Correction: an additional feature on the Air Pro 4 is the wear sensor. The 3 did not have it. And the Air Pro 3 did come in more colors than Black. Thanks for pointing that out guys 🙏 Dudes Hopefully Rectified Mistake Elegantly.
I'm still rocking the Air Pro 2s and impressed with their customer care. One of my buds stopped working just outside the warranty period. I contacted them and with a little persistence they sent me out a replacement pair at no charge!
Great comparison, I was looking for this, you were on it. Many times you hear all the additional features from previous versions not so much sound. Thank you!!
You guys said in the video that the previous model had wear detection, but this wasn't the case. It's a new feature that comes with the Air Pro 4. Other new changes not mentioned: Bluetooth 5.4 (coming from 5.3) Supposedly 50dB of ANC (coming from 43dB) Supposedly Auracast support with a firmware update These will be available starting August 5th, can sign up now for an early bird discount, bringing it down to $62.99. Also, can confirm great customer support, seems to engage with humans when getting in touch rather than the almost automated responses you'd get from big companies such as Soundcore, Apple or OnePlus/Oppo.
I'm convinced that Earfun have been bringing their A game on with each release. As a solo product, the 4 doesn't seem to offer as much more than the 3, for the most part. If the deal is better on the 3, I'd probably still recommend those.
ANC wise - like many other buds - these cannot cancel human voices out effectively. I can easily talk to a person in front of me when ANC is on (and no music is playing of course). Controls customization is easily best across the board. Right from the buds I can adjust every setting depending on my current task, i.e. enable game mode or have different ANC cycles (Quiet-Aware on the left and Quite-Off on the right). Well done, EarFun!
@@martelljhixson Well, chances it could be a fit issue. Though I tried every but XL ear tip included with same results. Anyway, glad you get most out of them 👍
Wind reduction is not supposed to let you hear the ambient surrounding it is to try and give you ANC (so quietness) but in this mode the mics pick up wind and it can be more annoying than not wearing them at all just like bigger surfaced earbuds or full sized headphones when the wind hits them (the microphone effect).
Exactly! In most earbuds the ”wind reduction mode” is not much better in noise suppression than setting the buds to ”normal mode” (=ANC off), at least in my experience with 4 or 5 different brands (Earfun included). And it’s a lot easier to change the mode by using the touch controls, compared to turning on the wind reduction mode via the app. That’s why I don’t ever use the wind reduction mode but instead just use the normal mode. Therefore it would be really interesting to hear the reviewers’ opinion on the matter: Is the wind reduction mode actually anymore efficient in reducing the noise compared to passive isolation. In the “perfect world” it would keep up the ability to suppress most noises, at least the low rambling of traffic around you, while not letting the wind cause crackling sounds in the mics, which it always does when having the ANC on.
@@miikalammela9333 I found that Momentum 4 TWS wind reduction mode works better than normal (ANC off). That's the only good example I experienced though, all others work exactly as you said :)
Love the sound on these. I've had them for 2 weeks now (2 software updates). Only problems are sometimes only 1 bud will play and sometimes it has trouble connecting to another device (giving an incorrect pin error message). I'm sure these will eventually be ironed out. They sound better than my earfun pro 3 but are less reliable.
I have the EarFun Air Pro 3, and been happy with it. The APP is great and so is the functionality of the buds. I’m glad EarFun stuck with the same design and colour as it worked perfectly and many people don’t want flashy designer buds in their ears. I believe the Pro 4 should work with Auracast and 360 Audio, however working LE Audio is required. So if LE Audio isn’t working then really little point in upgrading. However having used the Pro 3s for over a 18 months, when the UK price is right I’ll be buying these Pro 4 also. You can’t go wrong with them.
Another great review like always guys. One thing I have to say about EarFun is that they been listening to customers and steadily pushing out updates to improve their products. I personally still like the Free Pro lineup the most, but all their products are good
Earfun definitely has good customer support. My Pro 3 esrbuds didnt meat the battery life of the charging case. Theyd average 2 charges instead of 3 charges. The battery life of the buds was very good though. Also mine had a weird issue that caused audio distortion when the buds were removed and put into my ears with anc or Ambient modes on. Audio wise they were okay not much of an open sound. My Tozo and Panasonic earbuds have a wider sound stage.
It is 11 hours with ANC OFF and it is always the case with all earbuds that is with the lowest Codec at 50% Volume unless it states otherwise so 11hours with AAC @50 Vol. Since yesterday their website has conflicting info it says 9 hours and bellow in specs still 11 hours.
Great Video as always guys, Dudes Honoring Real Media Entertainment 🎉 as for the Earfun, not really worth the upgrade sound wise from the Air Pro 3? I have the 3 and wondered if its a big step up, but doesnt seem to be.
@DHRME I make a mistake just ordering the Liberty 4NC when my priorities were battery life, multi point, no sound bleed and reasonable noise cancelling and call quality? Is liberty 4NC battery life better than these in real world testing?
as a proud owner of L4NC, I say battery quality is above average and anc is best in budget-class. I got the Earfun Air Pro 3 before 4NC's. The sound was tinny and harsh for me, I returned them and got the 4NC. Get them when on sale, it's not a bad purchase and I've had them since Sep '23 and only now does the buds show 90% when fully charged so they still have a year to go (been using them for commute at least 4 days a week).

It’s improved. No white noise for me. There must have been a firmware update. But hearing your voice like you’re talking into a mic is annoying so it’s not AirPod pro transparency level or anything like that.
