I'm back with another animal crossing lofi remix :)
this time I decided to work on K.K. Love Song - a song that my villagers really love to sing haha.

I'm doing a 365 Days of Music challenge, and I chose this for Day 255! Here's a slightly-abridged piece I wrote on it:
**Day 255:** "K.K. Love Song LOFI version"
A lot of great things have happened around my birthday. I've had some really fun adventures. I got introduced to Animal Crossing on my 9th birthday. It was one of the best birthday parties I had ever had, easily one of the most memorable. It wasn't easy to get Nintendo decorations back then, but my family went all-out Mario-izing the living room to give me a Mario themed birthday party. I remember a gift bag quoting that classic Mario 3 Toad Shop line and package boxes made to look like blocks and cut-out stars hanging from the ceiling fan.
Not long after getting Animal Crossing, I got a letter from Nintendo in-game because it came with that memory card where you get the bonus gift. I got K.K. Love Song, Clu Clu Land, and Excitebike. K.K. Love Song remains one of my favorite K.K. songs. It was my first ever! I wouldn't actually meet K.K. and find out about getting more music until quite a bit later.
This lofi cover captures the charm and nostalgic feelings I have for the original while capturing the soft sounds of lofi music beautifully. As nice as it is and as nostalgic as I am for the original aircheck, I wish it sounded a bit more like this -- I do feel like the original sounds a bit too detrimentally empty compared to some other tracks (such as K.K. Slack-Key or Stale Cupcakes), which can dissuade me from picking it to play in my AC house. Here, the simplicity is an asset, like with Stale Cupcakes, and the background sounds fuller and deeper. It's a lovely arrangement of a tune that is lovely at its core.
