A band called “Saving Grace” where more than half the members don’t actually believe in God’s saving grace. They openly say they aren’t Christians. This completely contradicts 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. Light doesn’t mix with darkness.
Were there any lineup changes or those band members themselves “lost their faith” and backslid along the way?
@@fortodaymark many lineup changes. The Christian music scene in NZ is tiny and many of us (myself included, i wrote a fair bit of The Urgency and was in the band for many a year) were good friends first and foremost and, more importantly, had no qualms with stepping in to support the core members with their message.
I learned a lot and enjoyed my time. My own personal journey through apologetics found many answers to questions I had but, again more importantly.. I had no qualms with supporting my friends promote their values artistically.
The bands message and values will always be born from Christian values and teachings. The members who come and go understand this and wouldn't be there if there was any moral conflict in supporting this.
