So that's why Sky islands weren't mentioned in the workshop description... since SI collapsed, then that probably means there are some SI ruins in Nascent Woods (future Farm Arrays). Also the rain in the region is probably an all-natural rain, because probably no iterators are capable of creating rain!
I can't wait for chimney or farm arrays to be "post-saintified". Also the cloud layer is lower then normal. Really puts the "new world" feel to this project
3:58 the track is called rain. Pipeyard is my favorite region because the top is lively and with a cleared sky, and seeing the region like this was like...damn. At least the other regions are vibrant and lively now.
Pipeyard! Yippee (Pipegrave) I also absolutely love the fact that Pipegrave is connected to the void, it even connects to flirtation system which is probably why the void is there! Super duper shocked that sky islands was here as well😅 Wonder if chimney is doing fine… edit: I thought Pipegrave would look more like shaded now that I think about it because shaded was destroyed when the scaffolding connecting chimney and the wall fell. You’d think that the rooms underground would be breached but I guess not! edit 2: since it seems like the void is spreading, I think that after this Rainworld will be taken over by the creatures in Rubicon! If I remember correctly those creatures are stronger than their counterparts and with the void spreading, it’s only a matter of time. But who knows! Maybe no one is ever gonna be crazy enough to make a mod that dives that deep into the future. edit 3: making a lot of edits but who cares. I now know that chimney must be ok because industrial is fine! I also wonder where the other half of sky island is?

No need to apologize! These things happen and I usually even tend to agree/say that every copy of Rain World is personalized xD It could be that I messed something up with the echo, what I tried was going there right after the "effect", then I tried at 5 karma, and then I tried with 6 karma (since that's unlocked for some reason like we chatted about before :P) As for the rest, it's all minor stuff and tweaks, don't worry too much! It's a massive mod and some things will always slip through the cracks :)
@@lolight2 oh yeah i think the error is that i put the max karma for the matriarch at 5, which the game interprets as being karma 6, since the values start from 0 (violence is karma 0, lust is karma 1, friendship is 2, gluttony is 3, survival is 4).

i guess pipeyard *would* lead directly into the void at this point, since by saint's time the void effects started in filtration system... these rooms + gate already exist in downpour btw, but i can't even begin to imagine what subterranean must look like with all these changes going on above and below it. is it even still there? another edit: i wasn't expecting sky islands here, but it does also connect to pipeyard, so i guess part of it was right above it.

ancients for sure knew how to make their stuff last for eons, if one of those structures were to fall from an orbit it would probably mostly reach ground and only burn off the exterior layers of bacteria-repaired surface
(mod dev here) thank you! that criticism is valid. i tried making all of the lower sky islands rooms heavily damaged, but there are a few ones tilted sideways! theres also more ruins across the surface that lolight didnt find in the video
This is my favorite region yet!!!! The slowed down music is absolutely genius. I never thought that Kayava could sound melancholy. My one criticism is that, according to Rain World lore, more ground builds up at the same rate that the Void Sea dissolves it, so some of the previously open ruins (maybe Outskirts and Industrial) should really be underground if it is so far in the future that the Void level has moved. Think of the buried temples in Depths, and think of real-world archaeology.
I just realized... Reclaiming entropy is the song that plays at the end of Saint's campaign, where he returns to the world as if nothing happened. Rain World is heartbreaking in every possible way, but i could only imagine, what state saint is in, has he ascended? has he found yet another way to ascend? is he just there, dying over and over from the cold? no one knows.
My one problem with this mod is the fact that in lore the only thing that stopped the cold was the constant downpours caused by Pebble's superstructure, after his collapse the cold was able to grow to blizzards. Other than that I very much enjoy this mod (21:24) side note I recommend avoiding Elite Scavengers as even with like 30 positive Scav reputation, they'll still see you as a threat
what you said is mostly true, but the extreme cold is caused by an ice age, meaning it will eventually end even without pepsi existing. this campaign takes place a long time after saint, when the ice age is over.
To be fair it never specifies how long after the events of Saint’s campaign this takes place, for all we know it’s far enough in the future that the ice age had passed.
i think the ice age was caused by the iterators because they had muddled with the climate so much :P like they made it so they based the weather and when they all died it became an ice age. then after a while of not having huge vapour machines covering the world it just went back to how the land should be (an explanation for why the buildings are still mostly semi-intact after so long an ice age has gone away is that the material is made by trillions of tiny strata that rebuild the walls and stop it from falling apart)
The thing is, that's not really true, saints time is most likely just caused by heat snap, basically because the Iterators produced so much water vapor it caused a large amount of heat and the clouds trapped most of the heat, when they all died said clouds slowly allowed heat to seep out and the clouds stayed which blocked sunlight too thus meaning the ice age happened, that is the logic behind reclaiming entropy's climate.
That's not canon though, if it were true then Outer Expanse would be cold as well, and we get no indication that the outside world, where all the slugcats come from, is in an Iceage. In reality, Saint takes place so far in the future that the world has reached an Ice Age naturally. The whole "Pebbles creates the heat to ward off the cold" was a comment from a dev, but not strictly canon.

