Best performance among the ladies today! I seriously want to learn how the spin was invalidated. Maybe there could be rule(s) that i didn't know existed.

Amazing performance by Jia shin as always, definitely the judges underscored her free skate, but her performance in the Grandprix final of this same program is definitely better and her ina bauer was perfectly timed with the music.

She was called in both of her 3Fs an edge call, second one even got an e mark. When it is lutz edge, they don't see or call it, (Jia's lutz is ok) but the flip is judged a lot stricter. Jia has an inside edge on her flip, I do not understand what a correct edge on the flip is according to these judges'.
This is a GOLD performance, Mao seemed injured and her presentation wasnt the best on the event beside that fall and prerotation, i would had given it to Jia FOR SURE, this choreography and detailed presentation is unlike anything you see in this generation❤
Will be following her in the future. Thank you. Also, thanks for the respect shown for the performance & the fans by not constantly chattering during the performance.
The commentators are so dumb, Jia did not perform a supposably triple lutz-triple toe in the short, she was supposed to perform a triple flip-triple toe but only did a double because the landing on the flip wasn’t the best.
My humble opinion. A combo spin required 3 position. For sure her upright spin is not 2 rev above, so she would get a V. Now question is either camel or sit position the TP not counted it and turn out whole spin no value.
You wouldn’t call the upright? I counted 4 revs in that. I thought 3 revs was the minimum after changing feet? After watching it once I thought the upright too, but couldn’t find where it would be invalid so I went with the clear weight transfer during the change foot as to what they determined made it invalid.
No it’s just the judges were crazy strict (so unnecessary) on the individual comp with many top ones .. plus she had under rotations on the first day.. n an issue with the combo spin!

Без ультра-си не стоит надеяться на победу. Это спорт. Здесь выигрывает сильнейший.

They were calling out Mao’s as well when both are perfectly okay. I don’t know why they’re sabotaging the most promising juniors like this.
They also didn’t count Jia’s first spin at all, it got a zero. Weird judging…
And when it comes to Lz, they don't see obvious flutzes, like Sherry's, and I mention it whitout discrediting her skating or achievement@@e.i.3077
I remember the Russian girls got like +GOE for floops, flutz, excessive rotated cheated jumps.

진정한 프리스케이팅에서 1위라고 해도 과언이 아니다. 어떤 이상한 심판이 스핀에서 딴지걸어서 점수를 안줘서 2위를 했는데 정말 말이 안된다. 정말 모든세부동작들이 완벽했던 경기였다. 앞으로 신지아선수의 앞날이 큰 성공이 함께 하길 기원합니다.

Maybe they thought she re started the spin on the change foot. Many panels are tough on that.

After she change her foot, the 4 rev we called it NON BASIC POSITION (NBP) so is not an upright. Upright is before she check out the spin.
That makes the most sense….
