The sacred liturgy is meant to be uplifting. Some of the modern stuff they are passing off as the Holy Mass and divine liturgy gets me getting up and walking out.

But you can also find in the Bible the start of the path that brought to the slavery's abolition. after, the 1917 Code of Canon Law depicts slavery as a crime against life and freedom (between other things), and so the 1983 Code, the 2nd Vatican Council (1962-1965), the 1994 Catechism.
OF COURSE there are other documents that are not as vivid, incisive and efficient as those I reported above; there are (overall early) documents in which the only slavery condemned is that of the Christians;
the 3rd Lateran Council (1179) and Nicholas V's Bull called Dum Diversas (1452) justify slavery against heretics, saracens and pagans against which some kingdoms were fighting (so not in absolute), but this was just thought as a temporary result due to the disorders and the wars that there were at that time, and in fact, beyond all the documents I mentioned above, for example Alexander VI (yes, Pope Borja) reduced the effects of Nicholas V's Bull with another Bull named Ineffabilis et Summi Patris (1497) where Alexander VI never says "slavery" ("servitutem") like Nicholas V's Bull; he talks about a political subjection, that would happen if the conquered people want to recognize the conqueror as their lord ("si... te in eorum dominum conoscere velle")

I have to humbly correct you here. We, in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church never put Mary on the same footing as Jesus Christ or the Trinity. We have One God - the Trinity, of which our Lord is the second person. Our Lady is the most special Human Being that has ever been created, Conceived without sin. The first Tabernacle in the World. She is the Mother of God (Teotokos) declared by an early World Council, but she is not God. And I love Mary with all my heart and she was martyred at the foot of the Cross. Can you imagine seeing your son die on the Cross? In our prayers we always ask her to "pray for us" NEVER "to have mercy of us."

Rev.13: 3 "I saw one of their heads as a wound to death, but their MORTAL WOUND WAS HEALED; and the whole earth marveled after the beast, "
Rev.13: 12 "And he exerciseth all the authority of the first beast in her presence, and causeth the earth and the inhabitants thereof to worship the first beast, whose MORTAL WOUND WAS HEALED."
And who is that POPE (or that HEAD) that suffered a MORTAL WOUND that was HEALED? was John Paul II, when on May 13, 1981 Mehmet Ali Ağca shot a bullet in his belly and in his left hand .
The Dragon gave him his power and his throne and great power. (Apocalypse 13:2)
And they prostrated themselves before the Dragon, because He had given power to the Beast (Apocalypse 13:4)
Rev.13: 18 assures us that the Beast is a real man of flesh and bones. Therefore, the dragon of Rev.13: 4 is also another real man of flesh and bones, for the simple reason that the Beast of Rev.13: 8 is real! and it can not receive the power, the throne, and the great authority of a Dragon that is fictitious or symbolic.
"Then shall the Wicked be exposed, that one whom our LORD shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the revelation of his coming:" (2 Thessalonians 2: 9).
That ADVENT is the resurrection the Wicked John Paul II, made by Satan. That is why he says: "BY THE WORK OF SATAN", but he will do it with the PERMISSION or AUTHORIZATION coming from God. The resurrection (ascension, coming or arrival) of John Paul II IS BY WORK OF FRANCISCO, because Francisco is Satan in person!

I have always relieved it is appropriate that a universal Church should have a universal language for its liturgy. It seems to me incredible that at time in the 1970's when more people were travelling more than ever before, that the Rome should push for the liturgy in the vanacular and inculturation.

Siempre que escucho este bello canto gregoriano, siento mucha paz y tranquilidad y me acerca a lo divino,para mí es Dios. que pena se ha perdido en muchas parroquias,lo maravilloso de nuestras liturgias,y el respeto a la Eucaristía, las misas se convierten en actos sociales y todo un folclore y una de aplausos.
A mi también me fascina el canto de las letanías de los santos. En mi parroquia sí las cantamos, y en Pascua cantamos la versión larga. Es un momento tan sublime, tan hermoso. Tocas el cielo.
Lo malo no es que hayan actos sociales o de folclor, sino que se ha querido perder toda la tradicion.
