Aurora is a extremely gifted singer/song writer. Her live performances are always captivating. Her songs on her albums always have great drums, this was a stripped version of the album. Her performance here is very artistic in every way. As for her eyebrows, they are natural which you hardly ever see anymore, her look is very natural compared to so many other artist, she is a natural beauty, beautiful inside and out. Thanks

Of course every one has own teste but it is one of this rare artist I just can listen random songs and love all of them :). Of course she is from Norway and not mainstream (but some of her songs are close) but I love emotions and messages and you feel truth in her music and art. But i remember that on vey start of my Aurora journey it was something that was most visible: she has great voice, great poetic lyrics, great song written by herself, but the most visible was emotions - how she feels music and how I feel her music especially from first albums.

Sometimes when I look at Aurora I think of Lothlórien and Galadriel. Although the choice to give the role to Cate Blanchett was right, I could also imagine Aurora as Galadriel. She seems to me to be the perfect elf queen because of her Scandinavian aura, even without a ring she envelops you with her magic. If you really go further down the path you will see and hear very special artists, but you have already heard that in the other comments. I'm curious whether you'll continue down the path with Aurora Aksnes, musician, song writer and producer from Norway. If not, you're missing out on something good.

    • @johnytwo

I'm not familiar with all of Aurora's music - I don't really "follow" musicians & artists the way most people do, tbh - but you gotta hear these 3 songs. The 1st one here is called 'The River' - that' the one I'm linking. The other 2 are called 'Warrior', and 'Queendom'.... these are my current favorites by her, but she's got WAY more then this, I'm sure, since she has been making music since she was very young, and now she's in her middle-to-late 20's. Enjoy!

There are creators out there - now listen to Laurie Anderson spitting bars of reflection inside the US decades ago via "Only an Expert" or "The Beginning of Memory" never to pop up on top-10 lists with qualities that make us return to it decades later.

Glad you are reacting to Aurora-- I'd have never listened to her on my own.. just outside of my wheelhouse. BUT, since stumbling across her a couple years ago I truly think she's one of the top geniuses in music over the past decade or few. Check out live stuff from her-- infectious and really interesting. This song is good.. but pretty subdued and probably not the top most impactful thing to show off her talent in a way that would grab you. Olli-- same, not what I'd normally listen to and if this was the first thing I'd heard of hers I'd probably think "hey this is surprisingly good"-- but then maybe I wouldn't delve super deep after that. Go check out the live stuff. Murder song. Runaway at nobel prize concert. Live at KEXP (churchyard), etc. Video for exist for love. It is magical-- and I'm a guy that wouldn't normally use those words about any music. :-)
