My wonderful husband bless him!!! I asked my son to get our old camping cooker down. I forgot to tell my husband to change the gas canister for a new one. As I'm born and bread camping.
Dur dur dur dur he switched it on and it blew up in his face. Luckily he wasn't burned he bravely carried it outside. Phew so brave. I most probably would have screamed which helps so much doesn't it. NOPE

I have lived without a regular range for about 5-6 years now. I stopped using mine and had it removed after I had moved my folks into my house to care for them and they started to do the walkaway while cooking thing.
I use an induction cook top that I keep in a drawer and bring out as needed, an instant pot pressure cooker, and an air fryer. I can cook anything...and for fun I have a solar oven that I play with.. no huge appliance eating up space and excess electricity, and most people don't realize that there is no range in my kitchen until I point it out to them. lol
Just found you two and I absolutely love yas what a breath of fresh air normal down to earth gems of the world . Happy new year 🎉

What a breath of fresh u both are, love watching you and have started trying all your recipe tips.
Bought 15-1 towards end of 2022 as I couldn't get the AF400 for love nor money. The 15-1 was also hard to acquire due to limited stock so I jumped at the opportunity to get one of 3 available locally at retail. In fact the other 2 machines were already allocated so I had the last one. The 15-1 came highly recommended from an owner/shop because of all the things it could do. Eventually I did get the AF400 I'd set my heart on, which was an inspired purchase after watching your videos. You wet the whistle! So hopefully, like yourselves, now got the best of both worlds. Thank you for sharing your cooking/meals/ideas. Really helpful.

I have a log burner and burn a wood pallet (free) and a couple of logs every day and then I have to use a magnet to remove the nails before adding the ash to my compost heap. Happy new year

I am with you Martin, I couldn’t believe how the fireworks went on, I enjoyed the first 10 minutes but then thought “how much is this costing ? and the poor pets who live close by and also ( am I ranting) the choking fumes for all the people watching close by, far to many fireworks. Hope you are over the worst Sharon. The new Ninja looks a bit to complicated for me, but it looks the business.

Interesting info on the little camping gas stove. I have had that problem with the flames coming out where the can is locked in! I have a board on top of my cooker as I do not use it.
Same I also had that problem with flames where thier is a gas leakege from the can ended up not using it didn't want to risk it
Hi Martin and Sharon I bought one of those paraffin heaters. It gives out a lot of heat but I couldn’t bear the smell when I turned it off. I’ve changed over to a new butane superser. Gas fire. It’s very economical and only need it on for a short time.

Get better soon Sharon. I have 2 of those camping gas stoves, on average a gas bottle lasts 1h30mins. Except for the bottle one before the one I am using now. Which only lasted long enough to boil 1 kettle of water, next time I put the stove on, the bottle was practically empty, couldn't even boil a kettle. So now every time I've finished using the stove I disengage the gas bottle. They are great to use, and they are the only thing I use in my house which is gas. I always pressure cook my vegetables, it leaves them with full flavour, and nicely cooked.
I don’t think I could give up dairy. I love it all.
I said that but it doesn't agree with so many people who just put up with it.

You will notice an incredible difference in clarity because bodily inflammation is kept relatively low. We had our pair of induction hobs for some years. We had them from a well known Chinese superstore here in Brum. If you want to see how they work just boil some milk, but don't take your eye off it. They are really quick. Check your pans with a magnet, if you can feel the magnetism they will be OK.
Sharron, get some Kaolin and Morphine Mixture. You'll be fine with Nurse Butler. He might be a bit iffy when fumbling to find your pulse but you'll be fine.

If I may a word of warning about the 15-1. Please use the front handle to open lid. DO NOT use the side one especially during cooking. Be careful as the steam from extremely hot cooking will burn your arm and hand as you lift lid. Take it from me, I learned the hard way. Not again! Used pressure cooker first time ever to do a beef stew. Took 1hr compared to approx 4 hrs in cooker. Meat lovely and tender in shorter time. Dumplings added towards end (baked?).

I got my induction compatible sauce pans a set of 3 from IKEA for less than £20 as I recall. That was a few years ago though. They may also do frying pans. The sauce pans are still going good save for one which broke but that was because my son left it soaking in the washing up bowl for ages while I was away and the rivets rusted.

Actifry (which is great) but wanted more frying space. To be fair I only use my Ninja foodi for pressure cooking meat and then crisping with the Airfry setting. Love the idea of the steam roast on the new model.
Anyhow I’m rambling as I’m bed with the virus.

Yes they never let us down in there.
you can get thermal wraps for those gas cans to keep them burning in lower temperatures but, I'll be honest I have no idea if they will still fit in the cooker btw more modern versions of these hobs including folding versions (space saving) use magnets to hold the can in position

Recycling is a chore. I’ve never done it. Everything goes in the general bin. They cannot question you about that as when it’s dropped into their collection vehicle it’s impossible to see what the bag contains. Much less hassle.
We have a shop in i Bourne like Godwin’s and that’s also a brill shop that has everything. Nice to have a shop like that about these days

@@butlersempire seems so odd that you are not really that far away. We love woodhall spa as well. There are a lot of nice little shops that sell different bits. I like the coffee shop that’s in the wooded area as well. Both take care.
