Very interesting story of a hero and a beautiful reminder of a simple, basic life with a lovely couple. These people had little, yet they offered to help others. This world lacks gratitude for what we have and lacks compassion for those less fortunate. Getting back to basics and appreciating what we have and offering love and kindness to all will create a better world and a healthier earth. Thank you for this documentary. Wonderful documentary and so good of you to preserve and share not only this couple's story of their lives, but Mustafa's father's story in his own words of his war years. Hello my friend. What a wonderful documentary!!! Please give my love, respect and gratitude to teacher Mustafa for his wisdom, wealth of knowledge and wonderful stories of growing up in village life. I hope these stories are passed down for future generations. We are losing that sense of village community and we are not a better society for it. I think it was a hard life to sustain each other, making and growing what they needed in life. They were rich with experiences, purpose, caring for their community and people in need. In my opinion, that way of living is worth far more than money. It nourishes the soul of humanity and we definitely need more of that today, now more than ever.
The heroic tales of Atinali Murat were both terrifying and fascinating. He endured incredible hardship during desperate times of war. His bravery, wits and determination to survive was captivating to hear. I know translating languages is very difficult but I got the gist of his words and stories.
Thank you very much for bringing history back to life in this video. I have thoroughly enjoyed this trip into the past lives of teacher Mustafa and his father.

I've watched this video several times now. Teacher Mustafa began the story of his father's struggles during the war. Then you added the voice recording which continues the tales of Atinali Murat.
As a documentary, you did a wonderful job transporting teacher Mustafa's generation's recollection to the voice recording of the grandfather. I understood his amazing stories of struggles, hardship and bravery facing terrible danger and marveled that you had a recording of him telling them. That is a priceless gift and thank you again for sharing it.

Elinize sağlık, yine çok keyifli bir video olmuş. Mustafa öğretmen ve Eşi'ne hayran kaldım. Küçük yaşlarından itibaren yaşadıkları o zor hayata rağmen yorulmamışlar, pes etmemişler, insan ve hayvan sevgilerinden, nezaketlerinden hiç bir şey kaybetmemişler. 1) 18:15 (altını sermek) - spread gold (this is english translaiton used in the video ) spread hay can be an alternative.
2) 18:44 (with slingshot) instead plow can be an alternative. Slingshot is an unsophisticated y-shaped weapon mostly used by children in old times.
3) 18:53 (still make cows) instead I've still been taking care of cows etc. can be more fitting in that context.
These are my reviews about the video. I cannnot help myself saying that seeing someone born in blacksea region and making video in english and was able to reach the english audience ım hundred percent flabbergasted if you happen to be in çayeli one day ı do want to treat you a cup of tea brewed by me in my village.

They live close to nature and they have plenty of food. Corn, yogurt, milk, butter, good corn bread, fruit of all kind, and most of all plenty of fish, smelt, locally called "hamsi".

Hello Murat. Thank you for sharing history. I enjoy learning history. History is important to all of us. It's a big part of who we are. Teacher Mustafa and his wife are a very humble and an extraordinary couple. Watching and listening to this couple, it is amazing how simply we can live. They had very little but shared what they had with others less fortunate. That’s compassion in a nutshell ♥️. They live a simple life now which I'm sure is stress-free. They were and continue to be giving people. I’m sure his father had a big impact and influence on his life. We know one cannot buy happiness. We all need to demonstrate love, peace, joy, patience, and kindness. I enjoy reading because I learn and it provides me with both relaxation and enjoyment. Thanks for a great documentary. Wow. Just WOW! In America, young people people can't live without the latest cell phone. They have no idea at all. I came from poverty in the 1950s. I spent my life working my ass off to never be there again, and succeeded. But I have nothing compared to this guy.