Pipeyard has got to be one of my favorite areas. If not my very favorite. The atmosphere is just really nice in the original. The music reminds me of Fungal Wastes from Hollow Knight as well. I wish more people actually knew about pipeyard. There's even a lot of downpour maps that just straight up leave it out completely.

I loved the way that Sky Islands was merged with Pipeyard post Saint, I feel like the idea of Pebbles falling was really cool, but I felt that if Pebbles fell then why didn’t Sky Islands or Chimney?
The Sky Islands having fallen on top of the Pipeyard is insane... and its lower pipes having been corroded by Void Fluid, it looks insane! I imagine that gate will lead to the Post-Saint version of Subterranean, it originally led there as well. My theory is that, since the Void Sea opened new passages on other areas into it, the Guardians deliberately went to these places to guard the entrances - they seem advanced enough to be able to do so.
i also interpret the guardians as being beyond the limits of space and time, manifested by the void to appear wherever leads to the voidsea. the sigils above them are unlike any of the ancient symbols we see throughout the world, so i think they were made by some much much older civilization or perhaps the void itself
@@Parageist99I believe it states in a pearl somewhere that the ancients made the guardians to prevent failed ascensions and echoes from happening, but since they appear in rubicon, you might be right about the void sea just willing guardians into existence later in the timeline
Honestly, even when you try to make a map of the world, you just can't really fit the Pipeyard anywhere - it crosses the entire complex from one end to the other, from the Sky Islands, all the way to the Shoreline.
10:30 I did some testing and I think the only way to get through the room is with 2 bubbleweed. Unfortunately I couldn't find any bubbleweed spawns anywhere near this room so I believe you aren't supposed to get through it w/o cheats. Sump tunnel has some interesting changes though so I imagine it'll be accessible at some point!
did you know the size of the squidcada's wings determines how good at flying it is? if you find one with big enough wings you can fly even as gourmand!
It makes sense that SI would collapse, but really, aside from like 2-3 rooms, it is totally fine and intact, communication spire surviving that, and being able to stand upright is bizzare. I really hope devs will take some time and make SI part way more worn down. But anyway, the amount of work already put in is crazy, and I cant wait to see at least early versions of other regions.
Lolight2 the elite scavengers are more aggressive then the the normal scavengers! They are more likely to a spear at the slugcat if it makes them wary so try to avoid them. They will only begin to trust you when your got 70 rep points which is 10 points away from getting chieftain. Incase you didn't notice elite scavengers have ability to jump making them more mobile. Don't you think about giving up on making peace with them cause like I said having them as your enemies only makes the game harder and that can prove to be very stressful. Follow my advice to decrease difficulty. Good luck.
You enable it in the remix menu in-game after subscribing to it on Steam, and then you pick the new slugcat called "the matriarch" since it starts in the new regions :)
