- My friend Tom is taking Amtrak #4 for his vacation and we decided to have a dinner with him at Philippe.
Anyway, Here's a video of departure of Amtrak Southwest Chief train #4 at Los Angeles Union Station on 11/5/15. AMTK 176 & 837 with two heritage baggage cars.
Nice one. Unusual approach to the subject and gave a great feel of being there.
i remember when trains 3 and 4 went through glendora at one time :( ( have an old at and sf crew time table showing so). nice catch and i always wondered how metrorail got into union station. the first part of your video showed that quite well.

How did a P32AC-DM make it all the way to the West Coast? These dual mode locomotives only are used on the Hudson river route north of New York? Quite a long way from "home"
