Hi Sean. Another great ride! I noticed the dwell times - about a minute - were shorter than on the opening day and were further shortened at Waterloo - about half a minute!
Thanks Mark! Ok, interesting. Felt like the dwell times were still similar to opening day when I commuted to and from work the past few days. I don’t pass through Waterloo on my normal commute though so haven’t experienced the shorter dwell time there yet. Could maybe be due to Waterloo not exactly being situated in the CBD
Reportedly the Chatswood-Tallawong line broke down (or at least had a significant malfunction) on _opening day,_ so I'm frankly not surprised by this if true.
Thanks! No, actually I was lucky a person standing at the front alighted at Chatswood so was able to take the spot. I wanted to keep the original audio for this video
@@transportforsydneyvlogs7258 That’s understandable in regards to the original audio that you used. Your video will be of digital, historical significance in the future. Not everyday do we get a new Harbour crossing 👍
I reckon 99% of people will make good use of the transit system without vandalising any part of its infrastructure. With more fencing installed along the metro corridor as part of the metro conversion, we should see far less disruptions and trespassers, if any, once the South West section opens. I rarely see dirt or garbage on metro trains when hopping on from a North West Line station, and appear to be well maintained and cleaned
@DJ99777 What's even sadder is a good advancement to Sydney and its public transportation is being showcased in this video and yet people like you are too busy and focused with pressing on with the same tired 'this suburb/that suburb' garbage. Filth never had a postcode. Bloody honestly, it's 2024. The 90's and 2000s are long gone. Put this pathetic nonsense to rest for once and pull your head in.
To be fair, almost the entire journey is underground after Chatswood where you don’t see much but glimpses of the stations and a few crossover junctions…
Well done to all those hard workers that made this journey possible.
Yes, indeed! Hats off to all the workers, designers, architects, directors, etc.
great pov. you can see the curves, the alignment and gradient. hopefully it was smooth, that is important to standing passengers.

They will be running trains every 5 mins this weekend!! YAY!!! 😍❤️🤙
It was really cool because yesterday I was riding in between Sydenham and Waterloo. The Metro broke down.

Hmm didn’t hear any major issues on day 1 so hopefully the delay wasn’t too long for you
Cool vid. I bet you had to run to get that position for the camera. I also make transport videos on RUclips. Seemed weird to me not hearing music.

Awesome
Thank you!
👌👌👌👌👌👌
Sydney Metro City 👌👌👌👌👌👌 indeed
How long did the journy took ?
The journey took 24 minutes. The vid is 24 minutes long and is real time from leaving Chatswood to arriving at Sydenham
Yes, the journey is around 23mins
Arrive Sydenham then continue our journey to bansktwoj
This will be possibly later next year when full conversion of the Bankstown section is completed and due to open :)
@@transportforsydneyvlogs7258 Pleased to think they can complete it to Bankstown in relatively short time!
It’s very sad they are extending it to Bankstown. I assume enough filth already gets on out in the north west without having to go south west.

It's getting worse, youth delinquents and thugs in the north west roaming the metro at night
@@user-ix4zy2rv1l I bet!

😂😂😂😂😂
Well, that was boring.
