacrilege but I’ve always added tomato sauce to my pastina.
Good guy 💯
Mmmmmmmm!!!! I still like to make it.....I make it just like my Grandmother with butter and egg (stir it in), milk and a little salt. 🥰
I just ate, now I'm hungry again.
