Got this the first week it came out. Lovely looking thing and gets plenty of looks. It sits pretty big on the wrist at 42mm so beware. Only concern / issue is the screwpins. These are very small and need a 0.6mm flathead to secure and don't feel particularly well-threaded. Definitely benefit from having glue. I want the white MOP dial version for the Wimbledon vibes but... have to leave a few pennies over to eat don't I?
Is it just my imagination or have some aliexpress brands gone up significantly in price over the past couple years, going after a "premium" market? €250+ is approaching big-brand territory (Citizen, Seiko).
I think people's expectations have increased moving on from brands like Cadisen, Starking, Parnis, Pagani etc. to now expecting Berny, Steeldive/ Addiesdive at a minimum and quality like Seagull, Sugess, Merkur, Lobinni, Cronos, Seestern and San Martin regularly. You can look to the changes in what is reviewed on RUclips as a reflection of quality, specs and yes subsequent increases in prices filling the void where entry Seikos used to be.
Looking beyond the names or logos I think the quality is there to warrant these prices. If you spend £250 on a seiko you just don’t get the same spec that you get from the big Ali express watches
Seestern used to be my favorite Homage Brand. Hope, like you said, they can pick things up this year! This watch is awesome. Thanks for the great review!

So I will jump at the chance to order something from them - I just hope they’ll put out some new designs this year. (This is a nice looking one, I just don’t want a GMT or a 42mm size.)
I do love Seestern for their value for money, specs, price point and designs (yes almost exclusively homaged). Seesterns i have: 300T homage 600T homage 62 mas red dial homage And there are about five i still have in my Aliexpress cart to get. Silver/gray dial 62mas S430 S434 S436 GMT retro dial S446
about a year ago, I got one of their S435 series diver in rose gold and black with the upgrade Sea-Gull 2130 movement. Still very pleased with the watch and those 2130 movements are both accurate and reliable! Cheers

Looks stunning, nearly so nearly bought the green version in the sale (was actually torn between the green or your one) bit of a disappointing clasp though. Didn't in the end as spent too many pennies last year on other watches lol ( sort of now wishing i had). Cheers Gary.
Have you seen their Daytona homages? 12.5mm thick automatic chronograph. I’ve got one on the way. Very impressed with the Seestern vintage EXP II homage as well. Have it on the wrist now.
Excellent channel every time by you Sir. The Seestern watch looks quite nice and I have some of these however one main thing worth pointing out is that it is overdue to improve with their outdated clasp, moving in the update direction to a better suitable on the fly adjusting clasp like SM does also the unsigned or design to the case back is not critical however Seestern would add a greater touch to their signature of finishing touch in elegance that can move them in setting them apart as many like SM and others in cutting cost and ‘ time’ have ignored their case backs.. Thank you dear friend for your exceptional presentation and channel that undoubtedly speaks to me high volumes of exceptional value like very few can provide..

The new packaging seems to be nice. Have the Glashütte Original SeaQ "Hommage" S434 in blue with golden accents. Great lume, on-the-fly adjustment clasp, but sadly no domed sapphire. But nearly perfect. And nearly as good looking as the originals I see from time to time in a shop nearby, just 84 times cheaper but therefore with a proper bracelet. 😊 And an absolute plus is the name of the brand, which translates to starfish. 🥰
If Seestern is reading, please bring back the Seiko Monster Homage! Probably one of the best monster homage watches but they seem to have stopped making them.

Magnificent watch but I would never buy one because of the brand name.I think they couldn't have picked a more silly name... By the way,they have done such an amazing job with every little detail and they printed the logo on that beautiful dial? What where they thinking? In my opinion they should have the star carved onto the dial and the "seestern" nowhere to be seen.
I realize that there are those with larger wrists that desire these 40+ MM cases, but it won't work for me. Which is a shame because I really like that mother of pearl dial. Oh well. Great review. Thank you, Sir!
Interesting video of a nice looking watch. However I bought Seestern last year. Couldn't get the date to set. In date change position it would not wind past the 7 or the 21 when advancing. Had to go to time set mode and wind past the 7 and 21 then go back to date change to progress. Not good. is there something I am missing here ? Tried contacting the company. Pointless, no worthwhile advice or replacement / return offered. I'm now stuck with a watch that only partially works and the company backup useless. Would never trust them again. Maybe others will be lucky ? Buy cheap, get cheap. Beware.
I have the dark blue version and it is stunning! Have long lusted over the original GS and this beauty certainly scratches that itch. Finishing and build easily rivals my San Martins, maybe the clasp could have more adjustment but that's all.
Hard "no" from me. Far too expensive for a Chinese watch. At under US$150 Chinese watches have little competition from Japanese brands. I expect a lot more over $150.
Fair, but you seem to be a "hard no" because this one is over $200. Which AliExpress watch for over $200 are you a "hard yes"? Or are you saying that you will not pay over $150 for a watch from AliExpress regardless of how good it is?
@@DavidRon I have yet to find a watch on AliExpress which I think is worth over US$150 in my view. That's because under that price point there is very little competition from other brands, they can really own that price point.
Bezel should not have white color in my opinion. Dial also not matching bezel tones. Not a good looking model. Starfish logo should go, it looks childish.

I will wait for version 2, hopefully it would have an upgraded adjustable bracelet, the correct bezel for a GMT, and a decent logo.

The sub 600 v3 i have from them is phenomenal for the 120$ it costed me. They are a really good brand at the right price.

Too expensive for a GMT that doesn't even have a bi-directional bezel. For a little more money, you can get an actual Seiko.
Total trash. No quick release. No adjustment on the fly. Incorrect bezel action. Terrible lume. For $250+ utter rip off.
