Hello guys! Finally our video in Edirne is here! This is our longest video, almost 25 min but here you’ll find everything about this outstanding city and what to do in 3 days 🎉 Edirne is also another underrated city in Turkey, but after watching this video we’re sure you’ll want to add it to your itinerary. Did you also know that Sultan Mehmet II The Conqueror of Constantinople was born here? In this episode we show you the exact place! Don’t forget to give us a thumbs up in the video ❤️
Just a little correction, the conqueror of Edirne is not not Fatih Sultan Mehmet's father. 1. Murat is the conqueror and he is 3rd Sultan, Fatih's father is 2. Murat
@@aykutsahinbas6259 I never said that Fatih Sultan Mehmet was the Conqueror of Edirne, I said that he was BORN in Edirne, which is different. But yeah, somewhere in the video I said Murad I instead of Murad II, that is my bad 😀
Personally my 4 favorite cities in Turkey are not the ones most people think of like Istanbul or Izmir or Ankara. For me it is Edirne, Trabzon, Urfa and Van. Those 4 cities are truly beautiful underappreciated pearls! I highly recommend ppl try to visit those cities!
I studied abroad in Istanbul about 20 years ago, Edirne was one of my favorite places I visited. So much history and art, very friendly and laid back. I remember the peaceful aile cay bahcesi under the big trees. ❤ Edirne
Turkey's history and Ottoman's history wouldn't be complete without the contribution of the Albanians. Happy that am Albanian and happy to see that we've contributed so much for the Empire and the republic. Mimar Sinan was one of us. 🤗. Awesome video as usual
@@jupiter1850Mimar Sinan is a devsirme of Armenian origin. It was a great value for our history. He is also an excellent architect. Even though centuries have passed, the works he made for us (especially the mosques) are still very beautiful and solid. However, there is an unknown fact: Relations between the Ottomans and Armenians were very good at that time, unfortunately, they deteriorated over time because of the British.
Turkey's largest city located entirely in Europe and quite possibly too, Turkey's most underrated city. It turns out that there's a lot of points of interest to discover in European Turkey apart from the European side of Istanbul. Anyway, what an informative video!
I am from Turkey originally but I live in London and I totally agree with you is all about Istanbul and taksim but after this video I will definitely visit edirne
I’ve been watching your channel for a while and I am glad that you visited my beautiful hometown 😍 great video, lots of useful information for tourists! I hope that people who visit İstanbul also have a day for Edirne because Selimiye Mosque’s unique architecture worths for a visit. 🥳 When you pass Meriç Bridge, you step on Karaağaç, it is the only land across Meriç River that Turkey has. Karaağaç was given to Turkey by Greece according to Lozan (Lausanne) Peace Treaty after our Independence War because Greece damaged West Tracia a lot during Balkan Wars, I. World War and our Independence War. Trees in Söğütlük Forest were planted just in case there is a war with Greece in the future again, we’re gonna cut them and build barriers so that it’s gonna make harder to reach Edirne through land forces. When I was a child, I was afraid that they would come some day, I had nightmares about it. I died twice in my sleep LOL it sounds riddiculus now but there were lots of political issues between us 20 years ago (like Cyprus and Imia/Kardak Crisis) so living in Edirne was never peaceful. My grandma also immigrated from Bulgaria when she was 11, they escaped from Bulgarians’ cruelty because Turkish villages were slaughtered by soldiers at that time. Everybody who lives in Thracia has similar stories and their grandparents were immigrants from Balkans so everybody knows what war and peace means and we also know the value of our land, we love our country a lot 🇹🇷 💕
Wow, awesome vlog with lots of useful information..... I will definitely add Edirne to my itinerary when I visit Turkey. Keep up the great vlogs and thanks for sharing the info. Love & respect from Bangladesh
Amazing and so beautiful For sure not many people knew about this wonderful city I also didn't know Thanks for sharing this awesome city video sister ☺️👍
Thanks, Bery! I went to Eskişehir because of you I came all the way from San Francisco, USA😊. I love the way that you present different place in Turkey. Muchas gracias, y sigue presentando más ciudades no muy conocidas de Turquía.
