It's mostly Signs and The Ring, and it's made by the same guys who made Airplane! and The Naked Gun. Scary Movie 4 is still funny, and you can still watch it and enjoy it. But Scary Movie 5 should be avoided.
Literally nothing in this era touches Shawn as Ray. Saw this shit when I was like 11, was too good. Scary Movie 1 - 3 and Austin Powers were regulars at family gatherings lol

From posters, trailer, to press interviews they lead people to believe this was Drew Barrymore’s movie. So people were absolutely baffled when she died in the first 12 minutes and it was still a great movie without her. Even though people felt misled they loved it!
This was a great movie, and well done by the Wayons Brothers. My favorite opening and my favorite scene in all of them are both in Scary Movie 2, so I think you'll like it. If you like Hot Shots, Airplane!, and The Naked Gun movies, the rest of the sequels to Scary Movie would be fun for you as well.
