    I definitely think this is Bach's most sublime fugue.

      True. It definitely grew on me. It became one of my favourites.

      I agree. This is another of my favorites. The fugue really drives. BWV 915 ruclips.net/video/ERISHVNCmAk/видео.htmlsi=E_C7wekBsZWeHTwn

    Not every composer could survive to this era and still be so fresh and vivid like that....its an insight for futuristic composers

    I love these synth versions, the voices sound so clean and distinct. One of my frustrations with the church organ pieces is that things tend to get muddy, especially on a recording.

      @OrzoMondo  3 месяца назад +1

      Completely agree. I only started to appreciate fully these works when I translated them into synthesizer music. With a real organ, even the division between Oberwek and Positiv (which should be easy to hear) is somewhat muddle to my ear.

    Your dynamics and patches are flawless. And you create moments here I don't recall so beautiful ever before when listening to this classic of JSB's organ works. Sparkling with joy and energy, truly glorious! And regarding the fugue, I feel that by employing the synthesizer the different voices sound more transparent than with the church organ. I never heard this fugue in a clearer way. Wonderful!!!

    This is like a maturing of your art, seems to me. Well done! I'm glad you revised both movements and added a highlighted score. There's something hypnotic about both movements. One is kinetic--almost perpetual motion-like. the other is relentless in its obsession with stretto. I think when Bach got an idea he exhausted all the possibilities of its potential most of the time. I also want to express my appreciation that you have found a balance between the potential for sound color that electronic media provides but also for your attention to articulation and other purely musical considerations. You're still the only person that isn't using the medium as a player piano where one just "plugs in" new sound colors without any musical sense involved. Anybody can do that. Jus my opinion.

      "...when Bach got an idea he exhausted all the possibilities of its potential most of the time"
      I get the same feeling - look no further than the art of the fugue.
      Thank you so much for your support and encouragement, it has been a journey for me, but always (almost always anyway) I have enjoyed the products of my work. I don't mean I have enjoyed making them, that's almost a given, I mean that I regularly listen to these videos, and I take notes when I hear something that could be done differently.
      In short: I produce the music that I want to listen to, perhaps it's normal, but to me it sounds a bit odd.
      I feel like I started this because I wanted to hear more of Wendy Carlos' work, but she only created a relatively limited corpus, so I had to get creative and do it myself. Perhaps this explains why I try (and you notice) to make my pieces as musical as possible.

    • @OrzoMondo
      @OrzoMondo  4 месяца назад

      Sure! It's all virtual (I don't have any hardware beside my laptop), I'm using Musescore to sequence the score, and Reaper as the DAW. In terms of VST, I'm only using free synths and effects (mostly Dexed, Model-E, Surge XT, plus a bunch of Reaper standard plugins for effects). I also use Reaper for video editing. Literally, the only thing I pay for is the licence for Reaper ($60). Talking about an affordable hobby :)

      @@OrzoMondo thanks!! I’ve also picked synthing classical music as a hobby over the last few months, using musescore to sequence and Vital as a synth, but I’ve found Vital has some limitations and have been looking for something else to use. Will definitely trial Reaper, very happy to have found your channel!

    Thanks for this, OrzoMondo, I enjoyed it very much.
    This is one of those pieces I'm nowhere near capable of arranging in this way, so the 'how?' is also of interest to me. Thanks for that, too.
    I look forward to your next upload!

    El concepto de la foto es genial, pero la ejecución de la AI hace que caiga en el montón. Desconozco la capacidad de la cuenta o las ganancias que le genera el canal, pero sería un acierto que en cuanto se pueda le pague a un artista para que trabaje sobre la minatura, le daría un detalle al canal y promovería el trabajo de un artista y le contribuiría económicamente. Pero es una observación sobre la miniatura. El trabajo que hacés es impresionante, el esfuerzo que debe haber detrás y luego cómo se siente tan bien los dinámicos son detalles que se aprecian y hacen destacar el producto. Gracias por ser quien satisface esta pequeña demanda.

      Hola Joaquin, y muchas gracias por el agradecimiento! El beneficio que el canal me ha generado hasta ahora es de 0,05 euros, no creo que un artista acepte un pago de un céntimo por crear una imagen :) sin embargo, es una buena idea. Si conoces a alguien que haría esto gratis, ¡házmelo saber!

    When will you do BWV 1052 and 553??

    • @OrzoMondo

      As you know, BWV 1052 is one-third done (you can find the first movement here: ruclips.net/video/iBunkSdNZmI/видео.html), but I am already working on the third movement. As for 553, definitely in the works, but less developed. It will come :)