Had planned a great roadtrip in summer, from Athens to Alexandroupolis and all the way up the Evros to Edirne. Unfortunately had to cancel due to the wildfires. Hopefully we'll have a chance to visit this beautiful city sometime in the future. Great video, thank you!
Right now, I am thinking as to how many times I have to visit Turkey to see all these beautiful historic places coz this country is so so beautiful and vast from a tourist perspective. It just needs months of stay. I wish I could cover all of my travel dreams before I die. I am feeling quite impatient. Such a beautiful way of introducing another hidden gem of beautiful Turkey. It felt as if I was taking history class in a school. Almost, everything was covered in the video. Love from Pakistan ❤️
My first visit to Turkey was 9 years ago .. I only went because There was cheap flight . I didn't realise how fantastic a place - and how big ! Everything about it is amazing - Culture / History / Cuisine / Archaeology . ! I've been back several times and start learning Turkish . There is so much to see ..!!
Hi Berry nice video as always! Please do one for Mardin! Not many people seems to know this hidden treasure with its landscape and Artuqid architecture in the old city.
Hola pareja, se ve que es una ciudad con mucha historia. Me encanta ver a los perros y gatos, están gorditos, aunque están en la calle la gente los cuida
Great videos Bery! I'm traveling next march, wondering how to navigate cities with my luggages, is there a place to keep luggages while exploring turkey from a city to city?
Thanks for the detailed video. I've always been curious about this city, but there isn't much content on it. I see it's definitely worth a visit. I'm surprised it isn't more popular. Would love to see more content on the European section. It is extremely underrated.
👋 Bery, ayesha here from India going to come Istanbul inshallah in September and hope once meet you when you are roming there for your shoot.your videos help me knowing everything about Istanbul.Bery please make one video on where to shop Turkish dresses at reasonable prices. And where is the wholesale market for the business.
Hİ! Thats a lovely video!! Im currently a college student in Edirne. Edirne is really a outstanding city in Turkey. Im surprised to see you go to the Emirgan cafe which is near the Meriç Bridge. I used to work there as a waiter but Im sorry to say that I dont recommend you to visit there anymore. Because the owner and some of the employees are rude, food quality is terrible and besides they dont have any hygiene standarts. Im saying all these because I worked there I know and I dont think it is a good place to visit in Edirne....
I am subscribed to your channel & have watched many of your videos. You are doing a great job 👍. I'll definitely get in touch with you when ready to visit Turkey.
Hi Bery ❤. Your videos are amazing. Am in love with Istanbul❤. Hope to be visiting Istanbul again soon . How's the weather in May ? In Istanbul. Is May the good time to visit Istanbul?
The Dutch love to shop in Turkey as well. I live in New Zealand also known as Aotearoa. At the moment our borders are closed. Will have to wait until things normalizes again, hopefully before I die 😂
Fascinating place !! Great history / cuisine / Culture and Architecture . Friendly generous people . And yet , it's almost unknown to tourists ... !! Unbelievable !!
Is there a possible you can do a video about ''Istanbul Tourist Pass'' is it worh to buy it? Does it work? Bad or good? etc.. I have seen alot people asking about it on other travel-channels also..
Hi 👋 BERY We are planning to book our trip to turkey in December. Can you recommend good, safe and budget friendly hotels or hotel apartments to stay in Istaklal Street or Sultan Mehmet area plzzzz hoping to meet you too. 😊
Hey, that’s a very informative and amazingly you have explained. I’m planning to have tour on Nov 22. Do you work as tour guide or any contact no who can help me out to explore the city?

I wonder what the history of the city was like between Hadrian's founding 125 A.D. and the beginning of the Ottoman period 1362. That's over 1200 years of history which were not mentioned at all in this video.
