Both cards are beautiful, but the stitched one is stunning with that bright fuchsia color thread. I love stitching on cards. I haven’t used this months die yet, but will very soon. I’ve never worked with satin embroidery thread before just cotton. I might have to get a couple of skeins to try it. Making balloons out of the ovals was such a creative idea and the card turned out beautiful.
I have watched a few previous videos of yours, especially your stitched cards, as I have discovered how much I enjoy stitching on cards. My Mom is a cross-stitcher, and I was looking for ways to make cards for her (both to give to her for special occasions as well as to make some cards for her to give to her friends) more special for her, and so I have been stitching on cards, mainly the sampler type previously, but now I am keen to try some of these stitching dies which take up a lot less time to create and are different, those from mainly Spellbinders. You have such a lovely way of presenting yourself and your cards that makes it very enjoyable to watch your videos, and I just subscribed to your channel. I think that you are a great creative artist to showcase Spellbinders products, especially their stitching dies, and I look forward to watching your upcoming videos as they come out. I especially like this set of layered dies as this strip is different than the other stitching dies that Spellbinders has brought out for us. To Spellbinders- I would love to see some stitching dies to create something with more stitching to do and to have some variety in the stitching and to make the stitching demands more challenging, to learn more in stitching and to have more options for creating patterns and stitching options using these dies. I understand that this would take more effort to create and it would involve creating dies specifically for those who want to stitch vs these dies that can be used by stitchers but they can also be left without the stitching, or as this imaginative artist did in this video, she left out that layer, which I thought was very interesting and neat. Perhaps there are not enough card-makers who love to stitch and who want more of a stitching challenge and to be able to create something with more to do that would take much more effort, but imagine the reward of such effort, plus those of us who enjoy stitching would have such fun creating this!!! Blessings and best wishes, Joanne
Love your cards! These would make great masculine cards which I struggle with all the time! Also appreciate how you bring in dies from other kits -- such a clever girl!
Splendid cards, Jackie! Can’t choose a fav as I love them both. I can’t do any sewing any more as my hands just won’t cooperate, but I have seen where people just draw the lines and it looks like sewing, just not as dimensional. Anyway, great job with these dies!
Oh…my…goodness! Gorgeous cards. Love the colors. Can’t wait to see all the beautiful things you make with this next group of Spellbinders kits. I love stitching on my cards. Very clever using the balloons in the oval cutouts of the die strip.
I love stitching on cards. I am a “cross-stitcher” first, paper crafter second so this is a winning combination for me….the best of both worlds!
I'm new to it... but I do really love stitching on cards. It's a way to make card making a bit portable . Your cards are very nice!
Both cards are great but I really like the second one!
Love stitching on my cards
