I don't like reading into things much but I tried to find a connection. Not much luck. Sonic and tails are the best of buds. Always got each others' back. But I absolutely loved this song regardless. ^^
Its a song about a couple who broke up, the title is suggesting they played the sonic games co-op together when they were together and he misses it.
