Thanks for uploading. Unfortunately, I have the previous model or two (looks fairly similar) I found it worked by pressing the two middle buttons on the row of six grey buttons to the right of the dial . I wouldn't have guessed without seeing this so thank you. (Note there seems to be only five on this model). I hope this helps Interesting that 23,710 plus people, including me, didn't think to look in the instruction book. I keep telling my better half there is more fun to finding things out yourself. My face lit up when I guessed correctly.

I think one of the problems with modern technology is that the Manufacturers and Computer programmers get carried away trying to improve things and keep changing things to the annoyance of the consumer. I am all for progress but cannt see why basics cannot stay the same. .The Number of times we have to switch things on and off again to get them to work is getting beyond a joke. I Remember three channels on TV, which came on immediately you pressed the button and we were stuck for choice..(Although I do concede in those we had to stick an arm out the window with the ariel in one hand to get a decent picture) Now we have over 100 and cant find anything half decent. BT have just changed my phone system which means I can no longer phone out in a power cut or house on Fire without a mobile which must be ready charged and to cap it off all our extra phone sockets are rendered useless with the quality upgrade.

I cannot tell you how mad this machine was driving me. Was about to send it back now after having it for a couple of months. Beyond irritating. This turned off the noises for me on model FWMT85WE. Other videos suggest holding down spin and temp which works for others. Thank you so much. Not sure why this isn’t in their manual.

On my model you turn on and hold down RINSE+ and PREWASH for 3 seconds. Wish I had realised this before I had hours of hassles trying to work our why my sound had gone. 😭😭😭😭
