Ronnie Milsap, one of the greatest pianists ever. Playing with J.D. Sumner, the lowest bass singer ever! JD says hey Ronnie, can you hit a super low G? Ronnie says hang on, let me hear your voice. Then proceeds to hit the lowest G on his piano. J.D. tells Ronnie to go lower & look for it. Lol ]😂
JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet were Elvis personal back up singers after the Jordanaires...he also had Miss Cathy Westmoreland as his solo lady singer soprano .. After Elvis died they went on tour across nation singing the religeous songs they sang with Elvis. They came to our little Browns Chapel Church south of Des Moines in Indianola Iowa. Our little country church was 30 by 60 rectangle. Very small but it was super packed. We had a pot luck dinner afterthe concert and got to talk and meet all of them personally. What a treat. Now I see JD on Old Bill Gaither TV shows. Sadly he has also passed on now. It was an honor and big privilege to meet them. 🎶🙏✝️🎶.
