Your history is a little off. Doritos were inspired by Mexican dishes "totopo" (a dry dish) and "chilaquiles" (a wet dish). Reportedly, it was a restaurant at the California Disneyland that first made these chips by adding some Mexican spices to them. They became super popular, and mass production began in the mid 1960's, in America.
Wow didn't know that. Very interesting. See who says you don't learn anything from watching videos online hee hee.
Ladies you are beautifully dressed.
💜
Good morning, sisters! As always, you all look terrific. Very interesting. According to Google, there is a legend that Doritos was invented in the 1960's by a Mexican food supplier, using discarded, leftover corn chips at Casa del Fritos at Disneyland of all places! It was owned by Frito-Lay, but even they can't say for certain if the story is true. Never underestimate the power of women's intuition! 😉
Doritos are made by the Frito Lay company of Plano, Texas. I’m holding a bag in front of me right now. It says, Frito Lay North America, Inc., Plano, Texas 75024-4099. I recall getting my first bag of Doritos in 1978 when I lived in New York.
Cool ranch are just nasty
I want to try this "roti" they refer to so often. I bet it is delicious! 😊
Roti is flatbread like a pita
If you also want to try the papadum or papads you can find them at an international section of your supermarket or go to a South Asian grocer, they're easy to heat and serve. Some stores have frozen roti or they're easy to make at home, perhaps there's a cooking video about it... Of course there's always the option of a restaurant if you have one nearby :-)
Roti is the name given to any flatbread. Naan, chapati, paratha, pappadum, etc. What you want to try is chapati (or whole grain version, paratha). 😋 It's the flaky, slightly buttery version.
Pappadum is good, but not something you'd want with your everyday meal.
@@hdufort Yes, delicious and so light and flaky like croissant.
Naan
Good evening ladies from the Philippines ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
4:45 What does she mean by eating raw rice?... - Like, eating uncooked rice grains :0 ??
The original (red bag) will always be my favorite.
The "original" doritos had no flavoring added. It was just salted corn chips like what tostitos are now
the spicy sweet chili ones are my favorite. so good!
Oh wow, I always thought Doritos were American. Oh well, not that it matters, i’ll eat the heck out of them either way, lol😲😋😋❤️
They are American
Seems like they were referring to the concept of tortilla
I think he means "tortillas"
@@Villy245 Th producers desperately need a westerner to help this project along
Maybe Shameem Bibi should see a doctor for a possible thyroid problem? She seems to have swelling in the front of her neck
After reading your comment I took a look. You may be right. Good observation.
Everything is compared to Roti. Lol. It's hard for them to grasp things outside of Roti or their Culture sometimes.
That's on most channels with first tries.
It's interesting. When trying food from other Cultures and Countries it never crossed my mind to compare it to my mom's cornbread or our regular dishes. Interesting differences.
O Can you do jolochip taste the tribal women!!!! 🎉
Doritos are not from Mexico. They're from California. 😋
You have shared a wonderful video, be successful, be happy
am i the only one that finds the hip hop transition music awkward?
🙌🏼❤️🇲🇽❤️🙌🏼
Brenda.alicia.how are you
dori toast. alright. 😊❤
Haha so nice. 👍🏻😂
They all broke one chip in half, and ate a small piece from that. Americans shove 2 or 3 at a time in our mouths! 😄
I would have bet money that they'd like the sweet chili the best as that seems to be the most liked by people from India, Pakistan and Afghanistan that I have seen. The flavor of the chilis is probably more recognized to their palates. Thanx for sharing these with them and their reactions with us! ~Be Blessed
FIRST 👍🏻✨
Mairas.world.how are you
The ladies are all very cute and funny❤️👏👏👏
Thank you ladies. 😁💙👍
I have heard Doritos taste like a lot of things but never chicken!
Lol I love it! 😎
Someone said raw rice also. Like what lol
@@Mark-ko2ir I've heard folks say it taste like chalk and the nacho cheese ones taste like dust....lol makes you wonder what people are eating to know what those things taste like
I assumed she meant that it was maybe flavoured with spices they use on chicken. Much like sage reminds people in America of chicken or turkey.
My husband loves the chilli heatwave ones everytime I do the grocery shopping I always buy a giant bag for him. Lol yesterday was grocery day and first time he forgot to eat it its just laying in front of me while he is at work. I personally like the hint of lime flavour one has a bit of sourness
Doritos were born at Disneyland in AMERICA...NOT MEXICO!.. Doritos (the name is Spanish for “little pieces of gold”) were invented at a Mexican "restaurant" in Frontierland then known as Casa de Fritos... again NOT IN MEXICO.. lol.. if your going to tell them about the food tell them the real FACTS
@@nancymclaughlin6790 if your teaching them about it then yes it matters.. Im not a doritos fan either .. but if your teaching people about stuff then dont get the facts wrong thats just stupid..
Good information. I knew Doritos weren't Mexican, or at least I had never heard or read they were, but I can see it being mistaken for a Mexican snack.
I really didn't know they were started at Disneyland, so that's kind of cool to hear.
@@nancymclaughlin6790 are you 5?
Dorito's were invented in Anaheim California at Disneyland
Hv a vry fun
So many wonderful outfits worn by the ladies today, but A Rahkhi in orange is the standout. Just, wow! I wasn't surprised at all that the spicy, sweet chili was the most popular flavor as it would be the most familiar to their palate.
Doritos are the best for snacking
I can imagine that these are strange in texture and taste to them if they are used to potato chips.
