  • This Friday is our first ever Matariki public holiday a time to celebrate mātauranga Māori, honour those we’ve lost and gather together to give thanks for what we have. It’s the same day a new documentary, Whetū Mārama, will be in cinemas, honouring the life of master navigator Sir Hek Busby’s and his work to revive celestial navigation in Aotearoa.
    Jess Tyson with this story.
