when i killed the boss i thought it was a gimmick fight because i didnt see that the Serpenthunter had a normal attack, just the special attack that cost mana and staggers lol. just filled up on 10 mana flasks and got to town :D you can stunlock him trough the entire fight like that.

Sidenote, you can mash both bumpers to escape from grabs and take less damage. Helps when things are hugging you.

Does anyone know how to dodge the serpent’s lava attack where it sticks its head in the ground and then yanks it out causing the wave of lava to come barreling towards you? It’s hit box is too big and long to jump or roll, and it’s too wide to strafe. When I fought Rykard it was a guaranteed hit.

It may not look it, but according to the data, pointcrow is indeed getting better at the game. Down to an average of 24.5 deaths per boss (as of Rykard, not Tanith's Knight)

I first watched the rykard fight when it released and havent seen it sense. It seems like they nerfed him heavily! There is no more Magma sky and flying skulls in the 2nd phase. Was excited to see him do this fight but needless to say i was a bit disappointed that he is so much easier now. That or Eric got lucky and he never used that ability.

Man they made this game way easier with the "Balance Updates" I'm glad Pointcrow is having fun though!
Every souls game got balance patches. Both player and enemy got nerfed and buffed in different ways. What did they do that made it easier?
@@brandonfister4269 something I can remember was during the Lord of Blasphemy fight he never once used his skull attack, on earlier versions you'd at least see the skull attack 2-3 times before actually beating him, especially if you're using the serpent weapon.
@@brooklynvlogs9396 I fought him in the most recent patch and he used that twice in the battle I won in. Maybe it’s coded to proc more when using the serpent spear. Only boss nerf of any significance I can think of is Radahn, and they reversed that awhile back.
Wrote this while watching vod he was using the spear just got lucky in not seeing skulls
@@brandonfister4269 well I've watched quite a few people play this and not a single one of them got lucky. And I have heard that the more recent patches are more balanced.