Why free expired Roti to your animals am I the only one who things that's weird
Have them try Fritoes or nachos....yum
Tastes like burnt roti 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm dead 😫 lmao
Bilkul roti jaisa taste hai bht he zaburdust video no fake at alll
Nacho taste like chicken.🤣🤣❤

I want to hang out with you ladies!
😊
I wish they named these wonderful ladies. I would like to know their names.
they often do at the start of the vid
I have Cool Ranch RIGHT NOW!!! 💕 Love these ladies
Doritos are made by the Frito Lay company of Plano, Texas. They were likely inspired by a Mexican chip such as a corn tortilla and Frito Lay added their own flavors. The original Doritos chip flavor was Taco, which is of Mexican origin. All of my American friends love and eat Mexican food all the time….like myself. I cannot get enough Mexican food….I absolutely love it.
💗
Do those women know "german pan fried potatoes"? If not, pls make some and let them try it.. they will love the german pan fried potatoes.. i quarantee it.
Nacho cheese is best
They won't think it's nice if it ain't got that spice. Doowopadeepodopadoo!
7:14. Bless her ❤, holding up Purple, thinking it's Blue.
The spicy nacho ones dipped in a hot red jalapeno salsa are really good (to my American palate).
It is true, we have to travel to Mexico, to obtain these lovely delights, instead of our supermarkets, lol...
😉😆
Wow one of those ladies needs to get her taste buds checked
They not too keen! 😺
Love you all.
I believe most of the foods are trying are from original destinations and they are not halal. I am sure not all the items are in halal form. I am not against any products but I thought it’s better to keep them informed about the ingredients. Some chips contains whey and enzymes and it’s not specified on package if it is plant or animal enzymes so you have to check thoroughly and give them to try these products.
there is nothing haram in most american snacks and candies these days. it is the brit stuff that would be haram.
Doritos doesn't use pork enzymes in the cheese in the US. its a plant or rather fungus rennet used to make the cheese.
Most companies have stopped using pork enzymes to make cheese.
@@toomanyaccounts I think you haven’t check the ingredients and most of the cheese products are processed using rennet an enzyme found in animals stomach. If not directly but indirectly some ingredients that are used are not halal. Even mono and di glycerol used in the product are not guaranteed as plant based. There are cheese products that are specified if they are halal or vegan and there is a reason why they have to be certified so.
@@shymuzzgal9280 they are no longer processed with animal based rennets. it became cheaper to use fungus or plant based rennets.
halal cert means you just pay to have that. there is no vegan cert.
here is what frio-lay in the US has to say.
Enzymes are occasionally used to produce a wide variety of food products. For example, most cheese is made using enzymes to help develop unique flavors. The enzymes used may come from vegetable, microbial and/or animal sources, depending on the particular cheese flavor being developed. Animal enzymes that are derived from pork (“also called “porcine enzymes”) are used to develop the cheese in some of our cheese seasonings.
For those in the U.S. choosing to restrict pork-related ingredients from their diets, following are some Frito-Lay snacks that do not contain pork enzymes. If you do not see your favorite Frito-Lay snack on this list, please feel free to contact our Consumer Affairs Department for information. Another guide that may be helpful is the list of Kosher products, which may also be found on this website.
Please note: The information provided pertains only to products distributed in the U.S. Products sold in other countries under similar brands may be made using slightly different recipes and ingredients to accommodate local needs and preferences.

They should have had some medium or hot salsa, Guacamole and sour cream dip available along with the chips.
Usually you have a dip with these chips. I like a spicy bean dip. Here in California people put picked onions and hot sauce and lemon juice in a bag of chips and eat it with a fork as a meal. These chips are good for a walking taco salad too. You just use the bag as the bowl and mix in the other ingredients for a taco salad.
you are thinking of tortillas. doritos are meant to be eaten without dip since it has spices and seasonings on it
I never eat Doritos with dip. They're already seasoned enough. Having them with dip is just a flavor overload.
Sometimes these are used to make nachos
Ruqaiya was right, this is left over crap we feed to pigeons! 🤣Apologies if I spelt your name wrong.
No, Americans don't snack on these all the time! I haven't eaten them since I was a child. My husband often eats another corn chip brand with salsa as a snack though; Thankfully in the office so I don't smell them.
No one gives a shit when you’ve eaten them last. People eat these all the time, you’re an exception! Typical Karen response!
@@Bodmonbadshah, 😂 who pissed in your corn flakes?! It was asked if people eat them all the time. And people that actually know me think I'm 😎. Do you need more sleep or just different meds?
I loved this one! Doritos are my favorite chips. I love the purple bag (Sweet chili), I typically have French Onion Dip to eat with it. Amazing!
Hi pretty ladies 😊✌🏼. I have asked before… I can buy Roti here in America, but I would love to make it fresh. Is it difficult? Can someone show or tell us that only eat flat bread … me, how to make. Thank you and God Bless you all 🙏🏼
I don't like Dorito's but I like crisps. We have Walkers which Americans call Lay's. I like Prawn Cocktail, Salt & Vinegar the most, but all the flavours are nice. American's and these ladies need to try some of these flavours we have in Britain. Prawn Cocktail's lovely!
Ok, we get it. Reminds you of roti.
All the ladies do look very beautiful today! Next time, please give them something to dip their chips in... local sauces, chutney, something! Potato and corn chips are best when paired with a dip!
doritos have spices and seasonings on them.
what is papadum?
