Filmed in Lakeland Florida, Damon Fowler teamed up with digital production master Shawn Berman and a list of musicians to make his latest video for "it came out of nowhere" The video features guest appearances by Berry Duane Oakley,Betty Fox ,Justin Headley and Chuck Riley.
THE WHISKEY BAYOU SESSIONS:
The Whiskey Bayou Session was recorded in the Cypress Moss covered setting on the bank of Cane Bayou (French: Ouiski Bayou) in Houma, Louisiana. With all the makings of a classic roots record it is Damon's unique guitar, Lap Steel guitar style, soulful vocals and vivid songwriting that stand at the forefront of this recording. The Whiskey Bayou Session was recorded at a bittersweet time in Damon's career. Still struggling through his friend, mentor, and band leader Allman Brothers Butch Trucks untimely death, the uncertainty after life with Butch Truck's Freight Train Band, and this recording Damon received the invitation to play guitar in Allman Brothers Dickey Betts band Great Southern. Damon Fowler began to build his legacy with the release of first record in 1999 "Riverview Drive" which was produced by guitar legend Rick Derringer. The record was followed by a few independent releases.. In 2007 Blind Pig Records signed Damon Fowler to a three record deal. In 2013 Tab Benoit produced Damon's third record for the label “Sounds of Home."
